Pink Door just catered and bartended our wedding over Labor Day weekend and 100% lived up to all the stellar reviews here and elsewhere. We were told guests would be raving about the food, and they really did. Matt, Linda, and team were very easy to work with and true professionals, helping make our wedding such a wonderful day. I'd definitely recommend them to any friends and family in the future.
We had the best experience with Pink Door Catering for our summer wedding in Cape Cod. The food served was simply out of this world - the hors d'oeuvres were hands down the best we've ever tasted, with an unbelievable variety that left our guests talking about them for weeks. We had a major rainstorm pass through right before our cocktail hour, and the Pink Door team stepped into action, keeping everything running smoothly until service started for cocktail hour. They even helped wipe down the chairs before the ceremony and personally delivered a round of hors d'oeuvres and our signature cocktails during family photos. Matt and his team were so helpful during the planning process and felt like family once all was said and done. We were blown away by the quality of the food and the level of service provided by the team. If you're looking for a caterer for your next event, we highly recommend Pink Door Catering - you won't be disappointed!

Chef Rolands is the best catering on Cape Cod - no exception. Linda, Pat, Matt are all exceptional, professional, kind and the food is off the charts. We were so lucky to have them provide a full bar and catering for our wedding at a family home on Cape Cod. All our guests raved about the food, drinks, and service. BEST CATERERS EVER. We were absolutely obsessed with everything we ate at our wedding from Chef Roland. Matt was our point person and he was so relaxed and easy to work with–we felt like we'd made a friend. We were going for an elevated backyard BBQ feel and ended up with the most delicious food for dinner (burgundy-braised short ribs, piri piri mango chicken, cilantro lime roasted corn salad, homestyle cornbread, and more). Also, the passed hors d'oeuvres were INCREDIBLE. I don't even know where to start with describing them– lots of seafood with phenomenal presentation. Our guests are still talking about them and several took photos because they were so beautiful. Lastly, the desserts were to die for: mini crème brûlées, fruit push-pops, ice cream sandwiches, fresh summer fruit and more. Matt and the bartenders went out of their way to make our signature cocktails extra special - mine had a floral theme, and they even went so far as to find us edible flowers for the drinks.
The staff was incredibly professional and, once they'd identified the bride and groom, went out of their way to bring us hors d'oeuvres so that we could try everything. All of the food and labor was at a very reasonable price.
One thing that we weren't aware of when we signed on was that we had to rent a caterers tent, bussing tables, and chefs tables for them, and we had to arrange for trash/recycling disposal/pickup, so those were unexpected costs. Also, don't be fooled by Chef Roland's relaxed style of communication. Initially, I was taken aback by their laid-back attitude – I sort of had to hound them for a contract – but I think that's just the Cape Cod vibe. All of our questions were addressed at our tasting, which was so much fun and equally delicious.
Do yourself a favor and hire Chef Roland's. Best decision ever!!
My husband and I are SO happy we went with Chef Roland! Matt and Linda went above and beyond to work with us prior to the event since we lived many states away. Our guests RAVED about the food and they accommodated everyones food preferences without a single issue. They had over 10 appetizers of all different variety and were so creative with their ideas. It got to the point where our guests would seek out the servers to see what was coming out next, it was so good. Linda was incredible on the day of making sure we were always eating first and had a drink in our hands. Their staff is incredible and they are so organized! Worth every penny!
Chef Roland and his team, specifically Matt and Linda, were phenomenal. They were extremely receptive to our ideas, remained flexible to our wild venue, and built us a food and bar service that was out of this world. Immediately upon entering the cocktail hour, Linda made sure my husband I had drinks and food in hand - I heard horror stories that the couple don't get to eat on their wedding day but we ATE. The food was spectacular - absolutely everyone at the wedding commented on how good the food and drinks were, and that makes us so happy. Chef Roland's team made sure we were taken care of and that our guests had everything they wanted. Thank you!!
Absolute highest recommendation!! The food is absolutely AMAZING and Chef Matt really knows his stuff. This is not your average wedding catering. This is wedding food your guests will be talking about for months after. (Our guests are still talking about it 5 months later! And we 100% agree.) We had so many questions during the planning process and Chef Matt was extremely patient and helpful in answering them, even taking a call when he was on vacation (sorry Matt!). He crafted an entirely gluten free menu for us which was incredible! The selection of appetizers was fabulous and we chose to do micro-desserts as well which were a huge hit. Also in terms of planning, Linda was super helpful both in asking us all the questions we needed to solve in advance, and making sure everything on the day went off without a hitch. If you don't hire Chef Roland's Catering, you are missing out!
Lots of Delicious Food for the right price! From beginning to end, Pat and Matt were absolutely amazing to work with! We'd had their food before and knew without a doubt that we'd be working with them. People are still coming to us saying how amazing the apps were...and how many! We completely trusted Matt and his team to pick the apps - we gave some overall guidance but we're so glad we let them run with it. For day of, Linda was super attentive and things went extremely smooth. They handled both our food and bar. For the bar portion, they were incredibly accommodating to our requests and for that, we're so thankful. Awesome experience through and through!
Chef Roland, his wife Pat, and Chef Matt and their entire team were absolutely AMAZING!!!! I cannot say enough good things about them. Everyone at my wedding RAVED about the food. From the heavy assortment of apps, to the delicious entrees, to the dessert selection…. We were blown away! I highly recommend this team! You will not be disappointed! To start - the food is fantastic. Can tell he isn't a typical caterer that just cooks in masses to make sure everyone is fed. Second, this place knows how to work with the customer to make sure that its the right amount of food (even though their portions are massive too!), the right choices, but also making sure that you are set up to have the best event possible. Overall, can tell these people care about the customer.
Would 10 out of 10 recommend Chef Roland to anyone doing small gatherings of 6-20 as well as large venues like a wedding. Great people and great food.
I Worked For Roland for 12 plus years his food is Amazing !! Highly recommend Catering for anything to a small cocktail party to a huge wedding any gathering !! He’s awesome and his team was amazing to work for all those years 😀 enjoyed working for them met so many amazing people over the years of catering with him and his team.

