The Pin Me Up team was very responsive and accommodating with my requests to change the number of bridal party attendees who wanted their hair done a couple of different times. The trial experience was very helpful to get an idea of what I wanted and to make sure that the wedding day experience went smoothly with my hair. The results were beautiful for my hair and all of my bridesmaids and mother's hair as well. Kim was so patient and fun to work with and was very kind. I would definitely recommend working with Kim for your wedding day hair needs. Her updo's, curls, and hairstyles were great!

Pin Me Up was fantastic! Super professional, and they absolutely NAILED the soft glam look that me and all of my girls wanted. The process of booking is pretty simple, and they are fairly responsive if you want to make any sort of changes. Super happy we went with them!

I booked Pin Me Up for my wedding, on the recommendation of my friend who had booked them for hers. I was looking for a hair and makeup team who would make my girls and I look like our best selves, on our best day. Pin Me Up DELIVERED. The artists I worked with were so great at listening and asking questions about my look, so everything ended up just how I wanted it to be. Don't skip booking a trial - that was a great chance to meet the artists, and to try things and adjust my look. They were accommodating of a super early start for our brunch wedding. Coordination-wise, communications were sometimes delayed, and we did have one last minute change from PMU the night before the wedding. Luckily our wedding coordinator was able to incorporate that change smoothly while I was at the rehearsal dinner. I recommend Pin Me Up, especially if you have a good wedding coordinator. The communication piece would have stressed me out if I was coordinating everything myself, but I’m sure everything would have come together in time regardless. The hair and makeup services were truly excellent. Several of my girls said it was the best professional hair and/or makeup styling they had ever experienced.

I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can't. PMU had rave reviews, but my experience was lacking. I do not wear makeup or style my hair day-to-day, and wanted that reflected in my bridal look. I was apprehensive and scheduled a trial, but my makeup artist showed up at the wrong location day-of, so I had to forgo the trial. However, I was still charged for the trial. I will say, my makeup day-of was as I was hoping and my stylist listened well to me wanting minimal makeup, but I felt the hair/makeup on my more glam bridesmaids was underwhelming. We also didn't adhere to the schedule we provided, and I feel some of us got less attention as we were rushed.

I could not be more happy with our PMU services for our wedding. We had a rather large group of attendees and with the expertise of the hair and makeup artists, we were always ahead of schedule! Nicole worked with me throughout the whole process on meeting my hair needs. She helped provide professional recommendations on how to make my hair hold curl-and with her advice, it worked! She worked wonders! Liz also provided beautiful makeup services for myself and my attendees. She listened to everyone's unique makeup needs and is a pro with fake eyelashes! Rene also provided hair services for my attendees and he created some beautiful hair styles! All in all my hair and makeup artists were incredibly professional, easy to work with, and made getting ready incredibly calming.

I could not have had a better experience with Pin Me Up. Their communication was consistent and clear, and they matched me with the absolute best artists based on how I described my desired look for the day. That fact was clear following my trial and made me feel calm and confident heading into my wedding day. Both artists not only executed exactly what I wanted but also allowed me to look like an elevated version of myself - a fact that was really important to me. Both Mothers of the Bride and Groom were pleased as well.

I was very happy with the hair and makeup for me and my bridal party. I got a lot of compliments on both. I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because there is some delay in communication compared to other vendors. Also, my makeup was an hour later than I said I needed to be ready by. I wish they would have told me to start earlier in the day to make the rest of the day less stressful.

I was lucky enough to have Branden and Kim as my MUA and hair duo for not only my engagement shoot, but my wedding day as well. From the engagement shoot, to the trial, to the day of the wedding, Kim and Branden were communicative, supportive, and gave great feedback when prompted. My hair is famously terrible at holding curl and Kim chatted with me to come up with the perfect plan for my desired hairstyle. On my wedding day, she was awesome at nailing everyone's different hairstyle requests and styles. Branden not only made sure to discuss everyone's wants with the makeup in detail before getting started, but truly tailored each person's makeup to their comfort level. I was so impressed at his level of personalization while still making sure everyone's makeup would work great for photos. All in all, on my wedding day, my hair and makeup held for over 12 hours, through windy outdoor photos, to crazed hours of dancing. I felt absolutely stunning on my wedding day and I couldn't be more grateful to them. I will be going to them for all my hair and makeup needs in the future. The backend communication was very straight forward, quick, and clear. I loved working with Pin Me Up!

