As a planner with over 12 years of experience and working at many venues we can truly say it was a pleasure to continue to work at Pierre's. Dawn was always available to answer any questions. Dawn and the entire team was organized, professional and offer a high level of service. They pay attention to the details and go above and beyond to deliver an incredible event.
Buyer beware: if you choose to book here - Get everything in writing. This was a nightmare of an experience. I had 3 different “wedding coordinators” with less than a year of having booked this place. They never told me every single time when someone stopped working here, and even if I had statements in writing that they would fulfill certain things, the Resturaunt manager dishonored the contract and defiantly told me there’s nothing he can do (even though it’s in writing). They were not prepared, spelled my name wrong, would ask me questions over and over that they already had the answers to, and we’re really rude. My wedding food was good and my guests enjoyed being at the beach but I felt uncomfortable with the way they handled me and my family. It was really sad. You’d think they would focus on the “guest experience”... especially on your wedding day. They fought me tooth and nail on so many tiny details... and it was so sad. This was unfortunately a disorganized and disappointing experience. I really wanted to love this place. There are a ton of other nice venues around that seem to do a great job. I don’t know how they keep up with competition while treating people the way they do.
Awful discriminatory experience. I planned my wedding at the moorings village on the beach in front of the property I rented (plantation house). After all contracts were signed for my wedding ceremony and Property, Morada Bay wedding planner Diane Richey stops responding to emails after many trails of correspondence with planning details. After being ignored for days I decide to call and to my surprise my wedding and my reservation for the house at the moorings was canceled. When I pleaded with Diane for a reason she said her and Debbie the GM couldn’t disclose the details as to why they decided to cancel my WEDDING. The moorings had already received full payment for my wedding. I had to reach out to Diane to hear this heartbreaking news. This is a personal decision from the moorings/Morada Bay and DISCRIMINATION. This was a destination wedding and I had already booked local hotel rooms for my guests and transportation to the venue along with all other costs that are incurred during planning. No bride should have to go through this. Diane was cold, unapologetic and just plain UNPROFESSIONAL when telling me my wedding was canceled. I was left hurt, distraught, and in shock of how an establishment can treat a customer this way. And they gave NO REASON!! Leading me to believe this was based on personal feelings and is discriminatory treatment towards my wedding. It’s 2018 and myself and my partner feel that the moorings/Morada Bay factored in elements that should not matter. Myself and my partner have been given no reason to the cancellation and we know it’s discrimination. All people matter and all weddings matter not just the typical couples they at the Morada/Moorings are use to seeing. Please beware if you do not fit their standard they will take ALL your money and leave you high and dry. I am 30 days from my Wedding Date with NO VENUE….NO REASON…. This is not fair.. #ALLMONEYMATTERS
My husband and I got married at Pierre's on April 7, 2018. We are from New York and wanted an elegant wedding with a key west twist. Pierre's is absolutely magnificent - from the food, service, and incredible views, everything was magical! We had dinner inside in the beautiful Moroccan inspired dining room with dancing under the stars. The day as truly a dream come true, I could not imagine a more perfect venue.
My now husband and I got married at Pierre's and could not have been happier. Everything from the setting, the staff, the food, decor and Diane - the Event Director, were above-and-beyond our expectations. Diane was helpful from start-to-finish. Lovely in every way and a complete joy to work with. She made my job easy (and fun!) I would not hesitate to recommend this venue - you will not be disappointed!!
We had our ceremony and reception at Pierre's at Morada Bay this past weekend 1/21/15. Everything was absolutely perfect (aside from the coldest weekend in recorded history.. but actually pulled it together for the ceremony). The beach (bayside) is pristine with white semi-soft sand and the bay is an incredible sight, especially during sunset. Upon arrival, our ceremony chairs and any necessary tables were set up exactly as discussed. Any decorations we had dropped off the day before were also displayed. Everything was timed exactly as it needed to be and our event coordinator, Kristina, was there every step of the way.
