Pin It Up Bridal

I truly enjoyed working with Renee and the team from Pin It Up for our wedding day hair. We had a great trial run about a year before on site at the Belmar salon, and Renee was great from the outset, not only discussing my hair type and style options but also creating comfort on what to expect the day of. (I particularly loved her offer to “be the bad guy” and kick people out of the room – she puts her brides first!) We also noted that we’d need hair done for a variety of textures and people of various ages day of, and Renee said she could deliver and did, including working in a hair floral arrangement last-minute. 10/10 would recommend

Renee (hair) and Shannon (make-up) from Pin It Up Bridal nailed my wedding day look, making me feel like an enhanced version of myself. I felt confident and bridal. The other artists, Ashley B and Daisy were amazing as well. The team of 4 provided hair and make up to 11 women, including myself, making sure that everyone felt beautiful before they packed up. Everyone was kind, patient, and professional. They worked so efficiently that we were left with extra time to hang out, relax, and even play around before needing to get dressed! I did one trial with Shannon for my make-up, and two trials with Renee for my hair. On the first trial, we tried to do a simple bun with my very thick hair, but my hair did not comply after a couple hours. She gave me the option to try a different kind of bun, but we both agreed it might be safer to go with my second choice of half up/half down so that I could feel more confident on the long wedding day. Between the first trial and the wedding day, Shannon and I made some slight changes to my eye makeup. They both encouraged open-communication through instagram dms if I wanted to give feedback or send more inspiration images. The women work well together and I am so happy they were a part of my team.  When it comes to booking Pin It Up, I did get nervous because I would not be given a contract until I had my hair trial. Being the Type-A Bride that I was, I wanted the contract as soon as possible to feel secure and check “Hair/make-up” off my to-do list, which led me to doing the trial earlier than I would have probably wanted. In the end, it worked out wonderfully and I would recommend Pin It Up to any brides getting married in NJ.