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Pin Me up (special shout out to Taylor and Michelle) for my wedding day! From the very first trial, I knew we were in great hands. Taylor's makeup artistry was incredible—she really listened to my vision and made it come to life, which eased all my pre-wedding nerves. We had so much fun during the trial, laughing and chatting, which made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable. On the big day, I felt absolutely stunning! The makeup artistry was incredible—everyone not only created a beautiful look but also ensured it lasted all day without a hitch. The hair styling was equally amazing; each bridesmaid, bridespeople and moms had a gorgeous look that perfectly complemented our outfits. Everyone felt fabulous and received so many compliments throughout the day! PMU created such a positive atmosphere, making the morning of the wedding feel like a celebration in itself. I can’t recommend them highly enough for any bride looking for talented professionals who are also a joy to be around! Thank you all for helping make my wedding day so special!

I had a great experience with my makeup and hair artists. They were on time and got everyone done with time to spare. My makeup stood up well to all of the tears and my hollywood waves stayed in all day even with outdoor pictures. Very communicative vendor!

I was very anxious about my make up for my wedding because I never wear make up. Branden was very kind, and listened to my concerns. I wasn't 100% happy after my first make up trial, so I booked a second. I looked lovely, but I was very uncomfortable with the amount of make up. Branden listened and offered suggestions. I was much happier after my second trial. The issue I had was trying to schedule my second trial. I emailed multiple times and contacted them on the portal where I had selected services, but I waited and waited for someone one to get back to me. Finally, I just text my make up artist to try to help me get the second trial scheduled. It seemed that perhaps they were super busy, but it was a bit stressful to have to wait for days and days and reach out multiple times. I did like that they didn't have a minimum. I only had two people getting hair and make up done, so it was great that they were happy to accommodate such a small group.

I asked for a very natural look and Kristine did an amazing job. I am an older bride, 56, and she made me look like me, but perfect!

My original hair stylist unfortunately had to back out so I went with Pin Me Up Chicago a few months before the wedding. They were great to work with and were able to squeeze in a trial quickly. Christy did such a great job with my wedding hair - I absolutely loved it!

Pin Me Up was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding! I worked with Mei Moy for makeup and Jacqueline Rosato for hair and I cannot sing their praises enough! I came to my trial not knowing exactly what I wanted I am so happy that Mei and Jacqueline were there to help. For makeup, Mei took the time to go through every photo I had saved to ask questions to really understand what it was about each picture that I liked while also explaining what each makeup look in the photos was to help me understand what I wanted. On the wedding day, Mei exceeded every expectation I had from my trial and I have never felt more beautiful. She also did my mom’s makeup who typically does not like to be “done up” and she was the happiest with her makeup she has ever been. My bridesmaids even said it was their favorite wedding makeup they’ve ever had! For hair, it was so important to me to have a classic hair style that I could dance in all night long. I like to have my hair back and I feel my best with a low bun and Jacqueline was able to elevate the simple look and ensuring it did not move all night long. I cannot recommend pin me up enough and highly suggest asking for this team!

Pin Me Up was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day! The booking process was super easy with them, including booking my hair and makeup trials, and it was nice to have a one stop shop for both hair and makeup. THey made me feel so beautiful--just wish I could always have them along as my glam squad!

I used Pin Me Up for my wedding as they were recommended by a friend and I would definitely recommend to other brides! Their prices are very affordable compared to some other companies out there and they did a great job! I ended up doing a slightly different hair style for the day of compared to my hair trial and it turned out perfectly! I also liked how detailed oriented my makeup artist was. She took great notes after my trial and really listened to my thoughts on what worked/didn't work. My makeup lasted all day and night even in very hot and humid weather! I had 10 girls getting hair and make up done and they gave me two people for each service. This made things run very smoothly and we even ended ahead of schedule!

