I truly don’t know if there are enough words to express how happy and grateful we are that we chose Pinecrest Northwoods for our wedding.
The property itself is absolutely magical,...
the grounds are stunning, it's so secluded and quiet, and the cabins have been restored beautifully, with so much thought and care put into every single detail. Madi and Mike have created a space that is truly special, from the record they have playing in the sauna to the curated collections of books they have on their shelves, you can tell how much of their hearts they have poured into making Pinecrest what it is.
But as gorgeous as the property is, Madi and Mike are what made our wedding truly above and beyond anything we could have dreamed. They are incredible at what they do. Throughout the entire planning process, they were organized, thoughtful, reassuring, and so genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be.
The morning of our wedding, I was absolutely panicking because of the forecast. We had discussed our rain plan when we had arrived a few days earlier, but I was so worried about changing the vision we had had for our wedding day. Madi and Mike stayed calm, positive, and confident that things would work out. They adjusted the plan, took care of everything, and somehow created something even more perfect than what we had originally planned. What I thought was going to ruin everything ended up becoming one of the things that made our wedding feel so intimate, so cozy, and everything we could have asked for and more.
Our wedding weekend was truly better than we ever could have imagined, and we owe that all to Madi and Mike. Their calming presence, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to make everything feel completely under control made all the difference to us that day. We will forever be grateful for the care they put into our day, and for the memories we were able to make there with the people we love most.
We can't wait to come back and visit Pinecrest, it's so special to think that we will be able to bring our family back to stay at and enjoy the place where we got married. Thank you again to Madi and Mike for everything you did for us, and if anyone is thinking about getting married at Pinecrest, do it!!
Maddie and Mike were incredible in helping us plan our wedding every step of the way. Their beautiful venue is just the cherry on top! They made my dream wedding vision come to lif...
e, and ensured that my wedding weekend was as stress free as possible. I couldn’t have more nice things to say about my experience at Pinecrest. Having all of our best friends staying at the venue with us and enjoying all of the things Pinecrest has to offer made for an unforgettable weekend.
I’m not sure I have the words to fully capture how magical Pinecrest Northwoods is as a wedding venue or how truly wonderful Madi and Mike are, the kindest souls who own and manage...
the property. From the moment we met them, they felt like an extension of our family and long-lost friends. Their calming presence, thoughtfulness, and support throughout the entire process made everything feel so much smoother (which is essential for anyone planning a wedding, no matter how organized you think you are).
We hosted a small wedding of 28 guests and stayed on-site for nearly a week, renting out the cabins and glamping tents. The property itself is whimsical, idyllic, and straight out of a storybook. Every detail, from the main lodge to the ceremony site to the lovingly decorated cabins, was so thoughtfully done and reflected the owners’ cool style and attention to detail, creating moments everywhere you looked. Our photographer kept raving about how unique and photogenic the venue was, saying he had already taken over 1,000 photos halfway through the day.
Our guests were just as enchanted, constantly commenting on how gorgeous the venue was, how beautiful the cabins were, and how special the entire experience felt. The lake access with SUPs and kayaks was a huge added bonus for our active crew and made the week feel like a perfect mix of wedding and vacation. My parents are already talking about returning for a family trip, and my husband and I can’t wait to come back with our own family for years to come.
To say we’re in love with Pinecrest Northwoods would be an understatement. It holds a permanent place in our hearts. If you’re planning a smaller wedding and want a venue that embodies everything a wedding should be, not just in the property but in the people behind it, this is the place. We’ll forever be grateful to Madi and Mike for making our wedding unforgettable, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if my parents invited them to Christmas this year because by the end of our wedding week they had officially been adopted into the family (whether they liked it or not).
Not only is Pinecrest BEAUTIFUL, they do a great job! We had about an 80 person wedding, and rented out all the cabins for the whole weekend. Where else can you have all your guest...
s have a summer camp weekend together at your wedding? They accommodated us quickly when the weather turned to rain on the day of, and help us do fun extras like a tea party and a fish fry the next day. & did I mention it's beautiful?

fect wedding venue. The owners and staff are all very nice, helpful and fun. They are also very creative and really helped us to have a beautiful wedding setup. We rented out the whole property and had family and friends stay onsite for the weekend. Everyone really enjoyed the cabins, they were so cozy and comfortable and had so many intentional details. There is also a wood fired sauna that we really enjoyed using for the weekend. The property and lake are scenic and peaceful. Pinecrest is the perfect place for a small wedding or just a nature getaway!

vailable for us to choose from and were very accommodating to achieve what we were looking for in a small and intimate family wedding. They clearly put a lot of work into making our wedding a success and expressed thoughtful attention to detail. Our family really enjoyed their time experiencing the beauty of the UP wilderness. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more helpful couple to work with.

felt so supported making our decisions, while also leaving alot of artistic decisions to them as they have such an amazing eye for exactly this. Getting married in the dreamy woods would not be quite as magical as I thought it would be without the help of them and their team, and I am so grateful! We still like to come back to Pinecrest to visit, we can never quite stay away, and never will. It's enchanting, and I would get married here again if I could!
If you are looking for a cozy getaway, you need to book this gem in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan- Pinecrest Northwoods. It’s like your home away from home. We had a bachelorette...
party for one of my girlfriends there, and the owners were wonderful. They even set up a cute cabin for us as her last stop before the "veil" sign. Any questions we had were answered, and we felt so at home. Dogs are allowed, and the facility is really clean. The sauna is original and a great way to relax after a long day of hiking, swimming, or even drinking, hahaha. We loved our stay at Pinecrest, and we are definitely considering another trip during the winter. There's plenty of parking, the view of the lake is impressive, and the lodge that hosts weddings and other events is nice. It’s a very intimate place, and the local bar was quite the place to be! The locals are really nice. Thank you, Mike, and Madi for a great bachelorette glamping trip!
We recently celebrated our special day at Pinecrest and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds, we were met with warmth and professionalism...
. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every need, ensuring that every detail was executed flawlessly.
The venue itself was stunning, with picturesque views and charming architecture that provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Whether indoors or outdoors, every corner of Pinecrest exuded charm, making it a photographer's dream.
One of the highlights of our experience was the exceptional support we received from the venue's team. From the initial planning stages to the big day itself, they were there every step of the way, offering guidance and support to ensure that our vision was brought to life seamlessly.
Overall, our experience at Pinecrest was nothing short of extraordinary. If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, charm, and nature, look no further! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and we're forever grateful to Maddy and Michael for making our wedding dreams come true.
