We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Pierce House! The property has such an understated classic New England elegance to it. It’s beautiful without feeling overly formal, and the grounds are so lovely.
One of our favorite things about the venue was how naturally the entire day flowed. From getting ready in the house, to the ceremony by the pond, to cocktail hour on the porch and the reception under the tent, every part of the day felt distinct but still connected. It made the whole wedding feel relaxed, seamless, and very us.
And we cannot say enough good things about Jenn! From the first time we toured through the wedding day itself, she was incredibly helpful, warm, and easy to work with. She always made us feel like the Pierce House was our own home, and by the time the wedding came around, she truly felt like part of the family. Having her there that day was such a comfort.
Our wedding weekend was everything we hoped it would be, and the Pierce House was such a huge part of what made it feel so special. We could not have imagined getting married anywhere else!

Pierce House is a charming historic wedding venue located in Lincoln, MA. Here, couples can wed on 30 acres of pastoral beauty surrounded by their family and friends. Enjoy rolling hills, luscious lawns, and an old-world ambiance for your special day.
This picturesque mansion was built in 1900 and is located within the Historic District of Lincoln. John. H. Pierce bequeathed the property to the town of Lincoln, requesting that it be made available to the public for year-round celebrations. This idyllic estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition to beautiful wedding events, this venue has also hosted art exhibitions, summer concerts, and film screenings. Also found in the township of Lincoln is the Walden Pond Reservation, DeCordova Museum, and Minute Man National Park. This venue is situated less than a 30-minute drive from Boston.
Pierce House oozes refined elegance and an air of a by-gone era. Here, you and your guests will feel like you have stepped back in time. The stately architecture of this property is perfectly suited to hosting grand wedding occasions. The grounds of the estate hold many natural treasures to enjoy, such as woodlands, ponds, local wildlife, and much more.
Both the entirety of the house, the large wrap-around porch, and the grounds can be utilized for your wedding festivities. The surrounding natural landscape provides many scenic spots to host your heartfelt wedding ceremony. Say ‘I do’ under the shade of an ancient weeping willow, or declare your love in front of a shimmering pond. You guests can enjoy a relaxing cocktail hour on the terrace while you and your beloved take advantage of the numerous photography spots on the property. For your grand reception, you have the choice of the mansion interior, or during summer months, a white wedding tent. The house itself encompasses four spacious event rooms that can seat up to 75 guests combined. The wedding tent offers accommodation for up to 200 guests for an evening of dining and dancing. The tent can be strung with cafe lights and designed in the layout of your choice to create your chosen aesthetic. The second floor of the house offers two private dressing rooms which can be utilized by the wedding party for convenient day-of preparations. The kitchen includes a six-burner stove, convection oven, and double fridge, allowing for on-site catering.

made it feel like OUR wedding. Jenn was a delight to work with from start to finish and helped us make sure all the other vendors knew what was what and where to go. It is a lovely place with character and really makes you feel like it's your home for the day.
We had an offsite ceremony but when we arrived the cocktail hour was great, people flowing in and out of the house. We took pictures on the lawn and the grounds have plenty of space for people to spread out, mixing and mingling indoors and out. After dinner the dancefloor under the tent was packed. The tent being already there with some lighting included is really a great value that makes this also one of the more affordable venues in the Greater Boston area. But really Jenn is the star and having someone so awesome to work with made this venue an 11/10.

We were particularly impressed by two things: First, Jenn spearheaded major property improvements, including beautiful landscaping updates, upgrades to the Pierce House kitchen (minimizing our caterer’s equipment needs), and polished repairs to the interior, which made the venue truly shine. Second, she partnered closely with our wedding planner, Allie from CityLux, solving challenges with impressive flexibility. Jenn quickly became a trusted confidant and friend to Allie, something that meant a lot to us.
On the day of our wedding, Jenn’s joy and excitement were evident. It was clear she was fully engaged in the festivities, something we imagine could be rare given how many weddings she manages. When some last-minute challenges came up with our caterer, Jenn worked seamlessly with Allie to handle everything, keeping us blissfully unaware and focused on our celebration. Jenn was truly a dream to work with, and we hope the Town of Lincoln recognizes what a gem they have in her. Because of her, and because of the natural beauty and classic charm of the space, we couldn’t recommend the Pierce House more highly.

I knew this was the place was beautiful, unique and special.
What really sold me was the venue's amazing coordinator, Victoria! She was so incredible through the whole journey, always responsive and never made any question I had feel silly. It was like having another friend in the wedding process. She was always upfront and honest when giving you advice and I never doubted she was always doing what was best for us as a couple.
I can't recommend Pierce House, or the added benefit of having Victoria be your right hand woman there with you, more!