Pin Me Up made me feel sooooo pretty on my wedding day! I booked them way in advance because they were highly recommended by a friend. The online portal was easy to navigate and I was able to reach out to Jessica whenever I had a question or change. I had ten girls getting hair and makeup done the morning of, so I was super worried about timing! Pin Me Up brought plenty of stylists and makeup artists in order to ensure we stayed on track. All of my girls were able to get the touch-ups they wanted as we started to get closer to pictures and they looked beautiful! Most importantly, our makeup and hair still held up despite the 90+ degree heat and insane wind on the rooftop where our ceremony was held! I highly recommend them!

We hired through Pin Me Up for wedding makeup and had a great experience. They were communicative during the booking process. We wanted a makeup artist who was familiar with covering up facial hair and who works well with all skin tones, and they paired us with Hector who was a perfect match! Hector was so kind during our trials and made any adjustments we wanted, and he was such a blast to have with us on the morning of the wedding. (And his makeup work was of course amazing! We got so many compliments.) I am so glad we found Pin Me Up and Hector and would definitely recommend them.

I had a great experience with them overall! The hair and makeup was great and everyone in the bridal party was happy with it. I'll say the only two issues we had is that getting ready, one of the MUA's started loudly complaining about how she had to leave to go to another event and needed her parking voucher. None of us could solve that problem for her, but she continued to complain about it. Just a little awkward for us? The other issue is that I had scheduled hair and makeup touch ups before the reception and the MUA was almost an hour late, which threw off the schedule of time I was going to spend with guests. I understand things happen, but obviously was very frustrating on the day of.

I had a great experience with Pin Me Up on my actual wedding day! Denise (makeup) and Kim (hair) were both phenomenal - professional, patient, on-time, talented, and willing to re-do anything me or the girls didn't love! Denise 100% got my vision and made all the changes I wanted after the trial. I felt SO beautiful on my wedding day but still felt like I looked like myself- which is exactly what I wanted! All of my bridesmaids had a great experience and were super happy with their hair and makeup. The only thing I would mention is that leading up to the wedding I often had to email several times to get a response from Jessica. However, Dana did call me personally to apologize and was prompt with correspondence afterwards. It made me a little nervous at the beginning, but overall I had a great experience, especially day-of!

We had the pleasure of working with Pin Me Up Chicago for our wedding, and our experience was truly exceptional. Jessica Sylvester, who coordinated our services, was fantastic. She was prompt with responding to our messages and incredibly flexible when we had to make some changes to our plans. Her organization and support made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Our makeup artist, Branden, was nothing short of amazing. We cannot provide enough compliments for his talent and creativity. He is hands down the best makeup artist I have ever worked with, and provided the best makeup I’ve ever had. Branden worked real magic when I had an issue with my eyebrows, transforming them beautifully. All the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and mothers of the bride and groom were equally impressed with his skills. Branden made us all feel very beautiful and comfortable while we were getting ready. He was punctual and listened carefully to what each of us wanted and needed. We also worked with hairstylist Adya, who was fantastic. She arrived on time, was incredibly nice, and easy to get along with. Everyone loved their hair and appreciated how responsive she was to individual requests. Adya's professionalism and friendly demeanor added to the wonderful atmosphere of our getting-ready process. Overall, our experience with Pin Me Up Chicago was phenomenal. We highly recommend working with Jessica and her talented team to our friends and family for weddings and other special events. I had the best experience with Branden (makeup) and Rafaela (hair). They both were so so nice and patient and had amazing suggestions that supported the vibe I was going for. I looked exactly as I envisioned and felt GORGEOUS all thanks to them!! My two bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law also got hair and makeup done by them and looked amazing. Would absolutely recommend. I would seek them out for future hair/makeup needs.

