Piney was a breath-taking place to have a wedding. The pictures didn't do it justice; it was unbelievably gorgeous in person. Also, the food they catered was delicious. Highly recommend!!

There is no better venue than Piney River Ranch. The views are absolutely breath taking and the team ensures that every detail is planned out so that your day runs smoothly. We had so many guests comment on how incredible the food was and the bar tenders made delicious drinks too! The best part was being able to walk next door after the wedding ended to the cabins and have a bonfire with our family and friends. I can't recommend this venue enough, it was worth every cent!

Piney River Ranch is hands down the best wedding venue in Colorado. Pictures just don't do justice to how breathtakingly beautiful the mountains and lake are surrounding this venue. The building itself is an extremely well maintained rustic barn offering space for a covered outdoor cocktail reception with bar, as well as a separate indoor dining space with a bar. If you're looking for a venue with a barn or rustic feel, look no further. Catering is included with the venue fee and it is phenomenal. Piney holds tasting event in the months prior where you are able to taste menu items to help narrow down your choices for your wedding day - we loved everything that was offered we had a hard time choosing our ultimate menu. Piney staff were absolutely top notch as well. Shoshana was incredible both leading up to our big day as well as on our wedding day. We drove to Piney with my husband's parents to show them the venue on an impromptu trip and Shoshana was so helpful and gave us a tour without hesitation. Piney event staff the night of our wedding were professional and helped our guests quickly - I honestly couldn't ask for more. To be transparent, this venue isn't for every wedding though. One of the things I loved the most about this venue is there is a 30-45min dirt road that leads to the venue - no paved, smooth roads. It's bumpy and it's not a perfectly maintained road, but that's the best part. If you book with Piney you also need to book with a transportation company, DO NOT have your guests drive - ESPECIALLY at night/after drinking. The other thing I LOVED about this venue is that there is NO cell service on the road or at the venue. NONE. You and your guests get to be in the moment and present for your wedding - it's amazing. My wedding day was perfect and I can't imagine getting married anywhere else. Honestly, this place is magical.

Piney is hands down the most spectacular wedding venue in Colorado. Everything from the amazing view to the marshmallow fire pit was perfect for our guests. They even set up a “canoe and cocktails” for our cocktail hour where our guests could take canoes out on the lake. It was an incredible experience. The coordinators, Brittany and Shoshana, are wonderful to work with. They were responsive and made the day stress free. Couldn’t recommend this venue more.

This venue is priceless & STUNNING. Seriously, it’s the only place where you can get sunshine, rainbows, rain, downpour, and more sunshine and still have the most perfect day and views. During our first look it was lightly raining, and by the time our bridal party began walking down the aisle to “here comes the sun” - the clouds opened and the sun came out for the entire ceremony. Our guests could not stop talking about the venue and that moment. My now husband and I will forever be dreaming about this venue and our perfect day. The team, service, ceremony deck, food, canoes, reception space are incredible and capture a true colorado mountain vibe. Our guests commented on how friendly Shoshona and the bartenders were. We also recommend the lodging buyout- you will not regret it. Waking up the AM after with the same view is breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back to Piney for years to come.

The most amazing wedding venue ever! The staff at Piney was so easy to work with and made our day go so smoothly! Shoshana & Brittany were always quick to respond to questions & emails! We planned this wedding out of state and had absolutely no issues the day of! The views are absolutely breathtaking and all of our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about Piney River! The food & drinks were also great! Us and our wedding party stayed in the cabins the night of our wedding which I 1000% recommend! Waking up to the mountains and water was so beautiful and something we will always remember! We made some of our favorite memories here at Piney! The road to get there is completely worth it. We cannot wait to come back and stay for a couple of nights! We honestly have nothing but amazing things to say. We had the best wedding ever!

Best wedding venue (and place in general), maybe in the world,, ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!! Shoshana & Brittany and management were so amazing and so incredibly quick on all responses. Our wedding here blew away any expectations we could have ever possibly imagined. The scenery was phenomenal, so many activities, everyone was mind boggled by how insane this place is. The canoeing after our ceremony with all of our friends was so fun and so unique, and the photographs on the lake were just insane! We also saw moose during sunrise, and a little at dusk - SO COOL!!!! One of my favorite things about this venue is that there is no service, so everyone was forced to be incredibly present for the entire event. We had a small wedding of about 50 people and we all stayed in the cabins after the wedding, which was the BEST - I cannot recommend enough having the entire party stay for the night with all of the fire pits lit, and cabin hopping socials. There are a lot of ppl that complain about the "off roading" to get there and I will definitely argue with that - the dirt road up is really not bad at all, I saw a couple Prius's and regular sedans make it up without any issues. Best day of our lives, nothing could have been more perfect. Perfect is an understatement, I am insanely obsessed. THANK YOU PINEY!!!!!!!!

