About this vendor
Picwood isn't a traditional photo booth. No curtain, no countdown, no silly props. Instead it's a portrait booth that captures raw moments, expressions and friendship at events large and small. We created Picwood to capture your moments in a beautiful, memorable form. We hope that Picwood can help add and capture the joy of your event, while stepping outside of the instant gratification of selfies, posed iPhone photos and digital photography in general. Yes, Picwood is 100% digital, but you take your own picture, you don't see yourself in a screen, and a crowd gathers to watch the portraits flow in. It's an intimate, entertaining experience. It's authentic and it's Picwood.

have been the same without it. We were looking for something a little different from the traditional photo booth with props and I can honestly say booking Picwood was one of my best decisions when planning. Easily worth every penny! Definitely recommend.

Some of the best photos I've ever seen. So much fun, too! Our guests loved it (and at least a dozen of them made their Picwood photo their new Facebook profile photo!)

that it wasn't another cheesy photobooth!
When planning our wedding, my fiance and I imagined our reception to be a unique and fun experience for our guests. When considering a small wedding gift to give them to thank the...
m for coming, we didn't just want to gift them with a small bag of M&Ms that they would leave sitting at the table. We wanted to provide them with an experience and a memory that would last a lifetime. Therefore, we started researching photo-booths. All of the photo-booths we found seemed very typical. They were corporate, money machines that took up a TON of space and may or may not have had cheesy props to make the experience seem unique. None of these fit with our wedding and what we had envisioned for our guests. Luckily, a friend told us about Picwood. Picwood is described as a modern portrait booth that captures raw moments, expressions, and friendships. It did just that and more! The small set was not an eye-sore like some of the other curtained booths you may see. In fact, it wasn't a booth at all! It was an attractive, almost added piece of decor, that fit conveniently where we wanted it. The camera was SO easy to use by our guests with no countdowns, curtains, or props, and instantly became the hit of our reception. Picwood captured raw moments of our family, friends, and us as a couple in black and white, which -let's be honest- makes everyone look great! The pictures were ready the next day and almost immediately following their post, our guests' profile pictures and cover photos (including our own!) changed to the memories captured by Picwood that no other camera at the reception could have captured. The owners were fantastic to work with, and the price was competitive and well worth it. I highly recommend you contact PIcwood at picwoodkc.com and request their presence at your next event!
