Maggie was absolutely fantastic and did such beautiful arrangements for our wedding. We live several hours from her office and the wedding venue, so my husband and I were unable to make the drive to meet her in person. However, she was able to discern my vision from our phone and email conversations and gave us a stunning, very affordable product. Thank you for making our dream of local, elegant, and wild arrangements come true :)

Maggie created the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen for our wedding! The shop is really unique in that it only sources local flowers, so you have to trust her to create with what she has. I am so grateful that I did- she is so thoughtful and creative, everything was perfect! We had several meetings in the months leading up to the wedding to talk about our ideas and budget constraints and what type of flowers might be available for an October wedding. She was always responsive and flexible and organized - the least stressful to work with of all of our vendors. And day of, it was even better than what I had imagined. My bouquet was lush and organic-looking and fresh and loose and just perfect. She was there to set up our massive flower garlands on all the tables and even to help hang our ceremony arch. I feel so lucky that I found her (before everyone finds out about her and she books up forever!). The flowers really pulled everything together in a very special way. Thanks Maggie!

We loved everything about the flowers and greenery at our event. Maggie and her team did an incredible job putting together wonderfully textured combinations. The arbor, bouquet, and table settings were all stunning and all the flowers were local. Maggie was very easy to work with and delivered everything we asked for (but made it look even better than we could have imagined). We would highly recommend Pine State Flowers for any event!

As a low-key and DIY bride, I was intimidated by the process of choosing a flower vendor and all of the flower-related details for my wedding day. Maggie at Pine State Flowers made the whole process easy, from her introductory questionnaire to her variety of design options (we went with the A La Carte), to seamless delivery on the day of the wedding. The centerpieces and bouquets themselves were beautiful, unique, and exactly what we were looking for. I would 100% recommend Pine State Flowers to any bride looking for high-quality (and locally grown!) flowers for their special day.

Using Pinestate Flowers was a dream for my wedding! I didn't know exactly what I wanted and could only describe colors and general vibe. I purchased through the A La Carter menu and was happy with what I got. The bouquets were gorgeous and in the colors I wanted. The centerpieces were perfect for our laid back BBQ wedding. We sent the Best Man to Pine State the morning of the wedding and Maggie had the flowers ready for him to pick up. Our coordinator then got them all ready for the tables and all I had to do was enjoy them! If you are looking for beautiful flowers without having to make a lot of decisions then this is the right option. If you need to have something specific- then this is not the right choice for you but if you just want something beautiful- I cannot recommend them enough!

Pine State designed our boutonnières, bouquets, and centerpieces and did the most wonderful job. The arrangements were stunning, natural-looking, and held up well throughout the day. We especially appreciated that the flowers were sourced from local farms.

Maggie is amazing! Not only is Pine State one of the most reasonably priced place around for wedding flowers, they are also absolutely beautiful. Even though we didn't order enough to qualify for delivery & set-up, she still worked with us to create something unique that suited our style and wedding colors. If you want total control over your specific flowers and colors, this probably isn't the place for you. But Maggie's arrangements were way better than anything I could've imagined. They were perfect!

Maggie Smith is an artist. She arranged my bridal bouquet, my husband's boutonniere, as well as the flowers for our wedding party and parents. I'm so incredibly glad that we went with Pine State Flowers because sustainability and supporting local businesses are important to us, AND these were literally the most gorgeous arrangements I'd ever seen. I was terrible at describing my "vision" to others—and I left most people utterly confused when I said that our colors were "big, bold berries, with some jewel tones...kind of like a sunset." Somehow, Maggie managed to untangle my wonky design ideas to produce a gorgeous lavender/deep purple/navy floral arrangement that I will be swooning over for years to come. Thank you, Maggie, for making my floral dreams come true!

