I don't typically wear a lot of makeup, and he did a great job of giving me a wedding look without going overboard, which I really appreciated. And finally, Dana (hair) was a goddess. I loved my hair trial so much that I asked her to do a ponytail updo for our rehearsal dinner in addition to my bridal updo for our wedding day. I received LOTS of compliments on both styles! In terms of logistics and professionalism, Branden and Dana both arrived early the morning of our wedding, and everyone was ready in time for pictures. Branden and Dana were also very accommodating day-of -- my mom decided she wanted to have her makeup done after seeing mine, and Branden didn't hesitate! Dana also squeezed in another updo for one of my bridesmaids who decided she did, after all, want to have her hair done :) I would highly recommend Pin Me Up to any bride - they convinced me 100% that they can make any hair and skin type look stunning!

I don't wear much makeup and am hopeless with my hair, and they both made me feel very confident for my wedding day. It's also worth mentioning that you spend a lot of time with your hair and makeup team on the morning of your wedding, so I feel lucky that Dana and Christine also happened to be very cool to hang out with. Would highly recommend Pin Me Up if you're getting married!

to improve it. May was super helpful with my makeup at the trial, as someone who doesn't wear much makeup daily, I didn't really know what I wanted. We both looked through pictures and I pointed out what I liked and she was able to run with that! They were both at the hotel we were getting ready at on time (even a little early I think) and knocked out everyone in my bridal party so quickly that we were ahead of schedule! And everyone's hair and makeup stood the test of time, I still felt beautiful at the end of the night with all the kisses, dancing, and sweating and thought everyone else did too! My husband's service felt like it left a little to be desired. We ordered the men's grooming service (neck trim, beard trim, man buns, hair styling) and hot towel shave (in salon or on-location shave with a straight razor and hot towel) for my husband. Derrick was late, thankfully it wasn't actually a problem for us, but it did make everything feel rushed. A hot towel wasn't used and my husband did have a few cuts from the straight razor shave.

Harley, hair, were absolute pros and translated requests from the wedding party for everything from "punk rock" to "slightly bohemian" to "space kitty" into truly stunning looks. They were a joy to work with and I've never felt more beautiful. Plus my hair and makeup were still fully intact after several hours of dancing! Miraculous!

t still waited until the scheduled time to come into our hotel room. I had a large wedding party (8 bridesmaids), myself, and my husband's mom, and the artists kept us all on schedule (we actually were ready a bit earlier than expected!). My day of coordinator had said that hair & makeup is one of the areas where a wedding day can get off schedule, but she felt confident knowing that we were working with Pin Me Up. I worked with Holly for hair and Mei for makeup, and I want to give each of them a special shoutout. After my trial, Holly gave me some great advice on how to get the full look that I wanted (only after I asked) by recommending a specific type of hair extensions and where to purchase them. I had never worn them before, but the day of my wedding I could barely tell that they were in my hair. Mei was also fantastic - I asked for some tweaks on the day of my wedding and she really listened & nailed the look. One of my bridesmaids said that this was the best her makeup had ever looked, even more than her own wedding day! And Mei also really helped my husband's mom who is going through chemotherapy to look and feel amazing. She was feeling really uncertain about how her makeup would look, but Mei took the extra time to make her feel comfortable and look her best. I am so grateful to her for that.

be a toss up and you will be very stressed waiting on communication. I signed my contract with them in January and they were very patient as I changed service requests due to my bridesmaids making decisions on what services they wanted. Pin Me Up sent everything over in a neat package via their portal. They specified that they would not book a trial until I had submitted a questionnaire filled with pictures for inspiration which I gladly did. They also specify in the contract not to reach out to them to schedule a trial as they will reach out to you - completely understandable given how many artists they manage and the deluge of weddings happening! However no one reached out for months and I started to worry. I reached out finally and got scheduled for two months before the wedding for a trial. The trial was a miss but that is why you have a trial! The artists were so nice but the hair had to be done twice, the first time was not the style I included in the portal. My hair fell out walking up the stairs to my apartment. Makeup was not blended even after asking for a touch up after the fact. I asked the artists to include two more people for service and they said they would note that. Then I submitted my photos and feedback to the portal and requested a retrial. I did not hear back from anyone for 7 days. I did get a text asking if I could speak on the phone after waiting. That was tough to coordinate too because when the time came for the call, I didn’t hear from anyone and we had to reschedule for the next day. They ran late to that call as well but life happens. At this point my retrial happened 4 weeks before my wedding. I was very nervous going to the retrial but the artists I booked with were amazing. They got the vision I was looking for right away and they did an amazing job on the day of, my bridesmaids loved their looks too. After the wedding I got a notification in the portal to pay for extra services. I was very frustrated at this because I had already asked the artists at the first trial to include two more services for the girls which they said they had noted, but I paid this and just want to forget the whole thing. So a word of caution: if you decide to use Pin Me Up, it will take you a long time to hear from the folks there because of how many projects they take on and the fact that there are so many weddings happening this year. You may want to work with a smaller organization that will communicate openly with you, even a message saying “We received your message and will get back to you soon” would have been thoughtful.

wedding day, I could not recommend them more highly. Dana and Alyssa were a top-notch team that were calm, funny, and patient with me and my bridal party. They're talented and made me feel my best on my wedding day.

y wedding. Each artist did a fantastic job of taking the inspiration photos I provided and making that look work for my hair and complexion. My makeup felt natural but beautiful, and my hair stayed up pretty well all night (just had to pin one curl back in, which isn’t bad for how thick my hair is). I would definitely recommend Pin Me Up!

I enjoyed the trial with both the hair and makeup artists but when it came to my actual wedding day, the makeup felt very different and much heavier than what was originally agreed upon. And being the bride, you are usually the last to have everything done, so there's not really a lot of time for any major adjustments. Additionally, while our hair stylist was very pleasant and kind, she wore a top that was so revealing it was difficult for my photographer to take getting-ready photos of us without her cleavage being the focus of the picture. It just felt completely unprofessional. I know that Pin Me Up is a well-known and popular company in Chicago (I chose them because a close friend had used them for her wedding) however I do wish I had spent more time researching other options. You may not feel like spending a considerable amount of your budget on hair and makeup is worth it, but once you get your wedding photos back you will be glad that you invested in services that made you happy.