From the gorgeous ceremony in the garden, to the cozy fireplaces, all the way to dancing in the stunning reception tent (shoutout to Gino at Come Rain Or Shine Tent Works), Pierce House delivered on every level. The Pierce House is gorgeous, inside and out, spacious, and well kept. It did not need many decorations as it is already beautiful inside, which was a huge perk for us! Keep in mind the tent is rented separated through Come Rain or Shine (who can also provide tables and chairs), but it was a very easy process.
Victoria is amazing- she is so knowledgeable, accessible and reliable, and just the sweetest person. She also acted as our day-of wedding coordinator making sure everything was going smoothly. She was instrumental in making our day as amazing as it was. Cannot recommend PH enough!

verything we wanted, but Victoria is what sold us. She is so communicative and helpful and warm, and was there for us throughout the entire year leading up to the wedding (and after!) She goes out of her way to be helpful and does so much more than is required. She feels like family now!
The Pierce House is just so stunning. Our wedding felt like a fairy tale and so many people told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. You can really customize your wedding here, and it's so affordable.

ing for our 10/1/2022 wedding. The Pierce House is a beautifully maintained, historic mansion that has gorgeous grounds, working fireplaces, an intimate bridal suite, and of course, Victoria Otis!! Victoria is the director of the Pierce House and has the biggest heart for each of the couples she works with. I promise, she feels like a true friend and just has this “I got it” effect that has put my mind at ease through the many hiccups of wedding planning. Victoria provided us with the majority of our vendors as well, who were all STANDOUTS. We highly recommend booking your event with The Pierce House. We had the best night of our lives there and it will always be so special to us!

verything. Victoria is so laid-back but also so hard-working and focused, she will make you feel at ease and make sure everything goes as planned. We've had our eye on the Pierce House for our wedding venue for years, from the aesthetic of the property to the historic, cool nature of the house, we only ended up looking here. We had a feeling we wanted to get married here, but once we met Victoria, we were sold. Victoria is part of the Pierce House experience, my friends and family instantly loved her as much as we did, had us cracking up constantly and at the end of the night, my mom was saying "I'm just going to miss Victoria so much." Both my husband and I aren't the biggest party planners and were feeling stressed leading up to our wedding, but every time we spoke with Victoria, we instantly felt excited and calm at the same time. Victoria was extremely helpful and very relaxed in helping us plan our wedding, and was always available to answer questions or meet up to show us around. We had to reschedule more than once, but Victoria was always understanding and up to date with the latest coronavirus guidelines. The weekend of our wedding ended up being about 20 degrees colder than typical for that time of year, but the hybrid indoor/outdoor nature of the venue made for a perfect setting. We were even able to host a welcome event the night before, which gave us another chance to see our friends and family. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue, and we were so happy to have been able to have a safe and special wedding day.

destined to get married. Besides the fact the the place is breathtakingly beautiful, the Pierce House offered everything my husband and I were looking for. We were able to use the grounds to have our wedding ceremony, use the gorgeous porch and house for a cocktail hour, and have the tent (with stunning lights) for our reception. The space was more then spacious enough for our 150 guests. In addition, we were able to hire the vendors that we wanted including the option of supplying our own alochol. One of my most favorite parts of having our wedding at the Pierce House was being able to use the upstairs bridal sweet space for my bridemaids and I to get ready. We had our makeup and hair stylists come to the Pierce House and we could all relax and get ready on-site! The Pierce House, along with Managers Nancy and Laura, truely made our wedding a dream come true. We are so pleased with the Pierce House and 100% recommened this venue to others!

imental. We put up family pictures all over the house. We looked at a lot of venues before selecting the Pierce House. The other venues that were even close to the beauty of the Pierce House all had in house caterers or 2 that you could choose from and were incredibly overpriced. The Pierce House lets you customize your event. The only tricky part for us was picking a caterer who met the insurance requirements for the Pierce House, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we ended up with a caterer from their recommended list who saved our wedding (rental disaster) on more than one occasion. ts. the Pierce House far exceeded our expectations. Nancy, the house manager, is lovely to work with. She helped coordinate vendors and deliveries, and was so helpful day-of moving the ceremony into the tent and the buffet into the house to accommodate the rainy weather. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable. We were able to hang family photos throughout. The dressing rooms were light filled and made for good pictures! There were so many spaces where people ended up sitting and talking late into the night. The tent is also beautiful with the fairy lights, and we had no trouble fitting all our guests inside with room to spare. Importantly for us, we were able to use the vendors we wanted, and brought our own alcohol. I highly recommend the Pierce House for any wedding!

found it with this rustic historical home. We loved the tree outside where we got married, the pond where we took photos and the garden where we gathered our families for more photos. Everyone complimented the ceiling of twinkle lights in the tent and the set up of the whole facility. The staff was accommodating in scheduling walk throughs with our vendors and our parents to show people around the space beforehand. If you want it to feel like you’re inviting all your friends and family over to your house for your celebration, this is the place to do it!

ompletely accessible to guests. I loved getting ready in the (air conditioned) room upstairs. Countless guests commented on the beauty of the gardens, the tent, and the home itself.
You do have to bring in everything (chairs, tables, etc), but with the super reasonable price of the location itself, working with individual vendors was worth the effort. If you're willing to orchestrate a number of players, the Pierce House is an unbelievable stage for a beautiful day.