As minimal makeup-wearers, we were a little overwhelmed when trying to choose our hair and makeup artists for our wedding day. Pin Me Up was fantastic to work with throughout the whole process and was extra accommodating when we decided to do a second trial to make sure we felt like our most confident selves on our wedding day. Harley (hair) and Jazmin (makeup) were phenomenal and helped our visions come to life so that our hair and makeup were exactly what we wanted and more. It was also very important to us to have a queer friendly company and artists and Harley and Jazmin made us feel so comfortable. They easily completed hair and makeup for two brides and 6 bridal party members with plenty of time so that our day was extra calm. We would definitely recommend Pin Me Up to anyone in the Chicagoland area!

Harley was my stylists for my wedding and BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK! I feel so gorgeous, my hair was exactly what I wanted and she is the biggest sweetheart and will make you feel instantly comfortable!

Used for my hair and makeup for my wedding, 9/3. It's important to note that this review pertains to my experience dealing with the company itself, rather than the artists who provided the services. My primary frustration stemmed from the difficulty of getting in touch with Jessica, the company's representative. Communication with her was consistently challenging, and I found myself having to repeatedly reach out for updates and, quite surprisingly, to make payment arrangements. The latter, especially in the lead-up to my wedding, was an unnecessary source of stress. Another issue that arose was the logistical mix-up regarding the location. Despite our wedding coordinator diligently conveying all necessary details, such as contact information and hotel arrangements, the artists still ended up at the wrong hotel and calling me on the wedding day, rather than my coordinator. I do not fault the artists for this; rather, it appears to be a result of inadequate communication within the company. One significant drawback was the absence of a dedicated phone number for emergencies. This omission led to several hiccups during the planning process and on the wedding day itself. In a high-stakes event like a wedding, having a direct line for immediate assistance is crucial. On a positive note, I want to acknowledge that the artists themselves were super friendly, talented and professional. They did a lovely job, and I have no complaints about the quality of their work. Additionally, the pricing offered by this company is competitive when compared to other similar services in the Chicago area. However, I can't help but feel that the company's pricing structure reflects its communication issues and organizational challenges. While their rates may be attractive, the frustrations caused by these shortcomings did impact my overall satisfaction.

I booked Pinmeup hair and makeup artists for my wedding and the whole experience was amazing! Their customer service is excellent with easy communication, quick feedback, and overall organization that makes you feel at ease. Both hair (Isabel Johnson) and makeup (Mei Moy)artists were professional, timely, and talented women. They provided great service for both my trial and my wedding day. I had the utmost confidence in them to make me feel extra special and beautiful on my day. They listened to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations on their delivery.

Rafaela from Pin Me Up made my hair and my wedding party's hair look beautiful. She is really lovely and she listened to what I was aiming for. The trial was really useful for us both and after it she gave a few suggestions on what could be tweaked. On the day she was great and everyone's hair was perfect. Pin Me Up have always been easy to contact and quick to respond.

Pin Me Up did a fantastic job for the wedding. Monique did make up and Harley did hair. Monique did an excellent job doing a bunch of different makeup looks for our bridesmaids and as the bride I LOVED my look. Harley only did my bridal hair and did a great job. The team at Pin Me Up was so easy to work with--they have a straightforward yet flexible model and clear pricing, which is a big part of why I chose them for my wedding (in addition to a friend's recommendation after she used PMU for her own wedding). Dana, the owner, styled my hair along with my mom, aunt and bridesmaid's, and Christine did our makeup. Both women are extremely talented and understood exactly what we were looking for. I don't wear much makeup and am hopeless with my hair, and they both made me feel very confident for my wedding day. It's also worth mentioning that you spend a lot of time with your hair and makeup team on the morning of your wedding, so I feel lucky that Dana and Christine also happened to be very cool to hang out with. Would highly recommend Pin Me Up if you're getting married!

I have to give the team 5 stars just for the fact that I am not a hair or makeup girl, and I was so happy with the finished product - in the end, that's all that matters! We had a decent size crew, with myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 3 moms, so it was a long morning with one artist each, but they were troopers getting everyone all set for the big day!

