ted Sydney Stair is wonderful to work with! She ensures your VIPs are well taken care of the day of and is very responsive to answering questions. We only needed an external photographer, DJ, and flowers. Everything else was included in our wedding package! The venue is also picture perfect and did not require many decorations. I repurposed my bridesmaid bouquets for the centerpieces, and since we had our ceremony on the terrace (facing the clubhouse), no external decorations were required. The Piedmont Club offers the best value in town for one of the prettiest locations!

I was originally drawn to Piedmont Country club when I saw an ad that said “Be a guest at your own wedding” – and I have to say, I really felt like they delivered on that advertisement. I wanted to be able to work with a venue on the front end with choosing vendors and creating a timeline but then be able to do a few simple check-in’s in the week beforehand and enjoy that week / wedding day when friends and family are in town. Sydney was incredibly organized, helped connect me with, and work with, all of the vendors, keep the bridal party corralled on the wedding day itself, and drove my husband and I, plus the photographers, down to the golf course for photos during cocktail hour and even brought us drinks to have. After the wedding she emailed to let me know we had left a few items – including the top layer of the cake! – at the venue which I had completely forgotten so we were able to retrieve those. In addition to the entire wedding running so smoothly from start to finish, the food was delicious and the wait staff / bar staff were very friendly and hard working. I highly recommend this venue to anyone who would like to host an event where they get to actually relax and enjoy the event!

ter) - My wife like all of the chairs, linens, etc. - Ability to have ceremony outside even in poor weather under the covered patio (this was a huge plus for my wife as she feared we'd have bad luck with weather) - Fairly reasonably priced as far as NOVA venues go if you're willing to do a Friday - POC Kim McNamara was fairly responsive and answered all of our questions There were only two negatives, but they were fairly sizable (enough to knock this review down from a 4 to a 2): - Several weeks before our wedding, my wife noticed on their Facebook page they were doing maintenance on the golf practice area. This is almost directly behind the ceremony site (the back patio). Essentially the entire area (which was about the size of 3 large putting greens) had been excavated. It was a giant dirt pit (it had previously been a lush green area like most golf courses). We called and were informed that the golf course was undergoing maintenance. Apparently no one thought to mention that this was going to be going on right behind where we would be standing when we were getting married (i.e. it was in our pictures and all of our guests were staring at it). They tried to work with us to find another area on the premises to have the ceremony, but we couldn't find one that was any better. The real frustration was that they didn't even seem to know what the deal was. It was clear that the golf and events departments were not communicating. It seems likely we wouldn't have even been informed before we showed up for our rehearsal if we hadn't noticed these pictures on Facebook. They did work with us to remove a few charges from the bill (i.e. ceremony fee), but honestly it still felt like we got taken advantage of. In the end, we didn't let it ruin our day; however it did leave a bad taste in our mouths and we didn't really appreciate the way it was handled (at one point they inferred that we were making a bigger deal out of it than it was because another couple had just gotten married there and apparently didn't have a problem with it). 2. We were told for months leading up to our wedding that there was no event planned at the club the following day (a Saturday) and that we could take our time getting all of the decore, etc. out the following day. Fast-forward to our actual wedding day. Shortly before our reception was about to end, we were informed by a manager (it wasn't their normal planner who we had worked with throughout the process) that there was now an event planned for the following day and we had to have all of our stuff out of there that same night. So instead of enjoying the rest of our reception / wedding night, we spent about an hour with a group of our close family and friends loading up cars and moving all of our stuff back to our hotel. We still enjoyed our wedding despite all of this, but these two major issues put a big dent in our happiness with the venue. I'm not going to say don't use them, but if an out-of-left-field last minute change like the ones I mention above would be a big deal to you, I'd be cautious. You might want to pay a bit more for a guarantee of no surprises.

The event planner changed during the time as well but everything still went smoothly. Rachael was super responsive and was there the whole day making sure everything went as planned. Not to mention the view is spectacular looking over the greens!

every one of my questions and accommodated every one of our requests, and we had a lot. But truly, from start to finish they helped ensure that our Nigerian-American wedding was everything we wanted it to be--beautiful, classy, intimate and a reflection of the two of us. She also acts as a day of coordinator so that you have someone guiding you through your timeline. Everything went super smooth on our wedding day and it was primarily due to the planning that Morgan and I did together to make sure everyone was prepared. The food is also fantastic - and having catering through them also made things a lot easier to plan. I'd highly recommend the Piedmont Club to all of my friends - it was a beautiful venue, great staff, and honestly a steal for the price!

