Pin Me Up

LIZ AND VAL KILLED IT! I was so thrilled with my hair and makeup for the big day. The makeup trial was seamless, and they recreated perfectly on the day. The mothers of the bride and groom, along with the wedding party, all loved their makeup. At the end of the night, we were amazed by how pristine our hair and makeup remained! Special shoutout again to Val and Liz for truly going above and beyond to navigate the crazy Chicago Marathon traffic to get to where we were getting ready. The entire process, from start to finish, was so easy, and I've already recommended Pin Me Up to my other friends getting married.

Pin Me Up acts as a coordinator for a large group of independent hair & makeup artists and because of this your experience can really vary. I used them to book hair & beauty services for my engagement photos and I left pretty disappointed in how I looked. Lesson learned to always have exact pictures of what you want because your idea of soft glam can look very different from someone else's. I only had time for a makeup trial since I was traveling from out of town and that went a lot better so I decided to use them for wedding. I want to personally shout out Zia who did the makeup for me and me bridesmaids on the wedding day, she is amazing! I highly recommend her, especially if you're an Asian woman, she understands what works for us. My wedding hair didn't turn out exactly as I wanted but it was good enough, although my hair comb kept falling out.

Pin Me Up was great to work with! They were quick with their communication up front and services and pricing were very transparent. I liked that you could individually customize services and add things on closer to the event date if desired. I used them for hair and makeup for myself (the bride) and my 7 bridesmaids. I had a trial about a month before my wedding date, completed by Michelle (hair) and Lily (makeup). I loved my trial results so I didn't end up changing anything for the day of. All of the hair and makeup turned out amazing and everyone was super happy with their results. I'd highly recommend using Pin Me Up for your wedding in the Chicagoland area.

We had a pretty good experience with Pin Me Up with some small snaffus - but also some great moments. First, when I went for my initial hair trial appointment, there had been some kind of mix up in the scheduling or location and my stylist was not there. Dana reached out while I was on site and we got me rescheduled super quickly, so it wasn't a huge deal. PMU said they would "make it right", but didn't specify what that meant, and nothing ever came of it. One success was at my rescheduled hair trial: my stylist executed my requested style perfectly, and then I promptly realized that I didn't like it! I have to emphasize that that was on me - not the stylist, who followed my request exactly. The stylist then jumped in with some suggestions for tweaks that helped me feel more confident and improved the style while staying in line with my vision. My day-of hair turned out great. Because of the hair trial, I was nervous about how it would come out, but I shared a couple more ideas for tweaks, and it came out beautifully. I got a lot of compliments, and my now husband and I both loved how it suited my style and the dress I was wearing. Pin Me Up also accommodate three last minute additions to the hair schedule when our moms and an aunt asked to be included. It was super easy to make schedule updates and to modify the contract to include the extra styles. Our stylist did a nice job with everyone's hair. We kept our styles pretty simple, so I'm not sure how more complex updos would look, but our simple styles turned out lovely.

Pin Me Up was amazing to work with from start to finish. During my trial, they nailed the look I wanted on the very first try just from my inspiration photos, and both stylists were so warm and friendly. On the wedding day, the team arrived on time, kept everything moving smoothly, and listened to feedback without ever making anyone feel rushed. As someone with Asian hooded eyes, I’ve often struggled to find makeup artists who know how to work with them, but my artist was incredible. It was the first time I’ve ever had my makeup done professionally and truly loved it. My bridal hair and makeup also held up perfectly through hours of dancing!

HMU arrived on time. Demi (one of our makeup artists) was great, the other makeup artist was horrible. Our hair people were also not so great. My hairdo fell apart two hours before the ceremony, I had the braid which was used to hold my veil sticking out the entire time. Bridesmaid who had another makeup artist (not Demi) had to redo their makeup themselves. Extremely disappointed.

Planning a wedding is not easy, but Pin Me Up made the makeup and hair planning easy. I was so nervous for my hair and makeup for my big day. From the time I contacted Pin Me Up the planning was easy, quick, and helpful. I loved the portal that is easy to navigate and helpful by containing all the information for the project. I have very curly hair that gets extremely frizzy in the summer along with being a very sweaty person. These two characteristics made me very nervous for my August wedding. I let my hairstylist and makeup artist know about this and they promised me that they would do everything in their power to make my hair and makeup last.  My hair and makeup lasted ALL night long through all the dancing and sweating. The artists were so nice, excited for my big day, and helpful. I also got my bridesmaids and mom mini makeup sessions and hair updos. They all looked fabulous! I received so many compliments on my makeup and hair. Thank you for making my day so amazing! 

