nted, there isn’t anything she can’t do! Maryn helped us create the exact cake that we were looking for from inspiration photos and exceeded all of our expectations. My family embarrassingly took the rest of the cake to the hotel after the wedding and went for seconds and thirds! My mother has a baking business and was raving about Maryn’s incredible buttercream and the lightness and fluffiness of the cake. We had so many people ask us where our gorgeous/delicious cake was from!! Maryn created the cake of our dreams and was SUCH a pleasure to work with. We absolutely adore her! Don’t miss out on meeting this wonderful human!

o quick to respond, always on top of it, explaining things in detail (who knew cake was so complicated?!) and just had the best attitude the entire way through. I feel like we emailed her so much and she was always so happy to respond and so helpful and accommodating. We had one gluten free dairy free cake and then two regular cakes, all different flavors, and we also had nut allergies of guests, and a bunch of other requests and questions that she seamlessly took care of! I also wanted to surprise my husband with a huge cookie with a picture of him on it for his birthday and she helped me arrange that, kept it in secret, delivered it in secret, and it was not only delicious but beautiful and a great hit!! But more than that Maryn was just so lovely to work with. She is enthusiastic and warm and kind and it was nice to have her throughout the whole experience. Plus, the cake was unbelievably good and so many of our guests said so as well! HIGHLY highly recommend her! We had chocolate cake with honey buttercream topped with honey comb that she made, as well as a vanilla cake with lavender butter cream and real lavender on top for reference. The gluten free version was perfect, moist, and delicious! We'll be using her from now on if when we need cakes or sweets in the future!

She made three cakes (almond, salted caramel, and cookie butter / vanilla) for our wedding (along with two birthday cakes prior to our big day, both of which were incredible beyond words, but I’m going to talk mostly about the wedding, because DAMN!) and my ONLY regret was not being at the venue when she dropped them off so I could hug her. The entire process from start to finish was incredible (cake tasting was definitely one of our favorite parts of wedding planning) and we got so many compliments on how mind-blowingly incredible the cakes were. I had a slice of each and then we ate leftovers for breakfast in the morning. So, so good. The cakes also actually freeze very, very well, so if you can’t finish all of your leftovers, slice them up and save them for later. Unfortunately, we can’t get married again and again, so we won’t be ordering any more wedding cakes, but we will absolutely be forever clients for birthdays and big events and just because cakes. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

h. With LA County's guidelines changing every week, my mind and direction changed a lot in terms of what I wanted to do. Maryn was so friendly and helpful to bounce ideas off of, and she was always very prompt and thorough in our correspondence. The events manager at our venue also made a point of telling me later about how lovely and easy she was to work with! The cake and cupcakes we ordered were stunning and so delicious. We did a 4 tier cake decorated with real blooms provided by my florist that Maryn artfully placed all over the cake. Our pictures are STUNNING! We also ordered 4 different flavors of cupcakes to serve to guests that everyone raved about. We had a hard time choosing between all of the options she offers, so I highly recommend you reach out and place a trial order - you won't be disappointed! We can't wait to work with her again for a future party.

There were vanilla with cinnamon icing, vanilla with nutella icing, chocolate with peanut butter icing, I mean I could go on. Her prices are really reasonable and her cake tastes wonderful. We didn't get to have much cake on our wedding day because we were chatting with guests, but we made sure to get the left over cake. We are enjoying the left overs tremendously. Maryn- you helped our wedding live on, even after it was over with your amazing cake. We plan to use you for future birthdays and any other excuse of an event we can come up with, just to have your cake. Wishing you all the best!

yn is such a pleasure to work with - her enthusiasm for what she does really shines through. She created our cake exactly as we had envisioned it. It was as gorgeous as it was delicious and the dessert bar with assorted cookies, mini-cupcakes and bars was a big hit with our guests. Next time I have a special occasion birthday or event, I'm definitely going straight to Maryn for the cake and goodies.

re so excited to find such an amazing baker that was actually affordable! We ended up ordering the vanilla cake with almond frosting for one tier and nutella frosting for another. It was delicious! All our guests were talking about how fresh and moist and yummy the cake was. Maryn delivered the cake to our venue and even decorated it with flowers. other decorator do a test run and it was horrible. My wedding being a less than a month away I was so nervous that I wasn't going to find anyone within my budget. Not only did Maryn deliver she did it with a quite a tasty cake. I even had her do my gender reveal cake a couple of years later. You can't go wrong with her!

I have ordered the oreos for two other occasions since then; once for a Christmas holiday dinner favor and once for an engagement party. Both times, the oreos were amazingly decorated and everyone thought they were absolutely fantastic!

professional, beautiful, and delicious desserts for our wedding. We received a custom cake for our theme, "Disneyland in the Sand." It was a beautiful sand castle cookie butter buttercream cake, decorated with beautiful shells and starfish, topped off with our choice in cake toppers. Needless to say, the cake was beautiful and our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was. There were a few guests stealing pieces off of tables of guests who had left early. People went crazy for this cake, and there is no guarantee that we will not eat it before the first anniversary as is tradition. Alongside the cake we got mini red velvet and funfetti cupcakes. All of which were gone in the blink-of-an-eye. We also ordered chocolate covered oreos as part of our favor boxes which were delicious and very popular. The one thing you will get by going with Piece of Cake LA is SWEET. Sweet service by the very sweet Maryn, sweet desserts and cake that taste delicious, an affordable price that is pretty sweet, and a final product that will make even your mom say... dude... SWEET. Enjoy your sweet! Update: 2017 the frozen cake was SOOO good. Everyone wanted to come by and taste a piece and those that did were not disappointed!

WOW did we get them! -Nutella Hand Pies (don't ask just get as many as you can-trust me) -Peanut Butter Blondie Bars (can't eat just one) -Brown Butter Sea Salt Chip Cookies ( the size of your hand and my personal fav! Also Gluten free) -Chocolate Dipped Oreo Cookies ( each with different designs on top) Our guests were amazed with the options and definitely the taste! We chose bags to put extra deserts to go in and couldn't have picked a better favor. Maryn is a pro-no issues on the big day-price was what we agreed upon-and she's a sweetheart to boot. Do yourself a favor and order the absolute best deserts in LA- Piece of Cake LA gets two frosted cookie crumb covered thumbs up!

We also had her make her chocolate covered Oreos (in my humble opinion the best around!) that had our logo on them. They were sealed with a label that said "Thank you for sharing this sweet event with us!" The valet put 2 in the very car... was the perfect end to the evening for our guests! Maryn is truly the best!!!

Not only are her desserts amazing (the best buttercream I have EVER had), but her presentation is flawless. Maryn also went above and beyond on our wedding day. It was the hottest day on record (97 degrees) and she made sure that everything remained perfect. Not 1 chocolate chip in a cookie or brownie melted!
