At Piera’s Bridal Couture we believe every bride should have a dress shopping “experience” she will never forget and find a dress that is perfect for her big day! This is why we carefully hand select gowns from some of the industries top designers and have a staff of friendly, and knowledgeable bridal stylists that will work one-on-one with you to help you find the dress of your dreams! Piera’s Bridal Couture is a family owned and run boutique style bridal salon in Shelby Township, Michigan and we love helping brides “dress dreams” come true! Piera has been in the wedding dress business for over 30 years! She opened her first store in 1986, and after over 20 years and a very quick 1 year “retirement” she opened Piera’s Bridal Couture in the fall of 2009. Piera has always had a love for and passion for wedding gowns and brides. As a young girl in Sicily she remembers watching the brides in awe as they would come out of the church in her town, and she still feels the same excitement and love when she sees the brides in our store! Family is the most important thing in the world to PIera, and she is so happy to have many of her family members working in the store! She is joined by her granddaughters Piera and Gabriella, her daughter Nella, and her two daughter-in-laws Jill and Marina. We are even more lucky because each member of our staff feel like family as well! Each bride-to-be will work one-on-one with a bridal stylist to search for the perfect wedding gown! Each of our bridal stylists have helped hundreds of brides find their dream dress and are very knowledgeable of the dresses we have in store as well as all of the current bridal trends. They style each bride from head to toe with not only the perfect dress, but beautiful accessories that totally complete the look! And before you are ready to walk down the aisle you will have a few alteration appointment with our amazing seamstresses! They are all experienced in bridal alterations and will be sure your gown fits exactly the way it should. We love welcoming each and every bride into the PIera’s Bridal family!

they even stayed late to help me make a decision. Piera was so knowledgeable about all of the gowns and how we could customize it to make it exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments on my wedding dress, most people told me they got goosebumps when they saw my dress for the first time. My mom, and the mother of the groom also got their dresses here and received compliments all night! Piera’s had the perfect styles, accessories, and a 10/10 level of service. Working with the alterations department at Piera’s was an outstanding experience, as they were so thorough, took my feedback and ideas to heart, and made my dress compliment me beautifully. They put hours of time and effort into making final tweaks and showed my maid of honor how to fluff, bustle, and help me with my veil. They even added a clasp to my second look jumpsuit (not purchased through them) because it was broken and they didn’t want me to struggle with zipping on my wedding day. The entire team was involved in my bridal experience and went above and beyond to provide a great service. It was 1000% worth the investment as I trusted them completely. I couldn’t recommend this bridal salon more, as they are wonderful women with a ton of experience and a level of attention that you won’t get anywhere else.

I absolutely loved - not the case with other bridal salons I had visited prior. It is a smaller shop, but they have so many different and unique styles hard to find in other bridal boutiques! The intimate setting also helped me feel very comfortable trying on multiple gowns. The price was right (less than what we anticipated) and I was gifted a bottle of perfume with my purchase! The alterations were on the pricier side, BUT completely worth it. My alteration stylist listened to my every request and made my dress look like it was truly made just for me. I also loved that I got to chat with Piera herself while picking up my gown - she made me feel like a queen. Would HIGHLY recommend Piera's!

Piera’s Bridal made me feel like a princess from the day I stepped into their shop through alterations and the wedding day. Every person we interacted with was professional and helped give advice to complete my bridal look. Dhimitra was my fairy godmother and altered my ballgown with absolute perfection and attention to detail. On the day of the wedding, my dress fit like a glove and the bustle was stunning allowing me to dance and twirl. The staff at Piera’s made us feel like family. At the final fitting my mom even teared up when I took a picture with Piera and Dhimitra. THANK YOU for making the process truly enjoyable and giving me a memory I won’t forget. During a time that can be very stressful, I knew that Piera’s would come through for me and they went above and beyond. Piera’s provided my wedding gown, headpiece and veil. e’s a very specific lace pattern on the bottom of my dress. I go to pick it up and they just cut right through the lace, folded it and sewed it up. Not only that but I had to mention 3 TIMES for them to add lace to one of my straps because they were uneven and did not match, at my pickup appointment they finally fixed the straps right then and there but the seamstress tells me “well if you look at it the straps aren’t uneven.” The alterations department is just lazy.