Jules and the Pin Me Up team truly saved my wedding. I'm not much of a makeup gal, and rarely wear it in my daily life. 4 days before my wedding I flipped over my bike and ended up with 15 stitches in my face the day of my wedding (literally not just a scar, the little threads were hanging out there....). Jules and the team did a beyond phenomenal job of essentially Hollywood magic to make them almost completely disappear. I got so many compliments from my guests, and now that our pictures are attached I don't even notice them. I never expected that I would have such strong feelings about my makeup artist, but truly, Jules and the Pin Me Up team were the heroes of my wedding week!

5 stars for Taylor and Nicole, who made me look and feel like a princess on my special day!! I can’t thank them enough for their beautiful work. I did have to take away a star since the bridesmaids who had their makeup done by heather had to redo everything. It all worked out in the end though. I paid for a touch up but Taylor and Nicole’s work held up so well that I hardly needed it! Thanks Pin Me Up ❤️

Highly recommend! I am so picky with my hair and makeup, but Pin Me Up did such a fantastic job bringing my vision to life! Taylor did my makeup and Harley did my hair and they are both so talented at what they do. All the girls loved them as well they help create such a fun atmosphere day of the wedding! Pin Me Up was such a success for my wedding day hair. I used PMU for bridal hair as well as bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom. Everyone's hair looked great and lasted the whole day! They were easy to communicate with via the portal as well.

Rafaela was amazing! She is very talented and did a wonderful job with everyone’s hair for my wedding. From the trial to the day of, you can tell she pays attention to every detail and looks back at her work, so she knows how to make it perfect the day of! Also, Jessica was extremely prompt when it came to answering all of my questions. From my interactions with these two ladies, it made the wedding process very easy, and I am so grateful for all of their help!!

They take feedback from your trial very seriously, and will take notes and photos to be sure they know exactly what you want. When I used them, they were always on time and prepared, and I would recommend them. It is inconvenient though that they have trouble taking checks as payment--I kept trying to pay them and they kept wanting to charge my credit card on file, but I hadn't given them one. Gratuity is included, which is very convenient.

Pin Me Up was super easy to work with when it came to booking and scheduling everything. At the trial, Raffaella did a beautiful job replicating a photo I brought in. Then on the wedding day, she remembered what changes she wanted to make to it to improve it. May was super helpful with my makeup at the trial, as someone who doesn't wear much makeup daily, I didn't really know what I wanted. We both looked through pictures and I pointed out what I liked and she was able to run with that! They were both at the hotel we were getting ready at on time (even a little early I think) and knocked out everyone in my bridal party so quickly that we were ahead of schedule! And everyone's hair and makeup stood the test of time, I still felt beautiful at the end of the night with all the kisses, dancing, and sweating and thought everyone else did too! My husband's service felt like it left a little to be desired. We ordered the men's grooming service (neck trim, beard trim, man buns, hair styling) and hot towel shave (in salon or on-location shave with a straight razor and hot towel) for my husband. Derrick was late, thankfully it wasn't actually a problem for us, but it did make everything feel rushed. A hot towel wasn't used and my husband did have a few cuts from the straight razor shave.

Working with Pin Me Up was seamless and they made me and my entire bridal party feel absolutely beautiful! They were so accommodating and flexible with each girl on the morning of the wedding and made doing 11 different hair and makeup styles look easy. Shoutout to the entire team at Pin Me Up that made asking questions through their online portal, scheduling trials, and making payments so simple. Thank you for making our day PERFECT!

I loved working with Pin Me Up. I was planning my wedding from Europe, so communication and scheduling all had an extra layer of complication, and everyone at Pin Me Up was extremely responsive and helped things go smoothly. Sam, makeup, and Harley, hair, were absolute pros and translated requests from the wedding party for everything from "punk rock" to "slightly bohemian" to "space kitty" into truly stunning looks. They were a joy to work with and I've never felt more beautiful. Plus my hair and makeup were still fully intact after several hours of dancing! Miraculous!

