She gave us gentle direction for posing that was very helpful, without being too overbearing or making it feel forced. We got so many amazing photos! I could not ask for more!! We also asked several technical questions regarding digital photography and she was able to answer all satisfactorily which was reinforced by the final product. In the months leading up to our wedding her communication was routine, clear, and very helpful. We also appreciated her thorough contingency plan in the event of illness. On the day of our event Danieka was punctual and professional as well as kind, humorous, a good communicator, cheerful, and didn't add stress. We were also pleased with her assistant Dusty who added extra angles and artistic take. Both Danieka and Dusty were adaptable and responsive to special requests, for example taking photos in a specific location, or staying past our agreed upon time to capture photos of our dancing. We received many comments on the artistic and technical quality of photos when we shared our photos with guests after the wedding. Danieka was a solid member of our “wedding team” and we highly recommend her.

And the photos <3 ... so incredibly beautiful!! Not only were all of our portraits and group shots stunning, she is an expert at candid shots. We have so many great photos of our guests enjoying the event and each others' company ... she really captured all of the memories for us. I recommend her 1000%!

mple searches while planning, as I am not from the area. I loved her work and contacted her immediately. We set up a zoom call to meet (being 3,000 miles away), and she has been a true professional from the start. My husband and are not the “pose for photos” type (we are so awkward).. yet capturing the moments was extremely important to me- especially with our whole family being together. Danieka made it so easy. She directed us perfectly, yet also allowed everything to magically flow. She has a great passion for what she does and an extreme eye for detail. She was also so patient (believe me… getting ready was an ordeal). Receiving our photos felt just as good as our special day. She promised to tell a story and to me, it’s the best story ever told… We couldn’t be happier.

Not only was she very responsive via email (leading up to our engagement photos) but she made it such an enjoyable experience. We met at Bear Creek Redwoods, she brought an assistant with her and the whole time - gave us tips/tricks on how to hold each other, which direction to look at etc. It was our first time taking any sort of professional photos and it was nerve wracking in the beginning but we felt more comfortable as time passed. It took a couple months to get our photos but man, they were worth the wait! She did such a great job editing the photos and I had a hard time choosing which photos to add for our wedding invitations (ha!). I would highly recommend Danieka and her work! She was so easy to work with and we love our engagement photos.

t with pictures of EVERY guest? Yeah...Danieka took it in stride and just laughed with me. From our very first call, I KNEW Danieka was the photographer for us. She was flexible -- and in an age of COVID and crazy planning, I can't stress ENOUGH how important flexibility and empathy has been -- and really focused on what WE wanted. She has this incredible thread of creativity, sending me sample photos and inspirations of shots that were unique and not like the standard "cheesy wedding pose photos" you see all over Pinterest. Unlike other photographers we talked to, Danieka was more concerned about our style, our goals and what we wanted...so that she could bring ideas that would make every moment OURS. While others just sent us previous portfolios...Danieka was sending us examples of sets and set ups from editorial spreads along with examples of other amazing moments she had created with other couples. On the day, we ended up throwing a reception party having had our "wedding" via zoom on the originally scheduled date (Take THAT Covid! LOL!). And there was Danieka, ready to roll with whatever changes and crazy not-a-wedding-but-a-wedding-receiption ideas I threw at her. She was in all the spots to capture all THE moments. I can't say enough about Danieka other than this...you WILL NOT REGRET having Danieka be part of your day. She isn't just there to snap photos that look like everyone else's wedding album. She is there to capture YOU and all the joy, laughter and special moments that will happen between you and your friends and loved ones. I feel like we didn't hire a wedding photographer but instead found our family's photo historian who will hopefully be there to capture many more of life's crazy moments for years to come!