We fell in love with Chef Roland the minute we met him! Down to earth, funny, kind and listened to everything we had to say. It’s not easy planning a backyard wedding during a pandemic but his team sure made it feel like it was. We could tell it meant a great deal to them to make this turn out better than we could dream up. And it did! His beautiful wife Pat and their staff were super professional, accommodating, friendly, and I knew from the start we were in great hands. Now let’s get to the food! AMAZING!!!
Tons of appetizers...scallops and bacon, lobster mac and cheese, tuna tartare, crab cakes to name a few. Everyone raved about them and then came our dinner of tenderloin and roast potatoes and delicious shrimp. It was over the top, cooked to perfection. The entire crew worked to make it all seamless and we could not have asked for anything more. Do not hesitate to hire Chef Roland, as a matter of fact, anyone would be crazy not to RUN to see if he’s available to make your party the talk of the town!

Where do I begin?! Roland, Pat and Linda are wonderful! We planned a COVID wedding in two months as our CA venue canceled on us. 3 days before the wedding, we changed the date to a day earlier. Roland and his team handled the changes with grace!
Our tasting was wonderful! The filet! Delicious!
Our guest called Roland’s team the ‘appetizer King’. They just kept coming and each one was better than the last!
The micro desserts were delicious too! We wanted a wedding cake to keep some tradition to this ‘day’ and their team still cut the cake, served and passed so many desserts without a complaint. They were right, it was A LOT of desserts! :) The chip witch and push pops were huge favorites!
I can’t say enough. This team is 5 diamonds! If I could go back, I would have only booked with Roland and his team! Thank you for all you’ve done for us! I will never forget you and your team!

Can't say enough about how happy we were with Chef Roland's food and on-site service team. Due to the pandemic, our large farm wedding turned into a much smaller backyard event, but Chef Roland's team made it memorable. Our guests talked for days about the quality -- and amount - of food. The delicious passed appetizers just kept coming and the staff made sure my daughter and I ate and had a glass of wine in our hands as we ran around for photos, etc. The lobster rolls and steak were amazing, and the passed desserts were truly to die for. Bar service and food staff were professional, friendly and accommodating -- and we got the left overs! You can't go wrong with this caterer. I highly recommend them.
My son and his fiance were supposed to get married with 170 guests on 8/8/2020 at a country club on the water. Well...then Covid happened. They made the tough decision to move their wedding to the spring of 2021. They wanted to have 8/8/20 as their anniversary date nonetheless, so decided to have a small ceremony and a reception in our backyard on Cape Cod. I had never had a catered event at our Cape house so went in search of a caterer. Several people referred us to Chef Roland's Catering. In addition to the referrals, they were also priced well compared to a few others we were considering so we decided to move forward with them. It was the best decision we could have made. Initially we were just going to do the immediate family (10 guests) and have a small, buffet style cook-out, but as time went on we ended up deciding on a plated dinner for 25 guests. Chef Roland's could not have been more flexible and accommodating. Every week we were changing something, adding something, doing away with something else. Pat, Linda and the entire team graciously went along with each change, including a full menu change twice. They came out to the house prior to the event to familiarize themselves with the space so there'd be no surprises that evening. The night of the reception could not have been better. Not only were Linda and her staff professional and courteous, they were extremely attentive to each and every guest. The bride was amazed at how they took care of her every need without her even having to ask. Most importantly, the food was PHENOMENAL! I think typically you are offered a choice of maybe 6-8 appetizers, but with Chef Roland's we had a choice of 12! Each one was more delicious than the last. The entrees (we chose the tenderloin with a spring herb sauce and chicken piccata) were DELICIOUS..both so tender and full of flavor. Pretty much every guest asked us for the name of the caterer by the end of the night. We can't thank Pat, Linda and the entire staff enough for helping to make these very strange and difficult times we are living in so special. If you are in need of a caterer, do not hesitate to contact Chef Roland's Catering..you will not be disappointed!
Chef Roland Catering absolutely made our wedding! Our wedding fell in the middle of the corona pandemic and we went through A LOT of last minute changes. Chef Roland Catering rolled with each of our changes and were incredibly accommodating at a very stressful time.
The appetizers were amazing everything was hot and delicious. the waiters were incredibly friendly and accommodating treating everyone like they were the only person in the room. We loved the dinner (chicken piccata and tenderloin with a salsa verde) Chef Roland was very accommodating in offering different sauce options for people that did not like mushrooms.
Overall the experience was fabulous we appreciate all their patience and hard work making our wedding day a delicious event!!