Obviously the venue itself is gorgeous! All of our wedding guests were wowed by the beauty and we could not have been happier to get married beneath our favorite mountains. What really made Piney the best though was Shoshana! She is AMAZING! She was always prompt, thorough, and more than accommodating in our communications and planning options. She was an angel the day-of. From the minute we got out of the shuttle to the minute we got back on at the end of the wedding, she made sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. She made sure we had drinks and snacks when getting ready at the venue, checked in with us often, and made sure we had food (thank you so much!) from apps and dinner to dessert. She even made us a goodie box of our desserts and cake along with a sweet gift bag and thank you card. Our wedding day experience was totally awesome thanks to her!

Brittany and Shoshana were amazing to work with! Their communication was spot which is key for a wedding planner. Always responded to emails very promptly and just a pleasure to work with. On the day of they were there and so helpful as well. Couldn’t recommend Piney River and their team more!

Wow wow wow. From the views to the communicative, helpful, and kind staff- our wedding was an absolute dream come true! All of our guests loved Piney and are already talking about going back next summer to visit. Some older guests did have trouble getting past the road up, but they were also all out of state (midwesterners not used to mountain roads). Piney and the entire staff was so easy to work with and they were determined to help our vision come to life. If you want the wedding of your DREAMS with the most stunning photos and memories, Piney is your place. There’s no other place like it on earth. It now holds an even more special place in our hearts and we can wait to come back and bring our future children back one day. I will forever love and rave about Piney River Ranch🌲🛶♥️🙌🏻😍

You will not regret reserving Piney River Ranch as your venue! My husband and I instantly fell in love with this venue and booked it although it was the only venue we toured. It did not disappoint! It was such a breathtakingly gorgeous venue without even a stitch of décor. However, when you add in all the details you are truly able to transform the space into your wildest dreams. The staff was truly incredible. One server noticed that my mom was obsessed with out of the appetizers and constantly came back to serve her when she received a fresh plate. She was very appreciative. :) Although the communication is difficult due to lack of service and location of the venue, everything went so smoothly and we were in constant connection with Brittany and the staff. They helped answer all our questions and coordinated with all of our vendors. We even rented out the lodging for the night and continue to party until the early hours of the morning. It was truly a dream and Piney River Ranch made our dream wedding a reality.

The immaculate ceremony, reception and getting ready spaces that are always clean, organized, and set up exactly how you want them to be. The optional lodging on site for the coolest after party experience. As a wedding planner who has hundreds of weddings under my belt... Piney is hands down my favorite venue. I couldn't recommend it more!

Piney is the absolute best! We had our wedding here and it is absolutely breath taking. It is a bumpy drive to get there, but beyond worth it. Beautiful views, stunning venue. The food was great as well as the service. Brittany and Shosana were great to work with and put up with us for 2 years since our wedding needed postponed. Our wedding party stayed at the venue the night of, and it was so special waking up there in the morning to such stunning and peaceful views. It truly is a magical place - can’t recommend enough.

Piney River Ranch...where to even begin? It feels almost impossible to leave this short and sweet as my heart is bursting with love but I will try my best. Our wedding was more than I ever could have dreamed of and we owe alot of that to not only this perfect venue but to the most beautiful staff. From the very beginning of planning, we felt right at home. They guided us, answered all of our questions, and worked around our schedule for our tasting and walk through. As stressful as planning can be, I truly felt so at peace working with everyone. Fast forward to the day of and that just really sealed the deal for us. Everything was perfect. From our food, our ideas and visions executed even more beautifully than I imagined, and the attentiveness to my husband and I so we could truly enjoy the day. It meant everything to us. They didn't miss a single thing. From the bartendars, the staff working at the gift store, everyone who helped set up, you couldn't ask for more positive, happy people. We would especially like to thank Brittany and Shoshana who are absolute angels from above. We couldn't imagine the day without them and we are so grateful to know them. Piney River Ranch and the staff will forever have a special place in our hearts. We are forever grateful. If you want to have the most magical wedding that you will never forget, Piney River Ranch is it. From the views, the moutanins, the water, the moose, the food, the never ending champagne, getting to take the canoe out to take pictures, and the most beautiful staff - it is truly heaven on earth.