Brandon (make up) and Kris (hair) were amazing! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. While I over-all like the look during my trial, I felt things could be improved upon. When I shared my thoughts with Brandon and Kris they were both open and were able to make the changes, giving me the exact look I wanted. My bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law were also very impressed and happy with their looks. Everyone was very professional, and I had a great experience working with them.

great! my biggest wedding fear was not liking my hair/makeup. I didn't love my first makeup trial, but they quickly got me rescheduled to do a second trial, which was better. our bridesmaids commented on how kind everyone was. we kept Lily on to do touch ups, and that was a great splurge. would use this company again. only small con would be not being able to choose the artist/see their portfolio beforehand, but I'm sure that's for a reason!

Choosing Pin Me Up to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day is something I'll never regret! Lily (makeup) and Nicole (hair) were incredibly accommodating and put the needs of their clients first. From the trial to the wedding day they EXUDED kindness and care. My hair and makeup on the wedding day turned out better than I could have imagined! The coordination on the administrative end of the process was prompt and detail-oriented. I would highly recommend Pin Me Up!!

Pin Me Up did my hair and make up for my wedding, as well as all of my bridesmaids. They were fantastic! Super efficient, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. PMU did a great job with being responsive and friendly! The trial was a great way for me to get a look of what I wanted and didn't want. I was assigned Kim for hair and Sandra for makeup. They both did such an exceptional job and they are so friendly!

My mother and I both got our hair and make up done for my wedding and they did such an amazing job! I got tons of compliments and everything looked just as good by the end of the day as it did at the start. My make up artist Lily and hair stylist Val made me feel super comfortable even as someone who almost never wears make up.

Pin Me Up Chicago was easy to work with to coordinate my hair and make-up trials as well as the hair and make-up for myself and six additional wedding party members. My bridesmaids and the mothers raved about the quality of the hair and make-up services on the day of the wedding. I requested minor changes to my hair and make-up looks from my trials, and the hair and make-up artists were able to accommodate those requests easily. They both also finished ahead of schedule, which gave us extra time to relax and eat before taking photos and heading to the wedding venue. I would recommend using Pin Me Up Chicago for your wedding day hair and make-up!

The planning process and day of services through Pin Me Up Chicago were fantastic! Booking services was transparent and easy, communication was thorough and timely, and the trial and day-of-wedding services were perfect. I had 11 bridesmaids, mother of the groom, mother of the bride and myself for hair as well as 12 total for makeup and they made the getting ready process extremely efficient and enjoyable. Each one of my girls was thrilled with their final look and I couldn't have been happier with mine. The whole team was reliable and great at the services they provided!

The Pin Me Up team was very responsive and accommodating with my requests to change the number of bridal party attendees who wanted their hair done a couple of different times. The trial experience was very helpful to get an idea of what I wanted and to make sure that the wedding day experience went smoothly with my hair. The results were beautiful for my hair and all of my bridesmaids and mother's hair as well. Kim was so patient and fun to work with and was very kind. I would definitely recommend working with Kim for your wedding day hair needs. Her updo's, curls, and hairstyles were great!

Pin Me Up was fantastic! Super professional, and they absolutely NAILED the soft glam look that me and all of my girls wanted. The process of booking is pretty simple, and they are fairly responsive if you want to make any sort of changes. Super happy we went with them!

I booked Pin Me Up for my wedding, on the recommendation of my friend who had booked them for hers. I was looking for a hair and makeup team who would make my girls and I look like our best selves, on our best day. Pin Me Up DELIVERED. The artists I worked with were so great at listening and asking questions about my look, so everything ended up just how I wanted it to be. Don't skip booking a trial - that was a great chance to meet the artists, and to try things and adjust my look. They were accommodating of a super early start for our brunch wedding. Coordination-wise, communications were sometimes delayed, and we did have one last minute change from PMU the night before the wedding. Luckily our wedding coordinator was able to incorporate that change smoothly while I was at the rehearsal dinner. I recommend Pin Me Up, especially if you have a good wedding coordinator. The communication piece would have stressed me out if I was coordinating everything myself, but I’m sure everything would have come together in time regardless. The hair and makeup services were truly excellent. Several of my girls said it was the best professional hair and/or makeup styling they had ever experienced.

