ter is the only one who is locally living in Savannah, although she is military so her schedule is quite busy. Although her husband lives in another state, Rich fit she and her husband in over a longer weekend in February to do their couples photos so we could use them on their invitations. The photos he took were gorgeous. He captured them perfectly and our biggest issue was in making choices. This past weekend for the vow renewal once again Rich delivered. He arrived on time to the place where our daughter was getting ready and started snapping photos. He listened to us about the important photos we would want and made sure to capture them for us all. I've only seen a few so far, but wow, just wow. They are stunning! Rich has a gift for story telling through photos but also he has an artistic gift to capture the beauty and magic of extra special events. I cannot wait to see them all and I know once again we are going to be faced with the problem of making choices. ade us feel so comfortable and the pictures came out wonderful! On our wedding day I had no worries and knew Rich would capture our day perfectly. And then I met Alicia and it got even better. She was there every step of the way. Fixing my dress, holding my bouquet, facilitating family pictures... She was great! On the day Rich sent us our gallery we went out for brunch. Both of our phones died that afternoon because we couldn't stop looking at the pictures. I had to assure the waiter that we did like each other, we were just on our phones the whole time because we had just gotten the most amazing pictures of our wedding. Hire Rich! In addition I noticed he took advantage of various spots throughout the trail with great lighting that helped to create excellent photos. He managed to take some boring and unattractive rooms we were using before our wedding to get ready and made them look beautiful through the use of dramatic lighting. Our families were also impressed with how quick and organized he was with the family shoot after the ceremony. When we got our photos back we were more than pleased. We had a hard time picking a favorite with there being so many photos that we loved! There was a wide variety of perspective, composition, dynamic lighting, and overall interesting photographs of many important details such as the florals and some of the surrounding environment and decorations. We would definitely recommend him as a photographer for your wedding!

He and his assistant were on time, professional, fun, and captured amazing images that showcased the many emotions of our special day. He delivered a 'preview' and gave us access to all of our wedding pictures (which were beautiful, btw) quickly and the service that he uses for online ordering has also been very easy for us to use. We appreciated that it was always easy to communicate and plan with Rich. He's a pro with lots of experience in Savannah events, so he was able to weigh in with helpful advice when we had questions as we planned the wedding. We also appreciated that they really put us at ease during the engagement shoot and during our formal wedding portraits - we didn't feel awkward or forced while we were posing. Several of our guests also commented that the photographers were friendly and unobtrusive (they got a lot of good candids) and also willing to take photos of groups of guests. We were so pleased that Rich sent us our photos so quickly (less than 2 weeks after the event)!

his wife and son... went with us to take our engagement photos at Ft. Jackson. They knew the area very well, the best time to go and we had a blast creating funny poses and moments. We went early morning and were able to get our photos done before it got way too hot. They turned out incredible and Rich got us the photos back within 2 weeks. They were so great that we had him create our Save-the-dates. He really listened to what we wanted, the style and colors. Fast forward to our wedding, July 2017. The day was a whirlwind of fun and both Rich and Alicia were there taking pictures and guiding us every step of the way. They are wonderful and captured all of our happy moments. What I love the most about their photography is that they capture people in the moment. Not much is really posed and if it is, he's taking 15 pictures to your one pose, just to get a genuine facial expression or a genuine moment in time. We saw some of our pictures during our honeymoon and not long after we got back, we have the rest. My now husband, Chase, and I wanted someone familiar with the area who knew good spots to take pretty pictures, and someone who uses a photo-journalistic approach to capture genuine moments as they happen. BAM. Rich exactly! Him and his assistant, Alicia, were absolutely awesome! They were so patient and helpful with my and Chase's awkward nature in front of the camera - we're so bad at taking/posing for pictures! Rich and Alicia were able to help us relax and give us the direction we needed in an efficient manner. They met us for our engagement session where Chase and I first met: GA Southern University. I knew I had made the right photographer choice when those pictures came out quickly and beautifully! He had managed to take both nice, formal portraits as well as sweet candids that captured our personalities and how we feel about each other. The photos they took at our small, intimate Savannah wedding not only reflected this nature, but outdid our expectations. First of all, I still cannot believe our entire gallery was available to us only 6 days after our wedding!! Do they sleep?? While Chase and I looked at our huge abundance of pictures, I cried like a baby on more than one occasion. The pictures were more beautiful than I had imagined and each photo brought me back to what I was feeling at that exact moment on the best day of my life. I have never thought of myself as particularly photogenic nor do I care for my smile, but I felt myself actually feeling beautiful and loving how I look with my husband, family, and friends in the photos Rich and Alicia took. I MUST commend them on accomplishing the impossible!! All in all, they went beyond any expectations I had. They were attentive and accommodating like most brides desire, but they were also so much more. We were actually able to TALK to them and cut-up and hang out at our reception. That was the priceless part of our experience with Rich & Alicia - being able to CONNECT with people past a purely professional relationship. I will definitely refer Photos by Rich Burkhart to friends and would love to work with him in the future. (Maybe baby session down the road?? :) ) I highly recommend them anyone in the Savannah or surrounding areas wanting beautiful pictures and an excellent photography experience on a budget right for them. Rich was efficient and made everyone of all ages feel at ease. He does an outstanding job of capturing candid moments. Two days after our wedding he already had photos uploaded to Instragram with our wedding hasthtag and we had our edited photos not even two weeks later! Our experience - A definite lack of photo-geniality had my husband and I a bit concerned about how our wedding photos would come out. Rich quickly put us at ease and made us feel great about the entire process we were starting on! From the start of our engagement session, through our big day, we had full confidence. Rich and his team were friendly, professional, and flexible. He put up with our goofiness, random demands, and changes in weather too. Because it is so important, I will repeat - friendly, professional, and flexible! We love our photos and will genuinely cherish them forever! My only negative comments would be about two moments/photos that were wanted, but not received. We did have two photographers for the ceremony and start of reception to allow for different views, but I'm not sure what happened. The first missed moment/photo was me (the bride) getting off of the trolley at the square and seeing my father for the first time that day. I was immediately frustrated, but new I had to let it go instantly. My father isn't hugely sentimental anyway, so I am more okay with it now that some time has passed. The second missed moment/photo would be of the groom while I walked down the aisle.. Sad one there. Again though, we overall loved working with Rich. We would do it again without thinking! Oh and his turn-around time of getting you your photos is AMAZING! He is true to his word about getting them to you before you get home from your honeymoon. That's unheard of!