My husband and I had an elopement here, and it was MAGICAL! Shoshana is the absolute bomb.com and helped us set up and with anything we needed! The view is unbelievable. It doesn’t even seem real. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing the wedding pictures turned out. It was worth every penny. I would 150% recommend getting married here! We are already planning to go back for a visit and hike! Thank you Piney River Ranch for a magical day!

My husband and I lived in Denver when we got engaged and really really wanted a venue that was easy(ish) to get to, provided our guests with an amazing Colorado experience, and gave us the wedding of our dreams. Piney River checked ALL of those boxes. We got engaged in the winter and I knew that I was going to have to get a venue ASAP if I wanted a summer wedding in the mountains. When I found Piney, they weren't going to be open until June because of the snow, so I had to decide if I wanted to take the chance and sign a contract for a venue I couldn't see in person and that had only a few reviews on line. BEST DECISION EVER!!! The views are incredible, the food was AMAZING, and the venue was sooooooo flexible when it came to covid and us having to push our wedding out a year. Our guests continue to rave about how special our wedding was. The only thing that really sucked was having to pay for transportation up the mountain (its EXPENSIVE!!) but we did cost comparison for easier to get to mountain venues and it ended up being a wash because of how affordable Piney's catering is. If we had to do it all over again, I would pick Piney River Ranch over and over and over again.

If you are looking for a rustic, mountain venue for your wedding you cannot beat Piney River Ranch! Piney combines the view of Piney Lake and the Gore Range with their gorgeous log pavilions for the ultimate mountain ambience. Do not be surprised if you get the extra treat of wildlife showing up for your big day like we did...I mean where else would a bald eagle just hang out to join the party?! Brittany and Shoshana were a pleasure to work with before the wedding and helped make sure our event was seamless the day of! Finally, Cowboy Catering crushed it with their food. Every single one of our guests commented on how delicious the meal was and raved about the appetizers. Do not let the drive up there scare you from having your wedding at Piney! All of our guests thought the bumpy ride up was worth the experience. Honestly, we are so pleased we had a wedding at Piney that I cannot recommend it highly enough!!!

Piney River Ranch is the most amazing place to have a wedding! We could not have been happier with the venue. The location is absolutely stunning and the drive is definitely worth it. We are Vail locals and wanted a local wedding venue that felt true to us. The setting of the ranch in the mountains and the background of the Gore Range (our favorite) was exactly what we were looking for. Brittany was easy to work and communicate with, answering all of our questions as we navigated a 2021 wedding and the challenges associated with it. Piney and their caterer Cowboy Catering provided an opportunity to see and taste all menu options prior to the wedding. We and all of our guests agreed the food was fantastic. On the day of the wedding Piney's staff worked seamlessly with our wedding planner to ensure all logistics went off without a hitch, despite the weather. We highly recommend considering Piney for your future wedding!

I can say that out of all the weddings we have planned around Colorado, Piney is among the best of the best! The views are epic, and so is the staff! I can´t explain how happy we are to have had the best day of our lives in Piney River Ranch. The wedding was gorgeous but the service and all the attention was even better. Brittany is amazing, she helped us through everything. It was really special and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity of getting married there.

Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Piney as a venue, Brittany as the coordinator and planner, and the staff overall! I don’t even know where to start. We booked for the views (they’re gorgeous) but got so much more. Everything from the food to the drinks was incredible, and our guests agreed! The staff was timely in responses to questions, and the day of, multiple staff members took such good care of me and my girls! They made sure we had what we needed and felt special. Everything from start to finish ran seamlessly, and we have Brittany to thank for that! Piney made our day so special, and we left feeling like we’d made friends during the process. If you want a wedding that your guests will talk about for years to come, you need to book at Piney!

Piney River Ranch gave us our DREAM wedding. The views, the service and the staff were all incredible. From day one Brittany was absolutely amazing. She answered every single question we had and in such a timely manner. It was smooth and easy and we never had to stress for a second. The view at Piney speaks for itself but the service is what really sealed the deal for us. The food was incredible. All of our guests have commented about how amazing it really was. Our guests have also all commented about how magical our wedding day was and it is all thanks to Piney and Brittany for making it such an amazing day. We planned this entire thing from Florida during Covid and did not get to do a site tour until 3 days before and we couldn't make the food tasting but none of that mattered on the actual day. It went so smoothly and Brittany was such a huge help. We can't thank you enough for helping us have the best day of our lives. Anyone who is considering getting married at Piney, DO IT! we promise you will not regret it.

