ottage and grooms loft with the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Communication was definitely there during the planning which was amazing. They offered food tasting on a specific day each month which was helpful, though it mainly had items we weren’t interested in serving. The catering included the cake so we -bought- the cake taster tray at the event, as they only offered one flavor to try. There was a minimum dollar amount, we had a smaller wedding (70 guests) so therefore we added on extras to make it so much more special and to hit the minimum dollar amount. The extras we added on were the upgraded passed appetizers, inside and outside bar, fire pits, assorted cookie bar, upgraded meals including salmon and steak, and two kinds of dips for late night snacks. I’ve been hesitant to review because it wasn’t what I expected, though my guests were impressed. The day of the wedding it rained-no big deal. We were able to do pictures inside, though when it came to any kind of availability, we couldn’t find many staff members except one guy setting up. Everything was arranged as I asked, beautifully, though staff members were scarce. We chose to also have the bar open pre-ceremony to have our guests comfortable with a drink in hand. After the ceremony we had the cocktail hour continue with the passed appetizers. The ones we looked forward to the most (Beef Wellington) were barely passed out in addition to the staff neglecting to pass them to us, the bride and groom. They did set a plate at our table with two of each appetizer so we could try after social hour but they were not good by the time we got to them. Next was salad, rolls, and then our entrees. Not everyone got rolls, though the guests raved about the food. The night carried on and I noticed more flaws- fire pits were out but not lit, the outside bar was indeed not opened and when my MOH asked they said they would have to shut down the inside bar to have the same bartender tend outside. What? When it came to the dance floor, the dj had asked us about staff to clear more of a space with the tables and no one could be found to help so the dance floor stayed limited. The cookies and dips at “late hour” were mediocre unfortunately, but not upset they were included. Prior to our wedding date they said if we wanted to include gratuity, it must be done prior. That’s ironic. Overall the venue and event was worth it, and it still was the best day ever, though over $16k for one day felt excessive with promises not fulfilled.

inens. We did not even need to find a bakery as they do the wedding cake in house! The food was absolutely amazing at the taste testing and even better at our wedding. Brenna was great at answering any questions before our big day and on the big day. I felt so secure with her as our venue coordinator. The bridal cottage where we got ready was amazing and the hairstylists and makeup artist were able to set up and get great light in there to help make us up. Our ceremony went so smoothly and the transition into the reception and dinner was great. Everyone was able to sample the passed appetizers and staff were very helpful during dinner. Drinks were made quickly and expertly, I cannot think of one thing that went wrong or one thing that I would change about our wedding day at Piazza Messina.

ce. Planning our wedding was a breeze, thanks to Avery and Mark. They were so responsive and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. We never felt overwhelmed or stressed, which is a huge win, especially while in the middle of our last year of college. The staff were incredible—quick, efficient, and super friendly. They took care of everything so seamlessly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Jeff met my parents when they visited the venue for a meeting and they mentioned how friendly and easy he was to talk to. They knew what we needed before we even asked. Since the venue is owned by Russo’s Catering, the food was fantastic. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. The bar service was equally impressive; drinks were served smoothly and they even included our signature drinks. The ceremony was stunning because the venue itself was gorgeous, and we even had the delightful surprise of deer peeking through in the background. It added a magical touch that our guests are still talking about. Even though we weren’t there to see it, we heard the cleanup was done in record time. The staff’s efficiency was clear, and it was great knowing they handled everything so well. I even got to talk to Justin who was overseeing our event and was ensuring every detail was how we wanted it. Overall, The Piazza Messina made our wedding day truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue with fantastic service, amazing food, and a beautiful setting, this is the place. We’re so grateful for everything they did and couldn’t recommend them more!

ily, was my venue coordinator, and she made sure that every detail was exactly as we had discussed! As a bridal party we utilized the bridal cottage for the women, which was beautiful, clean, and spacious for a large bridal party. We were able to accommodate for 27 hair and make up services that day with the help up 5 different artists! The gentlemen were more than happy with the grooms loft, as it too was clean, edgy, and provided accommodation for a large bridal party! Following suit, we did choose to use the company catering (RUSSO’s catering), as this was one of the largest factors in choosing this venue. Being a baseball family we chose to do stations for our dinner and has a first base, second base, third base, and home (dessert) stations. The food was presented well, stayed warm, and received many compliments throughout the night and the days following the wedding! In fact, many of our guests were trying to box up what was left to take home LOL! I could not have been happier with the decision we made to use the piazza as an all day venue! We chose to stay and never leave, despite the forecast predicting lots of rain! Have no fear, we had pictures that were inside the venue just as beautiful as the outside!!