After our big wedding couldn’t happen, we shifted to a small family ceremony and celebration at our family home in Cape cod. Chef Roland and Patty were amazing helping us coordinate and plan our event, as well as on the day! They were even able to last minute arrive 2 hours early as we moved our event up to beat the rain, and make a last minute switch indoors after the weather ruined our outdoor plan! Everyone was so impressed with the food at the wedding. The team was extremely professional and really made it feel like a formal affair. It was also such a plus all the food could be prepared in their truck parked in the driveway. We had over 10 different passes appetizers, followed by an amazing seated meal and desserts. The service throughout the night was incredible. We would highly recommend them for any event!

This vendor is by far the best caterer on cape cod. During the crazy pandemic Chef Roland was there to help make an uncertain day be the wedding event of the year here on cape cod with 100 guest as our plan B. Our venue cancelled us in April and believe me it was a blessing! There was no way they could be presented the spread of food half as nice as Roland and his professional crew did. Everything was beautifully presented and my gust were and still are talking about all the different choices that were offered. I also know we saved money using them and used them as our bar service as well.

Chef Roland, his wife Pat, and their entire team catered my daughter's wedding and receive an A+ for all aspects of their service. I began the process by meeting at the venue with Pat to discuss my overall vision. She is a good listener and offered other good ideas. Next, I met with Roland at his kitchen where we discussed food and beverages. He offered me tastes of food that he was making for current clients for that week. These bites absolutely won me over. I confidently decided to go forward with their team. Throughout the year, I kept an email chain going with Pat to work on details. She responded in a timely fashion to all my mail. She is very easy to communicate with throughout the process. I will warn you, there is no official contract. They are a little loose in this area. This might worry you. However, I had enough people telling me that they pull off each and every wedding, so I let that worry go. Now for the big day. They delivered. As promised, their hors d'oeuvres are absolutely THE best. They serve an endless array of delights that are each visually exciting and a sumptuous treasure. Surprisingly, I did not really have a say in what would be served as appetizers. Do NOT let this worry you. This is their signature catering element and it is a giant, memorable wow for your guests. I also suggest not hurrying time-wise through the cocktail party. This is often the best part of a wedding. We had a one and half hour time allotted for the cocktail portion and guests enjoyed every minute. They also handled all our bar needs. They worked with me selecting special signature drinks. Having trays of these drinks immediately available to guests following the ceremony prevents a long line or crush at the bar. Never skimp on number of bartenders. We had three bartenders for 125 guests and it proved to be the right number for excellent service. We headed off to the dinner and the dancing tent following the cocktail reception. The dinner service was also spot on. Again, we upped the number of servers, as suggested, and it was a good decision. As a result, water glasses were filled, wine was poured and refilled often, and courses were delivered in a timely fashion. All servers presented themselves in a pleasant manner. Once again, the food was a star. We chose a salad course followed by a choice of beef, fish, or vegan. Each plate was beautiful and delicious. The salad was cold and the entrees were hot. This is not easy to do from a cook tent, but Roland has his system down. They also pass yummy mini-desserts and offer a gelato bar to accompany the cake. Again, this is a wow for guests. Overall, the entire catering effort was better than I even hoped. Most importantly, the bride and groom were ecstatic, the guests were impressed and well taken care of, and I happily wrote the checks that were definitely worth the price, which is quite fair.