The view from this venue is stunning. But EVERYTHING else is a complete mess. If you are just desperate for a venue because they are one of the few venues open during COVID, just beware that it will be expensive and you will be disappointed. Here is what was missed on our wedding day. And this was after a special trip to PRR to meet with Brittany, (sales and event manager) to go over again, the details. However, Brittany was ill, so one of the owners and manager of the facility, Monique Busold, was in charge the day of my wedding. I have not spoken to Monique, nor did she ever reply to single email I sent with the same details. *The bathroom on the hill was dirty and no toilet paper. Asked for it to be cleaned, never was. We were promised a closer bathroom to the event, it was not there. *It was moved to a different room… which I guess was ok but far too big for 20 guests. *I asked for snacks and drinks to be in both changing rooms upon arrrival; there were none. The coordinator I hired separately was able to get me a glass of wine, no one else received anything but water. *My signature drink, a cosmopolitan, which is a martini, I did not have a martini on the day of my wedding. I had a seabreeze or some version of…. (martini glasses were rented, no communication with the bartender). Apparently, the bartender told the wedding coordinator that a martini is a shot and could not be served on property and refused to use to the glasses. *I did not have a single appetizer, heard from others they were delicious. *The meal was supposed to be served buffet style, why we technically needed more space and it was moved. We wanted and requested buffet to mingle with the group, so people could choose what food they prefer, for covid purposes to self serve and so their food would be hot. (I also had menus printed, for buffet style). The vegetarian meal was served even though Josh’s sister was not present at the wedding, numbers of those attending were updated via email. Communication just so poor. *Instead the meal was plated, was cold, over cooked and FAR TOO much food on the plate, honestly… it did not look presentable or appetizing. I would give the meal a 0. *I asked for the remainder of the cake to be wrapped up, since everyone had their cake slices taken, no one even had the chance to try it. Where is communication? sense of service? We had 2 slices packaged and put in our room. The remainder of the cake should have been frozen. *The flu was broken in our tent (honeymoon nite) so the tent was full of smoke or freezing. There is no one on staff to help. *Apparently an event order is supposed to be on site to run through the details of an event for all to follow. We did not have one. WE spent in all around 26K (probably more) for a wedding from 4-8 pm. The view was incredible but the service and food were deplorable. Honestly, I don’t know what would have happened had I not had the wedding coordinator I hired there to do her job and the ranch’s job as well. The ranch's response: Sorry and a $200 credit for food we did not eat and they did not serve.

There are simply not enough words to express the incredible experience that we had with this amazing team. Monique was our point of contact the day before and on the Day Of the Wedding. She was simply incredible. As we planned the Event in a short time frame in the midst of COVID-19, there were many unusual circumstances that surrounded this intimate affair. Monique and her amazing staff went above and beyond at every turn. They were friendly, accommodating, thorough and simply a joy to work with on the Big Day. Piney River Ranch is the most BEAUTIFUL location for a mountain wedding!! Along with the amazing backdrop, the ceremony and reception areas allow you to create any atmosphere you desire. Thanks to Brittany and Monique (and all the staff) our day went extremely smoothly. They both are so easy to communicate with, informative and very helpful throughout the entire process. Also the caterer, Cowboy Catering, was wonderful and all his food was delicious! Would never have wanted to have our wedding at any other location!

Piney was absolute perfection. Upon choosing Colorado as our wedding destination, we knew we wanted to find a venue that captured Colorado's true beauty. We stumbled upon PRR while searching online, and knew it was something special. Everyone that we interacted with was amazing, especially Brittany! There isn't a more picturesque place to share your big day. We absolutely love Piney, the people, and would 10/10 recommend to anyone inquiring. Our day was perfect, and we are going to make the trip to PRR an annual one.

Piney River Ranch was my husband and I’s dream location to be married! We took one of our first vacations together here and have been every year since! Throughout the entire planning process, Monique and Brittany were easy to work with. They were quick to respond and worked well with any questions or requests we had. We were unable to make it to the tasting but it wasn’t a big deal to us. The food was fresh and amazing! The on-site bride and groom suites for getting ready were perfect and made getting ready go smoothly. The venue, the staff, the atmosphere all deserve 5-stars. Mountains, a lake, no service; what more could you ask for?!