The makeup artist, Mimi, and the hair stylist, Dana, were FANTASTIC to work with! They did an amazing job on the morning of my wedding and also during the trial. Having them present getting ready added to the excitement of the day! Unfortunately we struggled with communication at times with the company leading up to the wedding, but grateful it was wonderful on our wedding day!

I had a great experience working with Pin Me Up for my June 2022 wedding in Chicago. I worked with Jessica throughout the planning process and her communication was professional and prompt. On my wedding day, the artists arrived early (yay!) but still waited until the scheduled time to come into our hotel room. I had a large wedding party (8 bridesmaids), myself, and my husband's mom, and the artists kept us all on schedule (we actually were ready a bit earlier than expected!). My day of coordinator had said that hair & makeup is one of the areas where a wedding day can get off schedule, but she felt confident knowing that we were working with Pin Me Up. I worked with Holly for hair and Mei for makeup, and I want to give each of them a special shoutout. After my trial, Holly gave me some great advice on how to get the full look that I wanted (only after I asked) by recommending a specific type of hair extensions and where to purchase them. I had never worn them before, but the day of my wedding I could barely tell that they were in my hair. Mei was also fantastic - I asked for some tweaks on the day of my wedding and she really listened & nailed the look. One of my bridesmaids said that this was the best her makeup had ever looked, even more than her own wedding day! And Mei also really helped my husband's mom who is going through chemotherapy to look and feel amazing. She was feeling really uncertain about how her makeup would look, but Mei took the extra time to make her feel comfortable and look her best. I am so grateful to her for that.

Pin me up was a fantastic choice for my rustic wedding. Sandra, my makeup artist was great at capturing my vision of a more natural look, while still looking made-up. My hair stylist was fantastic at capturing the image as well with just a couple inspiration pictures. Both the hair and makeup lasted through a teary eyed ceremony and a night of dancing. Overall, the two of them made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day.

Long story short of this review: I loved my hair and makeup for my wedding and my bridesmaids did too. The company that employs these artists need to work on their communication, and I do not recommend using Pin Me Up for your wedding. It will be a toss up and you will be very stressed waiting on communication. I signed my contract with them in January and they were very patient as I changed service requests due to my bridesmaids making decisions on what services they wanted. Pin Me Up sent everything over in a neat package via their portal. They specified that they would not book a trial until I had submitted a questionnaire filled with pictures for inspiration which I gladly did. They also specify in the contract not to reach out to them to schedule a trial as they will reach out to you - completely understandable given how many artists they manage and the deluge of weddings happening! However no one reached out for months and I started to worry. I reached out finally and got scheduled for two months before the wedding for a trial. The trial was a miss but that is why you have a trial! The artists were so nice but the hair had to be done twice, the first time was not the style I included in the portal. My hair fell out walking up the stairs to my apartment. Makeup was not blended even after asking for a touch up after the fact. I asked the artists to include two more people for service and they said they would note that. Then I submitted my photos and feedback to the portal and requested a retrial. I did not hear back from anyone for 7 days. I did get a text asking if I could speak on the phone after waiting. That was tough to coordinate too because when the time came for the call, I didn’t hear from anyone and we had to reschedule for the next day. They ran late to that call as well but life happens. At this point my retrial happened 4 weeks before my wedding. I was very nervous going to the retrial but the artists I booked with were amazing. They got the vision I was looking for right away and they did an amazing job on the day of, my bridesmaids loved their looks too. After the wedding I got a notification in the portal to pay for extra services. I was very frustrated at this because I had already asked the artists at the first trial to include two more services for the girls which they said they had noted, but I paid this and just want to forget the whole thing. So a word of caution: if you decide to use Pin Me Up, it will take you a long time to hear from the folks there because of how many projects they take on and the fact that there are so many weddings happening this year. You may want to work with a smaller organization that will communicate openly with you, even a message saying “We received your message and will get back to you soon” would have been thoughtful.