Amazing food and even better service. Patty was amazing to work with everything went according to plan, she set my whole room up I didn't have to worry about hiring a wedding coordinator because I knew Patty and her team would be there to do that for me. Everyone raved about how good the food was and service was amazing as well. Their staff was super friendly going above and beyond for me.
I cannot day enough good things about Chef Roland and his team. We had a great experience with them from the first day we walked into their showroom in Mashpee, where we were offered a variety of decadent appetizers from an event the night before- at 9am on a Saturday morning! From that point on, we were hooked! Roland is an incredibly talented chef, with many unique ideas and creations. Our guests raved about the 12+ passed appetizers, as well as the tenderloin, scallops, risotto and sides. Roland’s staff is very professional and made sure everything was presented and taken care of seamlessly. I was so impressed with our whole experience and will not hesitate to call them for other catering events in the future!

Brides and grooms- don’t hesitate to call Chef Roland as you plan your big day on the Cape!! Roland, Pat, catering manager Linda, and their entire team offer the BEST quality and service for the price, and we are SO happy that we had them by our side throughout the planning process and our magical wedding weekend. I was prepared by other reviews to know that Roland operates much more casually than a standard caterer, and that was very helpful to know going into our conversations. He doesn't have a set menu, packages, or contract, but his work truly does speak for itself and I’m more than happy to add to their collection of outstanding testimonies. We were working within a tight budget and Pat was nothing short of amazing in her accommodations with us. From helping us run through our rental order with an outside rental company, to tweaking menus, to organizing workload between her staff and ourselves, we were able to create a menu and timeline that worked for everyone at a price that we could afford. And the FOOD! I knew it was delicious from our tasting, but I was not prepared for the number of people who told us during and after the wedding (and months later) that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had, some of them saying it was the best XYZ they’d ever had period! From our rehearsal dinner meal, to the variety and quantity of the hors d'oeuvres on our wedding day, the delicious salad and entrees, and the passed desserts were just hit after hit after hit. They also wrapped up our small wedding cake for us after cutting (after storing it at their home that morning- talk about above and beyond). I absolutely cannot recommend Chef Roland and his team more highly. Thank you all!