This venue is incredible!! All of our guests were from out of state and my husband and I wanted to show them what Colorado was all about and this place did exactly that. It blew our guests away and we all had an amazing time in the mountains. You can’t beat these views plus the team that works at Piney is extremely helpful and kind. For being almost an hour down a dirt road, the food is delicious and the bartenders were a blast. Thanks for everything Brittany and team, you helped make our wedding day a dream come true!

We got married on June 29th, 2019 at Piney River Ranch. This was the most incredible wedding venue you can possibly imagine. Absolutely stunning. The food was incredible, the staff(Brittany and Monique) absolutely a pleasure, and I can’t say enough about how magical of a location this venue is in. We are very outdoors oriented people and loved the idea of staying in cabins with all of our closest friends in the middle of eagles nest wilderness. We rented all of the lodging. The venue is difficult to get to and required hiring transportation for any guests returning to Vail. In addition, we don’t recommend having cake or any florals delivered to the venue due to high additional transportation costs. We ended up with a donut bar and had our flowers delivered to our hotel the morning of the wedding. Finally, I would highly recommend hiring April Arnold from April Marie events. Our wedding coordinator made our day perfect, and without any prior experience at our venue.

The entire staff at Piney River Ranch was wonderful to work with! From setting up a tour to taking our engagement photos to the amazing food tasting and our incredible wedding, all of the staff went above and beyond at every point. The food, views, cabins were all amazing and our guests keep talking about how beautiful it was, how it was the best wedding food they have had, and how kind and amazing every staff member was! Thank you, Brittany and Monique, for making our day wonderful!

If you're looking for dramatic, off-the-beaten path, and rustic, then Piney is your spot. I cannot say enough about how fantastic the venue is and how incredible Monique and her team are. With their guidance, our wedding (and night - we did the lodging buyout with all our friends and had a big campfire that night!) was exactly as we had hoped, and more. From the food, to the setting, to the staff, and the facilities, we continue to receive compliments about how amazing our wedding was!

Piney River Ranch is an absolute dream! My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. Monique and the staff were amazing and so easy to work with. Our guests had such an amazing time and could not get enough of the breathtaking views. On top of the views, the food is amazing too. This venue was everything that we dreamed of and more!

Not LGBT friebdly!!!! We did not end up booking this venue because Brittney the sales manager was awful to us and basically told us to go away after finding out we were a same sex couple. I would not recommend anyone booking with them after the complete display of hatered shown to us.

We just had our wedding up at Piney last weekend, and it was even more incredible than I imagined it could be. Brittany, the venue coordinator, is very prompt with communication and is so friendly and willing to work with you. Our guests won't stop telling us how amazing the food and the views were. They keep saying it was the best wedding they've been to. Your stomach will be full to busting, but the garlic mashed potatoes are so worth it! If you choose to have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception up here, it's so easy because they're all right in the same little area, so your guests don't have to travel far. CME is super easy to work with to shuttle guests up there and back. I highly recommend Piney to anyone wanting an "in the mountains" feel. No one will be disappointed.

PERFECT FAIRY-TALE SPOT! I cannot say enough positive things about Piney River Ranch. The view in itself is a top reason to choose this location to get married at. Most of our guests were from out of town so we immediately wanted to choose a venue that provided a true Colorado experience. Piney was that and more. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, especially Brittany. Monique helped us coordinate a rehearsal brunch and it was perfect. Both of them were so helpful with everything. Our guests are still talking about this location and how it was the best wedding they've been to, mostly due to the views and all Piney had to offer. The food was to die for... It was great during the tasting but even better at the wedding. I could go on all day but will say this... If you are back and forth about booking this venue for your wedding, whether you need time to see it or are worried about costs... DO. NOT. WAIT. It was worth every penny and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, along with our guests!

What a beautiful place! What a beautiful wedding ! The wedding took place in early September at the end of a very busy wedding season at piney but Monique and her staff made us feel as if we were the only wedding they had all season!

Piney river ranch is an absolely beautiful wedding venue. Everyone at our wedding venue has been raving at how beautiful it really was. Brittany was so helpful with all my 400 questions, and the cabins were so adorable.

