Caleb and team are absolutely amazing! They are so professional and an amazing team to have on your side for your wedding day. Caleb answered all of my questions as I threw them at him through my year and a half of planning and he answered with such knowledge that made me feel so comfortable when I was stressing. We did our engagement shoot with Caleb as well and I couldn't have loved the way they turned out more. Planning a wedding yourself is stressful so you have to trust the vendors you hire to help you and Caleb was an incredible vendor to have to guide me. I was very stressed with making sure we have all of the shots we wanted while having him for what ended up feeling like such limited time and having to travel from one spot to another along with being in the city of Chicago which is not easy to navigate. He handled our requests and desires with such ease you know he's great at what he does! Caleb also scoped out the photo spot we wanted ahead of time and ended up pulling some strings for us to still get into the gardens while there was an event going on and I could not have even foreseen that without his help. His wife, Alex, is his second shooter and she is an amazing support to him to help get all of us in line for him to do his best work. We also had video through Pickman Photography and his cousin who shot for us was getting absolutely everything to really have such a full sense of everything that was happening all day. We had a large wedding with traveling to new locations and a lot of different people to wrangle and Pickman Photography did an incredible job with putting up with us, keeping us on schedule and capturing all the moments we want to relive forever. We cannot wait to see how our wedding photo and video turns out from the wedding because we know they are going to be absolutely perfect when we had this crew on our side. Hey, I'm Caleb! I'm the owner and lead photographer behind Pickman Photography. I've spent over 16 years photographing weddings, and somehow, I still get excited about every single one. My approach is pretty simple: great photos, genuine moments, and actually having fun along the way. I want you to look back at your wedding photos and remember what the day *felt* like, not just what it looked like. I love the big moments, the little ones you didn't even realize were happening, and everything in between. I'll step in and give direction when you need it, but I also know when to hang back and let things unfold naturally. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourselves. Your wedding day shouldn't feel like one long photo shoot. It should feel like the best party you've ever thrown, and I'll be there to make sure you have some incredible photos to remember it. wedding, the venue set up the ceremony in the wrong location! Caleb and his team had to set up, break down, and set up again, which they did quickly and efficiently. He had great suggestions for the shots and angles. Will definitely work with Caleb again.

o take our little girl's newborn pictures. He was the ultimate pro even though we were forced to rush him through the shoot and our little one woke up mid-pictures. Soon after those pictures, we again contracted Caleb to take our engagement photos. As always, he did great work and took some beautiful pictures. We are so excited to see what he does with our wedding coming up later this month! Caleb and his team will being doing both pictures and video for us and we cannot wait to relive the memories through his work. f the hottest days of the summer - 95+ degree temps. Needless to say, by the end of the shoot we were all SO sweaty but you can't tell in any of our photos! Despite the wicked heat, Caleb spent an hour and a half with us taking tons of shots, suggesting lots of poses, getting on the ground for cool angles, and ensuring we got the shots we were hoping for. He is such a nice guy and both my fiancé and I felt completely comfortable with him. To top it all off, our sneak peak was shared 4 days after the shoot and we got all our pictures 3 weeks after that - so fast! We don't have enough good things to say about Pickman Photography! We can't wait for our big day and are so glad Caleb will be capturing each moment! UPDATE: Caleb and his team did such an amazing job capturing our special day that it took us exactly a year to put it into words. Caleb is exactly what you want in a wedding photographer--professional, quick to respond, always on time, and has a creative eye for photo opportunities. We were left with stunning photos that friends and family still obsessed over. We originally did not want videography, but changed our minds a couple months before our wedding and are so glad we did! Having the ceremony, speeches and dances on video for us to watch every year is priceless. We can't thank Caleb enough for capturing our day so perfectly and for leaving us with such gorgeous photos!

He literally got drenched for us! We got married at Montrose Harbor and the waves were huge hitting the sea wall. It was a rainy and cold November day and he encouraged us to take some amazing and unique photos, all the while getting splashed on himself! He also encouraged some additional shots after dinner when we snuck out for some night time photos on the dock. He did amazing and I would recommend him to anyone!

The photographers are professional and talented. They are able to have fun but maintain order and keep the flow of events on track. Caleb was able to assist me on some basic wedding planning decisions and offered great advice. Overall if you are looking for photography/videography Pickman Photography is top notch; while wedding planning can be stressful, they'll make that detail a real pleasure!

the pictures around--it only took a week. My brother used a different photographer in Kansas City that charged twice as much, took almost 3 months to get the pictures back, and had poor results. Caleb made our special day something memorable, and we have amazing pictures. The best part is he was very competitive in price.