The Pierce House is a very "DIY" venue, but that's what my fiance and I were looking for. I felt like they were very upfront from the beginning about what they would and would not provide - they made it clear that they would basically provide the space and we would provide everything else. This was perfect for us since we wanted freedom in choosing our vendors and didn't want a pre-packaged hotel deal. The only vendor you have to use is their tent rental company (Come Rain or Shine) for the outdoor tent and dance floor, but I found them to be very easy to work with.
Nancy, the manager at Pierce House, was very responsive and helpful - we even showed up unannounced one weekend months before our wedding to show the venue to my parents, and Nancy welcomed us and gave us a full tour. Her assistant, Laura, also stepped in to help during the final walkthrough with our caterer. You will need to hire a separate wedding coordinator, but it's nice to have Nancy on hand to answer venue-related questions.
Overall, we were very pleased with Pierce House, and our guests were definitely wowed by the house and gardens. It's a great spot!

- with an option to personalize rooms with photos and items from home. We had the perfect day, and Nancy was so helpful and organized in making it all happen. The price is right, too - especially if you get the Lincoln resident discount! Highly, highly recommend. It was the best day of our lives, in the most beautiful setting!!!

d the ability to hire your own vendors. Nancy, the Pierce House manager, is great. She was very responsive from day one and willing to help you make it the wedding you want. She had a list of caterers, florists, nearby hotels, etc. for our advice, but we were not restricted to those folks. It is a great spot for a do-it-your own wedding, as well as a wedding planner wedding. Highly recommended.

own guests or city dwellers, and reasonably priced! The tent is onsite all season (for an extra fee) and it was beautiful with the lights strung inside. It was rainy and a little chilly on our wedding day over Labor Day weekend and Nancy even light a fire inside! it was a nice touch we and our guests appreciated. Highly recommend this venue!

and reasonably priced. Plus, Richard the house manager was super easy to work with and incredibly responsive . We had a Saturday wedding in September with 125 people. We had our ceremony outside by the pond, cocktail hour in the house and on the wrap-around porch with lawn games in the grass, and reception under the tent. It was incredible. We loved the venue and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a romantic, historic site in the Boston-area!

ou can decorate the house as little or as much as you'd like. (Bonus: There are working fireplaces, and candles are allowed to be lit indoors.) What I liked about the Pierce House is that I could select my own vendors and not have to pick from a handful of standard packages. Richard, the manager, is organized and responsive, and was open to our non-traditional ideas. (He even dressed in costume, per our suggestion!) Another thing I liked about the Pierce House is that there is a beautiful bridal suite that we were able to use for the day to get ready. Overall, our experience was wonderful!
If you are someone who is looking to have every aspect of a wedding planned for you, I wouldn't recommend the Pierce House only because it is not solely a wedding venue, and you will need to take care of a lot of the planning (including working independently with the tent rental company and the like). But if you are someone who is relatively organized and has a good vision for what you want, definitely do yourself a favor and give the Pierce House a look!

Personal belongings went missing after my wedding. I spent weeks trying to track down where these things could have gone, following up with everyone who could have known, but to no...
avail. After thoroughly checking with everyone else I could think of, I wrote a short, civil email to the vendor asking to discuss the problem, hoping to go over all possibilities. I never wrote nor implied that anything was stolen. This is the email I received in response (below). I found out the next day that this email was blind copied to one of my other vendors. I only found out because they called me.
WOW! THESE ARE SOME VERY SERIOUS CHARGES, WHICH I TOTALLY AND CATEGORICALLY REJECT AS TOTALLY FALSE, UNTRUE, UNWARRANTED, INSULTING,ACCUSATORY, AND NOT BASED ON ANY SENSE OF REALITY!!!!!!!!
NOTHING OF YOURS IS HERE, OR WAS HERE AFTER THE WEDDING;EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN AS FAR AS I KNOW, BY YOUR BRIDESMAIDS, AS NEITHER YOU NOR YOUR MOTHER TOOK ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR GATHERING YOUR POSSESSIONS AT THE END. NOTHING WAS THROWN AWAY EXCEPT FOR 7 GARBAGE BAGS FULL OF EMPTY BOXES THAT YOU LEFT BEHIND IN A BIG MESS WITHOUT ONCE UTTERING A WORD ABOUT WANTING THEM. YOU DID NOT INITIATE ANY DISCUSSION ABOUT COMING BACK FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN THE FLOWERS LEFT FOR YOU ON THE PORCH, BY THE CATERER.

se has a lot of history. I was allowed to use my own caterers, rent a horse and carriage, and set up everything to my liking.
There were only two issues. One is that they have a deal with Come Rain or Shine Tent company, the most shady company I can think of. So we were not able to rent our own tent to our own liking. The other is that though Richard is really nice and laid back, he seemed to get my wedding mixed up with other weddings at the venue at times. Also, on the day of, when I thought he was going to be the day of coordinator, he was too tired from cleaning up from the night before, so I had to pay my decorator extra for also taking on the role of day of coordinator. That is why I give the venue 4 instead of 5 stars.

s also responsive, which other vendors I contacted were not. The grounds of the house were beautiful - gardens and a pond. We had our ceremony on site, by the gardens. The wedding was quite small and our dinner was held within the house - but we could have used a tent for larger groups. Our guests, half from New England and half from the Midwest, loved the house and grounds. It was the perfect setting for our wedding and reception.