Chef Roland catered our daughter's wedding at Bourne farm in September. It was such a pleasure to work with him and his team. He provided 5 star service throughout the planning process and made sure that everything went smoothly during the reception,from the appetizers ,dinner and dessert.
And the BEST part was the food. Everyone,and I mean everyone, raved about the outstanding food . "The food at your wedding was the best I have ever had,including at a five star restaurant." I would recommend Chef Roland's to anyone. The food is absolutely amazing, pricing is reasonable, and everyone was very professional and helpful. I can't say enough about them! Highly recommend.
Chef Roland's Catering was absolutely, positively incredible. We got married in September at Bourne Farm (so, an outside wedding under a tent) and the food, service, staff, and overall experience was wonderful. My husband and I wouldn't describe ourselves as "foodies" - we like simple, classic foods, but Roland and his team did an incredible job of ensuring that the appetizers had enough "safe" options, as well as a few that really dazzled the crowd (octopus, oysters, etc). I can't even count how many guests came up to us and commented on how delicious the appetizers and main courses were. The food was served quickly, and hot. On top of that, we had a gelato bar and ice cream sandwiches for dessert - both were delicious! Roland and his staff are true professionals - they truly care about what they are serving, and are really invested in their guests to have an amazing time. They would check in on us every so often to ensure we had everything we needed. We also did our bar through Roland and his staff and that was incredible as well. I wouldn't have changed anything about the food and impeccable service that Roland and his team provided - I would recommend them to anyone - you won't be disappointed!
We have used Chef Roland’s Catering for several parties we have hosted so the first thing I did as I started wedding planning was inquire with Roland and team on their availability for September 2018. There was no way I was getting married in Falmouth without Roland. When a caterer sets your wedding date--- you know they are good! Our wedding was unique in the way that we transformed our backyard and dock area into a venue for 280 guests. With limited tables and seating, Roland had to be creative in what he served so that it could be easily consumed standing. He rose to the challenge serving 15+ different kinds of passed hors d'oeuvres, assorted salads, beef tenderloin with fingerling potatoes and an extremely unique “Cape Cod Paella” comprised of a huge variety of seafood. Like our other parties, our guests raved about Roland’s incredible food: “the hors d'oeuvres kept coming—something different every time!” “the roasted vegetables were so good I almost forgot I was eating vegetables!” “I’ve never had anything like this paella—amazing!” “I ate 4 of the delicious ice cream sandwiches—I couldn’t stop!” Just some of the comments from my guests. If you are OK with mediocre wedding food complete with 3-4 generic hors d'oeuvres and a simple main dish, Roland might not be for you. If exciting and unique dishes that will wow your guests are an important part of your wedding, then hire Roland—you will not be disappointed! Thanks Roland and team for a great experience. 9/15/18 will be a day I never forget!
Do not even consider anyone else on the Cape and Islands! We went to a wedding a few years ago with Chef Roland and literally picked our wedding date and location to be able to have them cater ours!
So not the typical stale wedding caterer, Roland serves 15+ hors d'oeuvres that are all ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, is really creative to incorporate whatever you want, makes absolutely delicious dinners and does a gelato bar and passed mini desserts as part of the package...just to illuminate we had passed icecream sandwiches, macaroons, creme brulees, fruit popsicles, and others I can't even remember because there were so many!
Chef Roland and his wife Patty are an absolute pleasure to work with - they have great ideas, are constantly updating their menu options, are totally reasonable on the cost, and overall are just the exact people you want catering your wedding. Be prepared that, unlike with many other wedding caterers, the process until the wedding date approaches is very relaxed and informal (was actually quite nice looking back on it), but don't worry - the weeks leading up to the wedding they are super engaged and organized, figuring out all the many details that are needed with plenty of time.
If you care about the food and you want people to walk away saying 'that was legitimately delicious food and definitely the best food I've ever had at a wedding' look NO further.
I can't say enough amazing things about Chef Roland and his food, he is by far the best on so many levels. His relaxed demeanor may make some nervous, but fear not, you are the best hands possible. He is so friendly and honest, has amazing direction , probably because he's been doing this a long time, but our experience couldn't have been more amazing than it was. And the food, OH MY GOD THE FOOD, to die for! My husband and I are big foodies, and I also had several chefs and restaurant owners as my wedding guests, and everyone was floored by the amazing display, and flavor of the food. I want to hire him to cook every event, and not only because the food is out of this world, but to also hang out with him, he's a great guy. You will not be disappointed by choosing Chef Roland and his wife Pam.
Chef Roland and his team catered our wedding in October 2017. People are STILL talking about the food. He presents a very high end, creative meal from endless appetizers to creative passed desserts. His catering team is a well oiled machine, very professional and fun to work with. Chef Roland also provided the bar for our wedding and it was top notch. They provided quality wines, beers, and four signature cocktails. No one went thirsty. Roland also catered our breakfast the following day and I am still dreaming about the waffles. Overall, he was a home run and a major part of why our wedding was so memorable. Highly recommend.
Chef Roland catered our wedding last weekend at the Coonamessett Farm. We were extremely happy with them! All the staff and all the food were extraordinary. Chef's Roland's catering was absolutely amazing for our wedding this past weekend. I cannot tell you the amount of people that have told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and we are less than a week past our wedding. There was about 10-15 different appetizers during cocktail hour and each one was unique and delicious, with all different flavors and combinations that were perfect. The whole menu from salad to desert was stellar - for our entrees the beef was cooked to perfection and everyone said that our seafood trio tasted like it was caught that day, everything was delicious and it was a beautiful presentation as well. For our bar, the guests were wowed by the specialty cocktails, with Moscow Mules served in copper cups and the raspberry and Prosecco drinks, all of which added to the fun and special vibe for the night. The deserts, including a gelato bar, ice cream sandwiches, and sorbet push pops were really the icing on the cake (no pun intended) and a perfect touch for the wedding, we loved how different the deserts were and how much there was to go around when usually people don't notice them at weddings. Roland and his team from Roland himself to every single server on the day of were wonderful to work with. We met with Chef Roland a couple times leading up tot he wedding and his wife Pat and Linda were absolutely amazing to work with as well. As the bride it made me so happy to have Linda there on the big day as she was extremely helpful and attentive and made sure I got all the food and drink I could possible want while running around to all my guests. We had a couple guests that had to leave early and their team packed up food for them to go, which was above and beyond and much appreciated by everyone involved. I can't say thank you enough, I can only give my whole-hearted recommendation to use Chef Roland's catering whenever you get a chance, it was the best decision we made for our wedding.