at I wanted in a dress and pulled beautiful dresses that were all my taste. As I tried on dresses, she listened to what I did and did not like and offered helpful suggestions of what to try next. Piera’s is seemingly small but has a huge variety of designers and dresses so I felt like I could try on all the styles I wanted, and Kim respected my budget. At the end of appointment, I told Kim I had a couple other salons to visit over the next day, and rather than pushing a sale she encouraged me to go to those appointments and make sure I was confident in my dress. In the end, I knew I had found my dress at Piera’s, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday to try my dress back on and get my measurements. Tip if you go there: we were the first appointment on a weekday morning and had the salon to ourselves for almost the whole time. Since the salon is smaller that really helped me have a relaxing shopping experience, browse the dresses, and focus.

ess of postponing my wedding. Originally my dress was from another salon and even though it was altered it did not fit me properly. After all the stress, I did not want to get a new dress. I ignored how I felt because I didn’t want to spend money on another dress or admit that I made a mistake. A week before my wedding I tried on my original dress and started crying. After everything, I wanted to feel beautiful on my wedding day. I called Pierra’s on Saturday and explained that my wedding was Friday. They were beyond amazing with making an appointment available immediately. Nella helped me try on sample dresses since I didn’t have time to order a new one. This time I did not pick me dress based on the price. I picked a dress I felt beautiful in. The dress ended up being $500! Can you believe it!?! Nella was so upbeat and positive, but she was also realistic to my time constraint. It was such a wonderful experience and I found a dress! Before purchasing, she confirmed that I would be able to get it altered in 6 days for my wedding. I went in on Monday to get the dress altered by Dhimitria. She worked absolute magic! The next day (Tuesday) she called me to come in for my 2nd fitting! Chela was so sweet and helpful showing me all the details of my dress. Piera was all smiles and me feel welcome. They offered me another fitting, but the dress fit flawlessly and was ready for me to take home. Every person working there was polite, encouraging and supportive. I took my dress home that Tuesday for my wedding on Friday! Get your dress and alter it at Pierras! Trust me. They are genuine people. At my wedding, everyone raved about my dress and how it fit!

I started with trying on about 6 dresses. I liked them all but #2 I tried on I fell in love with! I tried it on again at the end of trying on all the dresses & cried! I knew this was my dress! I had my mom, maid of honor & future mother in law with me & they all loved the dress on me as well and agreed this was my dress. Lina answered any questions I had, never rushed me, and was just GREAT! I ended up saying YES to the dress and didn't need to go to my originally planned appointment else where . From the moment I walked into the door for my appointment I’ve never felt so unwelcome, the lady knew I had gone to another bridal place first, she was so condescending I couldn’t believe it was real, when I gave her my budget of $1000.00 (when calling they said their dresses start at $800 and up) and told her we could even go a little higher her response I’m sorry that’s all you wanna spend?! So do you know what your looking for you must if you’ve gone somewhere else, I gave her a few ideas but also let her know I’m open to other styles. Every dress I chose she made a weird or negative comment about and on top of it there is ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM TO WALK in that place, no privacy, when you try on your dress you have to walk to the front of the store in front of everyone else and wait for your turn to get up to the mirror and there is no help or customer service with the dress when you get up there. It felt like a factory, I did not have one decent person I could say I came across the entire 30+ min I was in that shop because that’s the amount of time i could tolerate before I finally said I’m sorry I’m gunna go talk to my family before I try on another one because they couldn’t come back with me. The lady also made a comment about my sister having a mouth on her because she seen me in a dress she knew I didn’t like on and said out loud I don’t love this one on you and as soon as we got back to our room is when she said that. As soon as I left I immediately called the first place I went (same price range as pieras) and bought the dress I knew I would love and thanked the other place for being amazing and let them know their customer service is perfect. I had also made a stop at a discount bridal store in between (didn’t find anything for me) but I can even say they had better service than this “high end” bridal shop. I would HIGHLY suggest spending your hard earned money in a place that really appreciates you as a customer because you will NOT find it here.

y being a bridal consultant, it was hard to find dresses that I hadn't "seen before" or "were more special." However, Piera's had SOOO many. I ended up falling in love with my dress...and two veils, all from there. The service and friendliness of the staff was fantastic. I also had my dress altered there and Piera herself made sure every little bit was perfect. The seamstresses were wonderful and made my dress fit perfectly and added all the little things I asked for as well as impeccably sewing all of the lace. I would recommend them 100000 times again! r me to try on. The first dress I tried on was THE dress! Lena was a dream to work with, she is so sweet and makes you feel so beautiful. Piera's let me bring my bridesmaids and mom with me and even let them bring in a bottle of champagne to cheers with when I said Yes to The Dress. They have a flower wall and sign that you can take pictures in front of which made the day even better. Piera's also matched me with the perfect veil for my dress. They had no problem with me coming in as many times as I needed to look at the sample dress and even try it on again so my Grandma could see it. I also got my dress altered at their alteration shop. The seamstress I worked with was absolutely wonderful! The chiffon of my dress was hard to work with but the seamstress made as many adjustments as needed until it was just right. All the staff is very friendly and polite and are very excited to help you find THE dress. I had a wonderful experience at Piera's and would recommend it to all Brides to be!