I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can't. PMU had rave reviews, but my experience was lacking. I do not wear makeup or style my hair day-to-day, and wanted that reflected in my bridal look. I was apprehensive and scheduled a trial, but my makeup artist showed up at the wrong location day-of, so I had to forgo the trial. However, I was still charged for the trial. I will say, my makeup day-of was as I was hoping and my stylist listened well to me wanting minimal makeup, but I felt the hair/makeup on my more glam bridesmaids was underwhelming. We also didn't adhere to the schedule we provided, and I feel some of us got less attention as we were rushed.

I could not be more happy with our PMU services for our wedding. We had a rather large group of attendees and with the expertise of the hair and makeup artists, we were always ahead of schedule! Nicole worked with me throughout the whole process on meeting my hair needs. She helped provide professional recommendations on how to make my hair hold curl-and with her advice, it worked! She worked wonders! Liz also provided beautiful makeup services for myself and my attendees. She listened to everyone's unique makeup needs and is a pro with fake eyelashes! Rene also provided hair services for my attendees and he created some beautiful hair styles! All in all my hair and makeup artists were incredibly professional, easy to work with, and made getting ready incredibly calming.

I could not have had a better experience with Pin Me Up. Their communication was consistent and clear, and they matched me with the absolute best artists based on how I described my desired look for the day. That fact was clear following my trial and made me feel calm and confident heading into my wedding day. Both artists not only executed exactly what I wanted but also allowed me to look like an elevated version of myself - a fact that was really important to me. Both Mothers of the Bride and Groom were pleased as well.

I was very happy with the hair and makeup for me and my bridal party. I got a lot of compliments on both. I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because there is some delay in communication compared to other vendors. Also, my makeup was an hour later than I said I needed to be ready by. I wish they would have told me to start earlier in the day to make the rest of the day less stressful.

I was lucky enough to have Branden and Kim as my MUA and hair duo for not only my engagement shoot, but my wedding day as well. From the engagement shoot, to the trial, to the day of the wedding, Kim and Branden were communicative, supportive, and gave great feedback when prompted. My hair is famously terrible at holding curl and Kim chatted with me to come up with the perfect plan for my desired hairstyle. On my wedding day, she was awesome at nailing everyone's different hairstyle requests and styles. Branden not only made sure to discuss everyone's wants with the makeup in detail before getting started, but truly tailored each person's makeup to their comfort level. I was so impressed at his level of personalization while still making sure everyone's makeup would work great for photos. All in all, on my wedding day, my hair and makeup held for over 12 hours, through windy outdoor photos, to crazed hours of dancing. I felt absolutely stunning on my wedding day and I couldn't be more grateful to them. I will be going to them for all my hair and makeup needs in the future. The backend communication was very straight forward, quick, and clear. I loved working with Pin Me Up!

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Pin Me up (special shout out to Taylor and Michelle) for my wedding day! From the very first trial, I knew we were in great hands. Taylor's makeup artistry was incredible—she really listened to my vision and made it come to life, which eased all my pre-wedding nerves. We had so much fun during the trial, laughing and chatting, which made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable. On the big day, I felt absolutely stunning! The makeup artistry was incredible—everyone not only created a beautiful look but also ensured it lasted all day without a hitch. The hair styling was equally amazing; each bridesmaid, bridespeople and moms had a gorgeous look that perfectly complemented our outfits. Everyone felt fabulous and received so many compliments throughout the day! PMU created such a positive atmosphere, making the morning of the wedding feel like a celebration in itself. I had a great experience with my makeup and hair artists. They were on time and got everyone done with time to spare. My makeup stood up well to all of the tears and my hollywood waves stayed in all day even with outdoor pictures. Very communicative vendor!