C. I had mentioned I am a vegetarian so I would like some vegetarian appetizers there were none
D. I had asked for Bernie sauce to be served with the fillet mignon there was none
F. I cannot find anyone to make me a drink so I have to go into my house and serve myself a drink
G. The seafood plate was a waste of lobster and scallops as the sauce they put on it was very fishy and tasted like he seafood soup or fish soup brother also the meet was over done

Chef Roland was at your wedding cooking, not on holiday. He had various conversations with y...
our mom and your husband (a chef) complemented him on the food.
A. The portable bathroom was placed in the space for our truck. We did park it in a different, much smaller space. Your mom was assisting us and I believe you came out to check, but no one from our company disturbed you while you were dressing. Later, your mom apologized about the confusion.
B. We do not bake wedding cakes. You may have discussed cakes with Roland-our protocol is to put you directly in touch with bakers. I first found out about this when you emailed me 2 weeks prior to wedding confirming that we were baking your cake. I immediately gave you two local bakeries to contact and one of them did your cake for you.
C. There was a variety of vegetarian hors d'oeuvres at your wedding. My staff came down to your bridal party during pictures and during all of cocktail hour offering appetizers and cocktails.
D. Roland discussed that The Bearnaise Sauce would not work well for your dinner. He finalized the menu which featured a Demi Glaze on the tenderloin with your husband three days prior to wedding.
F. The bar was staffed during the entire wedding and my manager brought you cocktails all evening.
G. I apologize that you did not like the seafood. My manager immediately replaced it with the tenderloin which you did eat. Roland does cook the tenderloin rare-medium rare, if you wished it cooked less, we would have been happy to do that.
It is my understanding that you are out of the country, if your mother would like to stop by our store, we would be happy to meet with her.
We were referred to Chef Roland by a few Falmouth locals, and it was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our guests were blown away by the menu- "that was the best food I've ever had at a wedding" was a common response of many guests. We decided to work with Chef Roland because we wanted to go with more of a Tapas style dinner. Roland was very enthusiastic about the different menu possibilities. We wanted a few dishes that had a Spanish-influence and this happened to be his specialty. Once we gave Roland our vision, he ran the show with creating an unbelievable menu that we didn't really see until the day of. We knew we could trust him to knock it out the park without a ton of direction and he did just that- the man knows what he is doing! His wife Pat and the on site coordinator, Linda, were very organized and thorough and gave us really great guidance on what types of things would work and what wouldn't. Linda was extremely attentive the day of the wedding and her friendly demeanor was very calming:) These guys are clearly some of the best professionals in town and I'm so glad we got a chance to work with them. Thank you guys for putting up with us and thank you for making our wedding truly unforgettable!
We could not have been happier that we chose Chef Roland for our August 2016 Falmouth events. Our daughter is getting married out of town in April 2017 and we began planning a Falmouth engagement weekend in early 2016. After several glowing referrals we met with Chef Roland and discussed the kind of event we wanted to have at our home. We were planning for a Sunday luncheon, fully catered and quickly learned that Chef Roland is totally flexible, has great ideas, can prepare just about everything, and is very comfortable to work with. The resulting menu was a great combination that catered to every appetite, had more than generous portions and had excellent staff and Chef support through the end. The bloody Mary bar, appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts were perfect. In addition to our catered event, we also got prepared meals for Friday and Saturday nights for a smaller group of our visitors. Again, the appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were outstanding. Our guests repeatedly complimented us on the menu, quality and quantity of what Chef Roland prepared for our entire weekend dining experience.
Regardless of the size or type of event you may be planning, Chef Roland has great experience, great suggestions and great food. We also found his prices to be reasonable and a good value.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. Hiring Chef Roland & team to cater my wedding was the absolute best decision we made. We met with Chef Roland 1 time before hiring him, and before even trying any of his food, because we loved his energy and vision. My husband and I are from NYC and we wanted a sophisticated NYC take on a cape wedding and that's exactly what he gave us. I'll start with the hors d'oeuvres which my guests still talk about constantly. There were ~15+ different hors d'oeuvres all absolutely delicious and different - from seared tuna in a cracker cone to mini lamb patties - each was memorable and so different from anything I've ever had or heard of at a wedding. Then came the dinner - the salad itself stood on its own. We had a goat cheese grilled peach summer salad.. one of the best salads I've ever had. As for the entrees, they were absolutely amazing .. we opted for seafood (lobster, scallops and cod) , steak and vegetarian and our guests RAVED about them all. I still can't believe how affordable it was to have lobster served at our wedding. For dessert we had a gelato station and passed mico desserts which were also a huge hit and way easier to eat while dancing. Chef Roland’s team was extremely attentive during the entire wedding and made sure my wedding party/family had plenty of food and water the whole day. Pat was INCREDIBLE at managing her large team, I can't say enough about their professionalism and passion. We also hired Chef Roland for our brunch the next day and the brunch was delicious - I don't know how but they made quiches, sausage and bacon exciting and different. My husband and I just want to say THANK YOU !!!