I absolutely loved my flowers! Working with Maggie was effortless. I was planning from out of town with my mom in Raleigh to help out. Communication by email was great, and I recommend setting up a meeting in the shop to see the beautiful work in person. I gave them a loose idea of what I liked by going through the Pine State Flowers Pinterest page and Instagram, and left them to create something pretty. The end result was gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier!

FANTASTIC! Maggie made the process very easy. I planned my wedding from Texas and told her the look I was going for and the colors I wanted and she came up with the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. We also bought a few of the buckets of flowers to be economical and did our table arrangements 2 nights beforehand. There was a great mix of flowers in the buckets and they stayed alive fine and looked perfect on the day of. I would highly recommend Pine State Flowers to anyone looking for a florist who uses local flowers and who understands that the season dictates what flowers will be available.

Maggie and Pine State Flowers couldn't have done a better job on the flowers for my wedding and reception. Maggie was able to see my vision when presented with various pictures and descriptions (ambiguous!)-- I cried when her girls dropped our bouquets off at the hotel! I cannot speak her praises enough. She is also budget conscious and can give you different options based on what you want within different price ranges. Her service was impeccable- her girls dropped off ceremony flowers at two different hotels and the chapel. In addition, I underestimated the # bouts I needed and when we realized right before the ceremony what had happened, she whipped up an additional bout and had it delivered to the chapel. Support local, have personalized service, and work with kind people who truly love what they do- book pine state flowers!

Pine State Flowers did the flowers for our wedding and they were AMAZING. We love the local, sustainable method Maggie uses to obtain all of her flowers. Plus, her arrangements are absolutely gorgeous. We met with her once for about 20 minutes, described what we needed and generally what we had in mind and let her take it from there. She completely nailed our vision and people were raving about the flowers. Thank you for helping us make our day perfect and for being so wonderful and easy to work with.

I got married in February 2017 with little notice and chose to work with Pine State because of their use of organic local flowers and their style. Even though I was already familiar with their work I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by what they created for us. Maggie was incredible to work with - very quick to respond, easy to communicate with, laid back, open to hearing my vision, and friendly. She totally got the look that I was going for. She rolled with the last-minuteness of all of it with ease. Three days before my wedding I asked Maggie to make a comb with flowers on it for my hair and it was absolutely stunning. I still can't believe how talented they are at Pine State. They create a look that is stylish, natural, fresh, and unique, which is exactly what I wanted. This among their exclusive use of local flowers really sets them apart from other florists. Every single person at our wedding was so impressed by the look that Pine State helped us to create. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I got married on October 29 at Duke Gardens. Of course, the flowers at the Gardens are gorgeous, but Maggie was up to the challenge of topping them with the stunning arrangements she did for the wedding. I really like Maggie's approach of using locally-grown flowers in her arrangements. Of course, that means you have to trust Maggie to make something beautiful with the flowers she has available, and I'm so glad I did. When I walked into my reception and looked at the arrangements, it was like she had read my mind for what I wanted for the space. My bouquet was beautiful, as were the ones for my attendants. Maggie - thanks for making my wedding extra special and beautiful!

Maggie hit it out of the park when she did the flowers for my wedding. I've never seen such gorgeous, fresh, fragrant flowers before, and we were thrilled to death with everything. I showed Maggie pictures of shapes and styles she liked and left the design in Maggie's expert hands. Everything was just perfect. Thank you a million times for making my wedding super special!

Do not give the florist creative reign over your flowers. You have to dictate everything, from the arrangement, the flower-type, the colors, where each stem located, etc. If I could attach a picture here, I could show you the result of the flowers Maggie made on my wedding day. Half the flowers were wilting, missing petals, and her response to my complaint of the wilting flowers is that "it's natural" and that I should just pluck all the petals off until the buds remain for another "cool" look. I subsequently spent an hour before the ceremony on my fucking wedding day to pluck every wilting petal off all the flower arrangements, in the end, they still looked bad. I could've bought flowers at the local grocery store that were arranged better. Overall, overpriced, did not get the product I desired, very unhappy.