Cocktail hour in the Pierre's bar/lounge downstairs was exactly what we were hoping for. There was plenty of comfortable seating, the bar tenders were friendly and our guests could wander outside to watch the sunset, if they wished. We had a few passed hors d'oeuvres: chicken satay (which everyone raved about), mozzarella and tomato, and shrimp cocktail (beautiful, large shrimp). The same space was available for music and dancing after dinner.
The upstairs restaurant has a beautiful Moorish feel. We used the private dining room for our party. The cheese selection waiting for us when we sat down was delicious, as were the soup/salad options. For soup, we had the lobster bisque, which is poured into your bowl table-side (entertaining for our guests!). Dinner selections included chicken, fish and filet. Most guests chose the filet, which came perfectly cooked per request. I'd like to add that the steaks were rather large, which was a pleasant surprise. Perhaps 10 oz? We received compliments on the stunning venue and the food (the food!) all night long.
We could not have asked for anything better for our ceremony and reception dinner. Pierre's allowed for an outside vendor to bring desserts for a dessert table and our event coordinator helped set it up while we were eating; wine and champagne had to be ordered from the restaurant. They also allowed an outside vendor to come in and decorate our tables. Pros included the venue itself (inside and out), the food and the staff (everyone from our coordinator to the bartenders to the servers). My only con is that we went through three event coordinators in the year between booking our wedding and having our wedding. However, in the end, everything was wonderful. We really could not be happier with our choice - worth every penny.. and it is a pretty penny!
Morada Bay was a beautiful location for our wedding! We had a perfect wedding right before sunset on the beach. The food was incredible - we got so many comments about how good it was. I highly recommend the coconut encrusted yellowtail snapper. The wait & bar staff were super friendly and very helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. The only reason I gave the value a 4 is because it is expensive, but it is also so beautiful. there are some restrictions you have to work with, but nothing that deterred us from having a great day! Oh and they make some great boat drinks!
This venue is absolutely stunning. We and our guests loved the setting, food and overall feel of the venue. Tina is incredible! She will ensure that you have your "perfect" day! I would recommend fully reviewing your final view to make sure that something wasn't accidentally keyed in wrong. If there was an error, they will fix it.
Organized our event for the restaurant yet advertised as your wedding planner who is included in price of venue. She did a great job putting together our menus and allowing for our choices and requests for the wedding. I would make sure to be very specific about your requests & make sure everything is in writting. Her vendor list was helpful however had problems w some coordination, esp with my cake which was not refridgerated once arrived and collapsed. Great for setting up the event, for more personal catering to on the day of perhaps a personal planner would be in order.
Our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful! All of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Very intimate perfect setting! We only had 35 people and it turned out so nice! We rented out the VIP room and it was plenty of privacy for our small group. Our wedding was March 11 and the weather was incredible! It is very stressful to do a destination wedding and Tina did an incredible job, and took my million phone calls ! We had a couple of mishaps ( my cake not showing up from a recommend vendor!) which Tina miraculous pulled her pastry chef in on his day off and had me a cake and I was not even notified until they had the issue taken care of! I just can not believe how wonderful of a job they did!! I highly recommend this venue!!!! Sneak peak of our photos http://www.haringphotography.com/blog/wedding-photography-work/m iami-wedding-photographer/.. Email me if you have more questions .. Best spot in the Keys to have a wedding absolutely stunning!
After seeing Pierre's for the first time, we were SURE this was the place for our wedding. There is something for everyone there...the food is spectacular and fresh, the view is gorgeous, and it is an incredibly elegant space. The wedding planner was included there, and the night of the wedding she was spot on and incredibly helpful in keeping things organized and moving along smoothly.
We did however find it to be quite annoying when we were charged for chairs after paying a large site fee. We thought- "Hmmm. Chairs aren't included?" At times, it just felt like they were pinching every cent from us.
It was a dream wedding, elegant yet casual chic.Surrounded by familly and friends with lots of love in the air.How could it not be in such a beautiful gingerbread house on the beach!
With such a BEAUTIFUL and IN LOVE couple!I recommand The Pierre's grandly.
Pierre's was a wonderful place for our wedding and reception. The food was amazing and working with Tina was great. We were able to negotiate on wine prices since they were a bit steep. All linens are provided which is nice and Tina acts as the wedding planning on the day of.