Getting the dress altered was another nerve-racking moment. My dress was purchased off-the-rack, a sample from in the store, so it was several sizes too big. Three appointments later, the dress fit like a glove! The ladies who work in alterations are amazing. Then, four weeks before my wedding, I realized I had forgotten to purchase a veil! Again, the staff at Piera's were so helpful and found a beautiful veil to match my dress perfectly. I had just picked up my dress from their alteration shop, so it was in my car when I stopped by to find a veil. The employee who assisted me even carried veils out to my car to match to my dress, so that I didn't have to drag my dress in. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend Piera's to anyone!

ll of us at a “Bridal Couture” shop. Sadly, my dreams of bridal bliss and grandeur were crushed. First of all, while the color swatch selection seemed extensive, there was only one overstuffed rack of bridesmaids dresses from which to choose. How could my bridesmaids choose a one of a kind with such a limited selection? Second, while looking for some possibilities, we had to take these gowns off the rack and hold them ourselves while shoving back the ones we didn’t want because they were so tightly packed. I’m not sure why no one was there to assist us in this browsing. Third, the dressing room was like that of a traditional department store, ruining any other hopes of a unique experience. We couldn’t even all sit in the room with the bridesmaids while they tried on the samples. Actually, I believe that we would have received more personalized attention at a department store. No one asked us if they could help us find anything additionally, or what we loved or disliked about the particular designs; we were on our own as if we were shopping for a homecoming dress in high school. While we had an appointment for what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime fitting, I never felt as if there was an attendant assigned to us. No one even asked us what our name was-I had to initiate that process. I’m going to find a place that will treat me and my bridesmaids with respect and courtesy.

ensure you are happy with your experience. The bridal salon is a little on the smaller side and can be quite busy at peak times. Because of this, I felt a little overwhelmed when trying on bridal gowns because there was a lot of other brides with large groups around the large mirror area. If you are looking for a more intimate or private setting when trying on dresses, I'm sure the staff would be more than happy to suggest the best times to come in. In regards to alterations, Dhimitra is a miracle worker and so unbelievably talented and sweet! I had approximately 4 alteration appointments total. Dhimitra and Piera went above and beyond to ensure the dress looked perfect for the big day. She listened to my concerns and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable in my dress. Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience at Piera's and wouldn't change a thing!

In the end, it was an absolutely gorgeous Alessandra Rinaudo ball gown. Piera and her staff were simply amazing and so sweet, just as I remembered. We went during a trunk show so they were pretty busy. Nella still wanted me to get the full experience of getting on the "stage" which was really nice. She added a belt and veil to the dreas I loved which made me fall in love even more. We lucked out as it was a sale dress so we got an amazing deal. The dressing rooms were large and nice. The only downfall of the shop itself was that I'm normally around a street size 8 and the dresses could barely zip up and get over my hips, so that was a little discouraging. However nothing fazed Nella and I had a great experience and said Yes to the Dress!

ime or attention. I had made an appointment there and brought two of my friends. There were 5 other brides there all trying to share the same mirror which did not make anyone feel special. She did not get a place for either of my friends to sit so they had to stand to the side next to the crowd of people the entire time. This was the only boutique I have been in where I not only didn't feel important but she made me feel like I wasn't even a bride and that I wasn't special nor worthy of her time. I would never recommend this store to anyone.

They were able to sell me the dress off the rack and within that week, I had 2 fittings with their amazing alterations department and the dress was ready. chairs so she can get one when someone got up. Mind you, I had an appointment and there was literally no room for us. My other guests that I had with me had to stand off to the side, they stuck me in a back unfinished room without a door and had me try on my dresses there. I didn't feel like they were listening to what I desired in a dress. She kept bringing everything I didn't want. There was even a point in the appointment when another assistant grabbed dresses from my hanger for her client so I stood undressed in the back hall until they finished with it. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was honestly a terrible experience.