The views from Piney are unmatched. If you are looking for a mountain wedding with an easy, flowing area for the ceremony and reception, then Piney is perfect. The entire venue feels like it is outdoors - the convenient covered reception area has expansive windows that overlook the ceremony deck, the lake, and out to the Gore Range. We had some small blips at our wedding but overall, Alex (Brittany's assistant) was so extremely helpful and easy to work. She was totally on top of everything and want above and beyond what was in the contract. I would highly recommend celebrating your big day up at Piney River Ranch. The food was so great (not something you always hear when you have a buffet). We served the flank steak and the bone-in chicken and all of it was cooked perfectly.

Brittany was such a pleasure to work with and has become a friend after having our wedding at the one and only, beautiful Piney River Ranch. She was always quick to respond to all of our inquiries during our planning process. It is always great to work with someone you WANT to work with. From the moment we met her on our first trip up to Piney, to the evening spent tasting food at Cowboy Catering, all the way to and through our big day, she was there to help and guide us through the process. Always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our wedding day was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it being, she came through every time! We loved getting married here! It was exactly what we wanted with the rustic feel and mountain terrain. We both are a very active couple, so this was just right up our alley. The staff was wonderful and the food was amazing!!!!

This venue was my wife's dream location for our wedding but the experience was better than either of us could have anticipated. I don't need to say much about the location, it speaks for itself but Brittany and team did an amazing job from reservation to post ceremony clean up. Brittany was great at communicating with my wife throughout the planning process and the day of. She is very organized and knows what is needed to do a wedding and do it right. We had our wedding at Piney River Ranch at the end of September. The staff was very easy to work with and did everything in their power to make it an awesome day. I couldn't have asked for anything more! The fall colors were gorgeous and all of our guests were in amazement at how beautiful the venue was. It helped that we transported our guests in cargo vans to the location as it takes about 40 minutes from Vail to get to Piney River Ranch.I reccomend providing transport as it gave us peace of mind that our guests got back down the mountainside safely after an evening of fun had by all.

Piney River Ranch is one of the most beautiful places in Colorado! It is very rustic and charming. Monique was super easy to work with and really knows her stuff! She is AMAZING, I can't wait for Piney to open again, just so I can go back to see her! Our wedding was so beautiful. All our friends and family are still talking about it. A lot of our guests have never been to Colorado and were blown away by the views. The food was beautifully done. I was told it was the best wedding dinner ever. I don't think there was any leftovers. The apps were a huge hit as well. As the bride, I know I ate, but I can't remember how it tasted. I know I ate everything on my plate. I didn't have that may decorations and I don't think I needed them. I loved the old wooden dinner tables and the cute church like benches for the ceremony. I just used table runners, no need for table cloths for this girl. With a few flowers, candles and chocolate rock candies, It was stunning! One of the concerns we had was transportation, because you do have to find buses for your guests if you don't want them to drive. Monique offered us a great deal on the 3 teepees (6 campers each) 3 cabins (8 guests and the bride and groom) 12 camp sites and 1 yurt that sleeps 16 party animals. Wow did that save us money and it kept the party going!! I loved the after party!! My new husband and I took a cabin, the bed was so comfortable (I actually got some sleep)! All three moose were in the lake for their breakfast when we got up. I was a little concerned about the hike to the bathroom, but all my guests loved it. It was just another picture opportunity. If this is on your list of places to get married, BOOK IT NOW!!! I can't think of a more beautiful place to get married!! You and your guests will be well taken care of and your guests will talk about your wedding for the rest of their lives! If this is not a venue on your list, PUT IT ON YOUR LIST and BOOK IT NOW! You may have a moose or an osprey diving for food while you eat your dinner. You can get beautiful wedding photos in a cute little green canoe and dance your little hart out on the dance floor. When the band or DJ pack up for the night, you can keep the party going at the Yurt. You can cook s'mores around the camp fire with all your closest friends and family, or get romantic in your own cozy cabin. Did I mention you should BOOK PINEY NOW!

The views!! This place is one of a kind! And I can't even begin to explain how amazing the Piney River Ranch staff was, leading up to my wedding and on the day of. The older reviews people are referring to was towards management that is no longer there. Monique, the GM, and who was our direct contact, was so incredible from start to finish. She took a vested interest in ensuring our day went how we wanted, and our wedding wouldn't have gone as perfect as it did without her. This venue is such a Colorado gem and our guests are still talking about our wedding day!! Thank you!!

