We had our wedding ceremony at the Monument and it was absolutely beautiful. All of our guests loved the space and the views were unbeatable. The staff was wonderful and very accom...
modating. Know that you will need to bring in any furniture that you may need for the event (tables, chair, etc.), and their sound system is very limited. We had to scramble to bring in our own to ensure we had our own with wireless mics. Overall, we highly recommend the space for an event!
Having our wedding at the Pilgrim Monument was one of the best decisions we made. First of all -- it's gorgeous up there, truly feels like you're on top of the world with a gorgeou...
s view of the harbor, and the monument and grounds photograph INCREDIBLY. It was especially fun watching so many of our guests arrive via the funicular -- how many other venues give you that experience??
But more than that, everyone at the monument (especially Melanie!) couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and worked with our planner and vendors to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. It was such a magical day and the backdrop of the monument really made it that much better. Can't wait to go back and celebrate our anniversary there!
There is no better place in the Provincetown area for a wedding than the Pilgrim Monument! The views are spectacular, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and you get a little ...
bit of history! We knew immediately it was the place for us when we stepped up to the base of the Monument and saw the spectacular views of the town and wharf. Working with the staff was seamless and they were so helpful. Even with a transition in the point person for our event, they were communicative and amazing. Michelle is the best! A great place to visit and a great place to party!
We had our wedding at the Pilgrim Monument in late September, and it was outstanding (it didn’t hurt that the weather REALLY cooperated). Our 5:00 p.m ceremony was performed on th...
e base of the Monument itself, and then we rented both sides of the grounds, which allowed us to have a cocktail hour on one half, and the reception (including large tent) on the other. There was more than enough space. Guests used the restrooms attached to the museum, while the newlyweds and those with ambulatory issues had access to the small cottage.
We had visited the Monument several times before choosing it as a venue, but once we reserved it, the Monument staff (Tom Cullen) was very helpful. On the day of (and previous day, when we had our rehearsal) Dan was everywhere and attending to our every need. Note: it was great to be able to direct guests to park in the large parking lot overnight.
Aside from being spacious, the grounds are well-maintained and beautiful, regardless of the season (great for pictures). Obviously the Monument itself is picturesque, and we like the idea of spotting it on future Cape visits and being reminded of our wedding. We knew how beautiful it was from our trips up there, but we weren't prepared for how magical and stunning the sunset was. It was truly wonderful. For this venue, you have to bring in/plan everything yourself, but the monument staff made everything run smoothly. Thank you!!