There were a few minor things that occurred during the wedding but these are personal issues that I've addressed with the venue directly and those items should not discourage others from booking with this venue. I highly recommend this location to anyone to have their wedding here at Piedmont Club, the overall location is great, friendly staff, the site is well kept and updated, plus the photo opportunities are priceless.

n when it began to rain prior to my ceremony, she was on my side to put together whatever I wanted for my ceremony. We ended up moving the ceremony to the upper patio. I did not even know this was an option, but it all became together flawlessly. Furthermore, the food was delicious. The stations option was a little slow for our liking, but ended up working out in the end. I highly recommend The Piedmont Club to any bride and groom. The venue is amazing and the people who work there are even better!

me on board. Morgan and Kimberly bent over backwards for me and I don’t think what went wrong at Piedmont was their fault, they tried to make things work as much as possible. I had until 1pm to decide if I would stay out in the rain (I did) or go inside and Morgan did everything she could to accommodate my needs! She was so helpful and made me feel more relaxed. Morgan set up all of my decorations beautifully! We dropped them off and she put them up, I was so happy with how the venue was set up for us. Also, they make it convenient for us, the venue took down all the decor and we picked it up the next day. They were the BEST price in the area, food was so delicious, and they had lots of items/decor we could use! Negatives: maybe not enough staffing the night of the event - dirty dishes/low on food on the buffet and people had to wait; construction the day of the wedding with a weird temporary fence in the background of the ceremony, likely due to the new management and the rain, wedding party didn’t get appetizers (were supposed to have our own set up but that didn’t happen), The seating was confusing to guests (didn’t set up enough chairs due to the rain). Pros and Cons, but more Pros than cons.

The golf course views were great, and Kimberly escorted the photographers and us on the golf cart to get all the best pictures. They are very experienced and also recommended some of my other vendors. I would highly recommend this venue and this wedding planning team!

went above and beyond, especially with day of setup and details. The Piedmont staff did all of the setup and cleanup, so we did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. Overall, Piedmont helped make our wedding wonderful.

She made sure that everything was going to plan and that the guests were satisfied. After the wedding, we had a few items misplaced but Brittanne immediately followed up with me and helped me recover the items from the venue. I am so thankful to Brittanne, Kim and the rest of the staff for making this the best day of my life!

eption. It seemed like a large home to me, where we could have all our family and friends together, with our event being the only one that day (just note, you will see golfers). We were fortunate to have a hot but not humid day in July, so we had the ceremony outside. The wedding was at 5:30pm, and everyone was in the shade except for the groomsmen. They were in the sun the entire ceremony, unfortunately, and in navy tuxes! Just something to keep in mind – even in the shade it was very warm. You will walk out of the ballroom onto the raised patio, so everyone can see you – it’s very cool! It’s also a nice walk…part of it you are off to the side and going downstairs, but it’s not super short, which I enjoyed. The ballroom was perfect – we were able to fit 15 tables in, and it wasn’t cramped. My only compliant is that the ballroom was on the warm side. We asked multiple times if the air conditioning could be turned up, but it never seemed to get cooler. Also, we had 115 people, all of who fit very comfortably outside and inside. I think a larger wedding – 140 and higher, might feel cramped. The staff were excellent – in particular Brittanne. She answered every question I sent her quickly and fully. We had some special requests on chairs, champagne/cider, and dietary restrictions, and they accommodated each one. It really made the wedding planning experience so much easier for me. Brittanne alone is worth booking here – it’s like I had my own wedding planner! During the reception Brittanne came up multiple times to see how we were doing, and any time we asked for something, we got it within minutes (except the cooler air!). We loved our day at the Piedmont Club, and we are so glad we chose this venue. Our guests kept commenting on how lovely the place was, and how great the food was. I just realized I forgot to talk about the food – it was excellent! Every guest we talked to commented on the food. The venue is well worth the price, and if you want something special done, just ask and they will probably be able to do it! We didn’t have any thing at ours that wasn’t on the list of services they provide, but we did the sparkler exit. It was AWESOME! They get the really big ones, and when you walk out, it is such an incredible feeling. I highly recommend the Piedmont Club, and the sparkler exit!!

e professional, accommodating, able to answer all your questions in a timely manner and made my husband and I feel like there was nothing to worry about. When we booked the venue with Kimberly in May of 2016, we fell in love with the views, the rooms and just the general feel of the venue. It's beautiful inside and out! We also loved that the catering was in house and that we would be the only wedding there the entire day. As we got closer to the special day, Brittanne made me feel like even if I forgot something, it would be okay and not to worry. I trusted her 100% with the set up and when I walked upstairs before the ceremony, I was blown away with how everything looked! It was absolutely beautiful! She did a fantastic job and even was able to accommodate us with an on-the-spot idea about giving cake to our immediate family (We had served donuts at our wedding)! Also, Eric who helped with the food was amazing and just very sweet and made me feel very special on our wedding day! :) In the end, ever part of my wedding day was perfect and a lot of that had to do with the coordinators, the staff and everyone else involved within the venue. I have has so many compliments about the food and just how wonderful the day was! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The catering prices at first glance may look a bit higher than comparable caterers, but so much is included in that price: linens, place settings, Chiavari chairs, votives, fire pits and heaters, service--all things that you'd have to pay for separately when booking a venue AND a caterer. And the space is beautiful. It is so lovely that on our first visit, my sister immediately assumed it was beyond our budget. But one of the things that really sets PC apart is the inclusion of the wedding coordinator. Kimberly and Morgan did such an amazing job that they alone are worth the cost. While they were helpful and responsive during the planning process, they became invaluable on the day of. I had a million decorations and small details and still they handled all the set up and did so beautifully. I cannot overstate how nice it was to be able to enjoy getting ready and hanging out in the bridal suite with my friends and family instead of worrying about getting everything set up. We really did have the best day ever. There were a few little hiccups but that's going to happen with any large event and the guests had no idea so it didn't matter. Plus, Kimberly and the staff worked with us to remedy anything they could. All the important things were flawless--including the food. Guests are still talking about the hors d'oeuvres! My one piece of advice is to ask if there's anything you want. There are a lot of other services they provide that aren't listed in the initial wedding packet. They can do different catering menus, late night snacks, champagne greetings, fry stations--all kinds of things that aren't listed in the packet. So if there is something you want, ask! We had the best experience and I can't thank them enough!