Chef Roland is absolutely amazing. When we first spoke with him, we were a little worried about how informal he is. He is different from the other caterers; he does not have set packages and he does not give formal contracts, but his word is truly his bond. Before we met with Roland, we were worried about not being able to pick every appetizer that would be served at the wedding; and then we tried his food. It was so amazing that we were immediately OK with him choosing all of the apps for the wedding, and he absolutely over delivered. We had guests offering to pay the wait staff to leave a tray of appetizers with them, that is how much our guests loved the food. Roland also ensures that there is plenty of food; servers were bringing out apps until the guests said they could not eat anymore. Then came dinner. A month after our wedding and we are still getting calls asking who our caterer was. I have never been at a wedding and tasted anything as good as the filet that Roland cooked, and have gotten multiple calls from guests who were also blown away by the fish. We even had a few guests with serious food allergies. Roland was able to accommodate those allergies and ensure that those guests could enjoy his amazing food. Do yourself a favor and book Roland. Do not be put off by the informalness, this is one vendor that you can book and know that he will exceed expectations on your wedding day. This review would also not be complete if we didn't mention both Pat and Linda. Pat was extremely responsive over email and helped us through the process, and Linda also met with us to answer our questions and was there the day of to oversee everything and make sure that the wedding ran smoothly (we also had Linda make our wedding cake and it was delicious!!). Thank you Chef Roland's Catering - you exceeded our lofty expectations and ensured our guests tasted the best wedding food that they have ever had.

Chef Roland actually came recommended to us by our officiant. He goes to a lot of weddings and especially as a vendor, the food's usually all the same to him, but he had officiated a wedding that Roland catered a week or so before we met with him and couldn't stop raving about the cocktail hour appetizers.
When we first met with Roland we were a little taken aback by how informal his process is as we were used to contracts and packages and option 1, 2 and 3, but this was nothing like that. After a half hour or so of talking to him though, we knew he was guy for the job.
He is so clearly passionate about his work and just a genuine guy, someone you'd want to hang out with even if he wasn't making you delicious food.
We met with him for the 2nd time after booking him and discussed menu ideas and tasted a few appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. We agreed on our main dish and salad option (mostly just so we could ask guests what they wanted) and gave him full creative license for the rest (appetizers and dessert assortment).
The third time we met with him was to taste even more delicious appetizers and deserts and that's when we really fell in love with Chef Roland. We met in his recently burnt down kitchen (we can't wait to see the shiny new one), and he mixed us each a literal quart sized Moscow Mule/Dark N Stormy at 10:30 am while we discussed the menu and his staff cooked up appetizers and desserts in his mobile kitchen. We couldn't believe that even having just had his business literally burn to the ground, he didn't skip a beat and was still able to take the time to meet with us and make us some out of this world food. This was our kind of guy
His wife, Pat was also a joy to work with. She was always quick to respond to e-mail and address any questions or concerns we had. She put us in touch with an amazing bar service and ran the show on the day of.
Everyone of our guests (including my dad who had one of each meal option) raved about the food, and still are. Our only complaint was that we didn't get to eat more than a few bites each of our own meals, but we got our fill of appetizers as Pat and her staff made sure to come find us and the bridal party as we took photos during cocktail hour.
Best of all, Roland and Pat will work with you to stay in your budget. The quality and quantity of food that you get for the price cannot be beat. We ended up at $65pp including endless hot appetizers (all passed), coffee and assorted desserts, and two plated entree options with a plated salad, bottled water and bread and butter.
I can't say enough good things about Roland and Pat, and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone for your wedding or any other catering needs. We will definitely be working with them again in the future for any catering needs.

Chef Roland catered our wedding on July 18th and the food could not have been more well done. We and our guests (too many compliments to count, several compared it to a five star restuarant) are beyond thrilled that we chose Chef Roland over other options. In the beginning Chef Roland asked us to trust him and it was clear that he had a passion for food (and a good party) that simply wasn't present in other caters we met. Looking back on the day both my wife and I would say that choosing Chef Roland was easily the best decision we made sans saying I do.
Chef Roland and his crew did an amazing job catering our wedding and brunch the morning after. People could not stop raving about appetizers (all 17 of them!) We had a mediterrean theme main course which was great for summer as it was lighter fare and flavors. There were also 6 or 7 different types of mini desserts instead of cake which were all gone by the end. The morning after brunch also had 6 different mini pastries, 4 types of granola, an amazing stuffed french toast and two types of quiche. There was no shortage of food during the reception or brunch the next day! Feel free to give Chef Roland the reigns - he will not disappoint!
What can I say about Chef Roland? He is just the best!! I don't think any caterer can beat his food quality, quantity and variety for the price he charges. I looked at several venues/caterer that had a much smaller menu and options and charged way more. And I bet the quality of his food is way better as well! Everything was just delicious!! And even before I tasted his food, I knew he was good based on all reviews and what I had heard from him, so I just let him do his own thing. And he did! Everyone loved his food with 14 different types of hors d'oeuvres, delicious entrees and tons of mini desserts that just makes it for a fun wedding! Chef Roland really enjoys what he does and we could definitely see his passion for cooking reflected on our wedding food. Thanks Chef Roland!!
We used Chef Roland for our casual rehearsal dinner BBQ buffet upon several recommendations. He & his staff created the perfect meal based on our preferences. It was beautiful and professionally done and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any type of event from casual to formal. The food was truly delicious. So many compliments on the food - a big deal coming from New Yorker guests who are used to fine dining.

