Pinecrest Chalet is a Sierra Nevada landmark and tradition, located at 5,600 feet in beautiful Pinecrest, California. We are owned and operated by the UC Berkeley's Cal Alumni Association, the Chalet is open to alumni and the general public. Our seven wooded acres, dotted with cozy cottages and spacious chalets, offer guests an ideal basecamp when visiting nearby Pinecrest Lake and is a beautiful spot to get married. Our cottages and chalets house up to 130 people. We have a serene amphitheater, central courtyard, outdoor pool, children's play area, and audio visual equipment making Pinecrest Chalet the perfect place for a wedding. We host weddings year round, any time of the year!

Views were absolutely stunning and the property itself was perfect. Communication was a little hard to come by. I understand it’s the mountains but guests could never get a hold of anyone, neither could I, and the voicemail box was always full. Still highly recommend! But know that it’s pretty bare bones when it comes to venue’s. The view is all worth it!

The venue was beautiful, everyone had an amazing time escaping for the weekend into the woods! Communication was difficult with the venue, but I always got answers to all of my questions!

Raising a red flag on wedding reservations. I visited in early April 2021 and was given a wedding date in June 2022. Everything was fine, and it seemed like a great place for a wedding. Since then I have been unable to get a hold of any responsible person to discuss contract terms and deposit. The phones have been "out" for weeks and when we do get through, we're given a different story every time and have even been hung up on a few times. I would not recommend spoiling your special day by having to deal with the incompetent owner.

Great place for a lovely wedding in the woods. Everyone stayed on site so we didnt have to worry about designated drivers. They let us take over the site so we could organize as we wanted....