ig hit at our wedding! Kimberly & Morgan are very professional and wonderful to work with! They truly went above and beyond in everything from the planning process with their quick responses to helping us tremendously on the day of with setting up decor, coordinating with our vendors and making sure the ceremony went off without a hitch. My one piece of advice when booking them is if you want a special element that isn't a part of the standard packages just ask! Also, even if you are not an avid golfer the Piedmont Club should still be on the top of your list of venues to check out, even my non-golfer husband fell in love with the venue. The Piedmont staff are very accommodating and did more than expected :) Thank you Kimberly and Morgan!! I highly highly recommend this venue, 10 stars!

to inform you that finding a vendor in Northern Virginia that is beautiful, affordable, and doesn’t make you compromise on anything is impossible. We visited 10 (or maybe more but lost count) different venues over the course of 3 months and luckily stumbled across The Piedmont Club. Do yourself a favor and visit this place for yourself! To be honest, we were not looking for a country club-style wedding; but after the fact, we hardly realized that we were wed on a golf course. Katie, the events director, is responsive and dealt with my bride-to-be drama easily. Her relationship with the preferred vendors is excellent. Most of your wedding vendors should be picked from that list. It was so reassuring to call Katie the week before our wedding to schedule time for her to meet with our florist; only to hear, “Don’t worry about it we’ve already talked." Our rehearsal, ceremony, and wedding were perfect. I could not imagine our special day happening at another location. Oh and before I get to ahead of myself, the food was amazing! We are still getting compliments on it from our wedding guests! The only thing that went wrong was the AC broke the day of our event. I know, I know. That’s a pretty big deal for a mid-July wedding. Nevertheless, the Piedmont team did their best to make the situation comfortable for our guests and compensated us for the difficulty after the fact without any hassle on our part. You really cannot go wrong with The Piedmont Club. The staff is great, especially Katie & Charlotte. They were so attentive to us and our needs all day long and really made sure that we were enjoying ourselves. It was the best day, largely due to The Piedmont Club and their team!

ore smooth and fun! First of all she never took more than 2 days to reply to our emails, and it is very important to hear back from your vendors when you are planning a wedding. A day before our wedding we learned that she was out sick, my first thought was: “What are we going to do?! Our wedding is ruined!” But no worries, she was there the next morning waiting for me and my bridesmaids to arrive. Looks like nothing will stop her from making sure your special day goes perfect as planned. We have had sever meetings before our wedding to go through things in detail, and dozens of emails. She was available to meet each time and answered all of our questions in detail, and was able to keep up with the 1,000 times I have changed my mind about things. No for the venue: it is really a great place to hold your wedding! It is very cute and private, even though they don’t close the club for the wedding, if you have your wedding in the evening, there are no golfers there by then and it feels like it was closed down just for you. Locker room was big enough for me and 6 girls to get ready and hang out, we spent the whole day there and had our hair and make-up done there. I had arranged lunch with Katie and she brought us sandwiches and water (which by the way were delicious!). There are few options for the ceremony, wonderful patio for outside ceremony as well as two backup plans in case of rain (which we luckily didn’t have to use). Reception room is very spacious and the staff will go with whatever table arrangement and plan you have in mind. As for food and service: food was absolutely amazing! It was easily the best wedding food, I have had and I have attended 3 other weddings in the past year! I have heard great responses from our guests saying how delicious everything was; even steak (which is hard to make right for a large amount of people) was great! It was definitely the best steak I have ever had at a wedding. Service was also on point; servers were very attentive and tended to our every need. Talking to some guests after the wedding, I have heard how great the service was. We only had 1 bar for 72 guests we had and at no point was there any lines, and our friends can drink! Bartenders were quick to serve drinks; in fact I also heard that the girl would make fun yummy drinks for our guests! Now, I kind of wish I had visited the bar at least once. Overall, I would highly recommend this venue to future brides, from the place itself to everyone that works there! I would also like to express my gratitude with this review to such an amazing team!

That's just an example of how well Piedmont works, they anticipate needs, and act on them before you realize there's a problem. I live in california and Katie was always responsive to my emails, as phone calls were difficult to coordinate. It was the perfect place to get married! Excellently priced for what you get!

t Piedmont, unfortunately on our wedding day we were disappointed. We had a total of 70 people and it seemed they were under staff. The private events director was doing too much and my bridal party went neglected and there was no one to direct my guests on where to go. They over promised and under delivered. The location is beautiful though, to be safe, have someone you trust or a day of coordinator and your day will go smoothly.