I was very anxious about my make up for my wedding because I never wear make up. Branden was very kind, and listened to my concerns. I wasn't 100% happy after my first make up trial, so I booked a second. I looked lovely, but I was very uncomfortable with the amount of make up. Branden listened and offered suggestions. I was much happier after my second trial. The issue I had was trying to schedule my second trial. I emailed multiple times and contacted them on the portal where I had selected services, but I waited and waited for someone one to get back to me. Finally, I just text my make up artist to try to help me get the second trial scheduled. It seemed that perhaps they were super busy, but it was a bit stressful to have to wait for days and days and reach out multiple times. I did like that they didn't have a minimum. I only had two people getting hair and make up done, so it was great that they were happy to accommodate such a small group.

I asked for a very natural look and Kristine did an amazing job. I am an older bride, 56, and she made me look like me, but perfect!

My original hair stylist unfortunately had to back out so I went with Pin Me Up Chicago a few months before the wedding. They were great to work with and were able to squeeze in a trial quickly. Christy did such a great job with my wedding hair - I absolutely loved it!

Pin Me Up was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding! I worked with Mei Moy for makeup and Jacqueline Rosato for hair and I cannot sing their praises enough! I came to my trial not knowing exactly what I wanted I am so happy that Mei and Jacqueline were there to help. For makeup, Mei took the time to go through every photo I had saved to ask questions to really understand what it was about each picture that I liked while also explaining what each makeup look in the photos was to help me understand what I wanted. On the wedding day, Mei exceeded every expectation I had from my trial and I have never felt more beautiful. She also did my mom’s makeup who typically does not like to be “done up” and she was the happiest with her makeup she has ever been. My bridesmaids even said it was their favorite wedding makeup they’ve ever had! For hair, it was so important to me to have a classic hair style that I could dance in all night long. I like to have my hair back and I feel my best with a low bun and Jacqueline was able to elevate the simple look and ensuring it did not move all night long. I cannot recommend pin me up enough and highly suggest asking for this team!

Pin Me Up was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day! The booking process was super easy with them, including booking my hair and makeup trials, and it was nice to have a one stop shop for both hair and makeup. THey made me feel so beautiful--just wish I could always have them along as my glam squad!

I used Pin Me Up for my wedding as they were recommended by a friend and I would definitely recommend to other brides! Their prices are very affordable compared to some other companies out there and they did a great job! I ended up doing a slightly different hair style for the day of compared to my hair trial and it turned out perfectly! I also liked how detailed oriented my makeup artist was. She took great notes after my trial and really listened to my thoughts on what worked/didn't work. My makeup lasted all day and night even in very hot and humid weather! I had 10 girls getting hair and make up done and they gave me two people for each service. This made things run very smoothly and we even ended ahead of schedule!

Pin Me Up made me feel sooooo pretty on my wedding day! I booked them way in advance because they were highly recommended by a friend. The online portal was easy to navigate and I was able to reach out to Jessica whenever I had a question or change. I had ten girls getting hair and makeup done the morning of, so I was super worried about timing! Pin Me Up brought plenty of stylists and makeup artists in order to ensure we stayed on track. All of my girls were able to get the touch-ups they wanted as we started to get closer to pictures and they looked beautiful! Most importantly, our makeup and hair still held up despite the 90+ degree heat and insane wind on the rooftop where our ceremony was held! I highly recommend them!

We hired through Pin Me Up for wedding makeup and had a great experience. They were communicative during the booking process. We wanted a makeup artist who was familiar with covering up facial hair and who works well with all skin tones, and they paired us with Hector who was a perfect match! Hector was so kind during our trials and made any adjustments we wanted, and he was such a blast to have with us on the morning of the wedding. (And his makeup work was of course amazing! We got so many compliments.) I am so glad we found Pin Me Up and Hector and would definitely recommend them.

I had a great experience with them overall! The hair and makeup was great and everyone in the bridal party was happy with it. I'll say the only two issues we had is that getting ready, one of the MUA's started loudly complaining about how she had to leave to go to another event and needed her parking voucher. None of us could solve that problem for her, but she continued to complain about it. Just a little awkward for us? The other issue is that I had scheduled hair and makeup touch ups before the reception and the MUA was almost an hour late, which threw off the schedule of time I was going to spend with guests. I understand things happen, but obviously was very frustrating on the day of.