From the plethora of hors d'oeuvres to a scrumptious gelato station for dessert, Chef Roland and his staff made our wedding night a huge success. Meeting with Chef Roland was a pleasure. His experience shines through with great recommendations and creative ways to make the night special. Our catering manager, Linda, went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. Guests raved about the variety of hors d'oeuvres, scrumptious chicken entree, and fun mudslides passed around the dance floor. And although we didn't get a chance to taste it (too busy dancin'), we heard from many family and friends that the gelato station was a big hit.
We found Roland through a family member's recommendation, and we feel very lucky that we got to work with him for our wedding. He is extremely passionate about his food, and works closely with you to put together a terrific menu. He has an enormous repertoire of different ingredients and cuisines that he cooks, and is always coming up with new dishes. He catered both our rehearsal dinner (a casual barbecue) as well as our wedding (a plated dinner), and at both events, people were literally raving about the food. His appetizers are especially excellent, and from what we hear, some guests never left his hot fish cake appetizer station. The main courses were perfectly cooked and prepared, and on top of all that, he also had a dessert smorgasbord, with a gelato bar, mudslide shots (guests loved these), passed chocolates and other small desserts. This was on top of the wedding cake! All this, and his prices are more reasonable and include much more than other caterers in the area.
If you plan to work with Roland and are not using a specific venue, consider hiring Taylor Party Rental. Roland works with Taylor frequently, and they work together to make sure everything goes smoothly.
I had my wedding at Ballymeade Country Club and I could not have asked for it to have been more perfect!!! I cannot say enough about Chef Rolands Catering! Chef Roland and his staff are amazing --- I still have people commenting about the quantity and quality of the food. The presentation was fantastic. I recommend Chef Roland without any reservation. He is, by far, the best caterer in the Cape. You will not be disappointed! My wedding was a night I will never forget, and Chef Roland had a lot to do with it!
If you're looking to WOW your guests with beyond amazing apps and entrees to die for, then Roland is your guy. From start to finish, he is totally organized, thoughtful, creative, prompt, and above all one hell of a cook! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had attended largely because of the food which was superb. He works hard to get you great deals, especially on fresh seafood, and every penny spent is well worth it. My only regret is not having enough time to eat MORE!!!

Chef Roland was a great choice for my wedding. The food was amazing, our guests are raving about everything - especially his appetizers, which are his trademark (we had 15 passed appetizers!) The prices are extremely reasonable and he will stay within your budget and still offer an incredible meal. He will especially go out of his way to create dishes they fit with your wedding theme, family backgrounds or personal tastes. When he found out we had Arabic and French backgrounds he made a few traditional dishes from our families' countries, and also made sure all our favorite foods were included in the menu. One warning is that he doesn't have email, and he is sometimes hard to get in touch with by phone, but in the end everything worked out amazingly and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any future bride.

People are still raving about the food and I’m sure they will be for a long time. Roland is a little all over the place, so if you are someone who needs to know exactly what you are going to get, he may not be right for you. He doesn’t do tastings, but believe me, whatever he makes will be phenomenal. I figured I would let him do what he does best and give him pretty much free reign and it was absolutely the right choice. He gave us TONS of passed hors d’ ouvres and the ones I tasted were SO good. We got so many complements. Also, the servers were really attentive, both to our guests (cooking a pregnant guest’s filet to well done, boxing up someone else’s who was already too full) and to me and my husband. We were walking around at dinner and they made a point to make sure we knew our food was on the table, asking us if the should serve the next course while we were up, and just making sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was that dinner took a long time. We decided to do a salad, a fish course, and a beef course, so we knew it would take a long time, so I could not blame Roland for it. Highly, highly recommend.
You can't go wrong if you choose Chef Roland's Catering. People are still talking about how great the food was, 14 passed appetizers!!! The staff was very attentive and everything was perfect!