Piney River Ranch is the perfect venue for the quintessential Colorado wedding! The backdrop is breathtaking, the fare is fantastic and the service outstanding. As a wedding planner, I look for venues that provide a unique experience for my clients. Piney fits the bill perfectly. My August wedding at Piney River Ranch was a huge success. A moose actually walked past the couple as they exchanged vows against the gorgeous vignette of Piney Lake! Other venues have views of the Gore Range. Piney River Ranch is nestled within the Gore Range. You are truly part of the mountains and away from it all. Monique, the general manager, is great at communicating and anticipating guest needs. She has assembled a great team of professionals. Piney River Ranch is a magical venue and one not to be missed when considering ceremony and reception sites!

I had the perfect wedding at Piney and much of that was in part of Monique, the new GM up there. Piney has historically had a bad rep but they brought a whole new management team in this part year and they are fabulous! Everything went off without a hitch, it is beautiful and we even had a moose there during our ceremony!

Piney River Ranch was just perfect for our mountain wedding! Our whole goal was to have beautiful photos. It did take awhile for guests to get to the ranch, but once they were there it was breathtaking and well worth the 45 minute drive from Vail. The staff at Piney River Ranch was fabulous and very accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other vendors we had looked at. I am so happy that we got married and had our reception at Piney River Ranch! It was better than I could of ever imagined!

My husband and I were married at Piney River Ranch last summer. We are Vail locals and Piney has always been a very special place for us. First let me start off by saying that our day was absolutely extraordinary. When it comes down to it, if you are marrying your best friend in front of all your closest friends and family, it WILL be the best day of your life. We chose Piney because we are outdoor enthusiasts and we wanted a unique spot that would be laid back and beautiful. From the beginning, working with Pam and Andy (the ranch managers), was a challenge. We gave our deposit prior to seeing the 2012 contract (we viewed the 2011 contract and Pam assured us that prices might increase, but only with the cost of inflation). After several emails with no response, and SIX MONTHS of effort on my part, we finally received the 2012 contract in January. The venue price had increased by 150% and the catering charge had increased by nearly 20% per plate. We had a very large wedding and this meant thousands of additional dollars that we did not budget for. After a great deal of nagging, Pam reluctantly offered to give us a $500 discount (.... gee, thanks?). I also had several looming questions about chair rentals, bar fees, etc that I wanted to hammer out prior to signing our contract. I sent these questions to Pam in a series of 5 or 6 emails without response, over the course of several months. When I finally suggested that I was not going to sign the contract until my questions were answered, Pam suggested that I was "high maintenance" and that she "demanded to be treated with respect." I assure you, as a very laid back, simple Colorado girl, I have never been called high maintenance. Finally, when we received our final invoice (THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING), it was $6000 over our estimated cost. There were additional fees for water, standard kegs were $300/piece (we never did get an answer about bar fees), and 24% tax and gratuity was tacked on to everything, including non-service related costs. The day of our wedding was absolutely outstanding (in spite of hail and downpouring rain). We were surrounded by the most amazing group of friends and family, and we couldn't have been happier. None of our tables were reserved for family or wedding party as requested, the food was ready 30 minutes late, and a bonfire was never lit (though promised by management). HOWEVER, we had an incredible time and our friends and family made it all worthwhile. If you are considering this venue for your wedding, think long and hard about how much work and added stress you are willing to put forward. Our wedding was incredibly simple and I was not too particular about anything. If you are extremely laid back and are someone who is guaranteed to have fun no matter what is thrown your way, I'd say go for it. It's absolutely beautiful and at the end of the day, you'll be married to your best friend and that's all that really matters. If you are someone who needs a little more control, this might not be the place for you :)

My now-husband and I searched all over for the perfect wedding venue. We finally found Piney River Ranch and were thrilled with the beautiful setting nestled in the mountains and rustic looking lodge. However, right from the start the customer service was horrendous. They scheduled us for a tour of the site and when we showed up there was no record of it at all. We were still able to look around because someone was there to at least show it to us. After that, we did end up falling in love with the place and put a deposit down. Definitely a mistake. After the deposit, it was impossible to get ahold of them to discuss anything, book vendors, ask questions, etc. Finally, about three or four months later I had had it. I told them we would not be using their venue and asked for our deposit back. I think the only good thing that came out of it was that we did actually get our deposit back.
