Meghan did an amazing job on mine and my parties makeup. I did not do i trial first and she nailed the look i wanted. She was friendly, efficient, and talented. Defiantly recommend.

Could not have asked for a better result! Natural and classic look for my wedding pictures and wedding day. I booked Pink Dot Beauty Bar through the knot after seeing photos online. I had my bridal hair and makeup done by Meg and Jamie along with my bridesmaids hair and a spray tan! Meg and Jamie worked with me until I got the exact look I wanted on my day. I got so many compliments on how beautiful my hair was!

I planned everything last minute and to say I was indecisive is an understatement! I hardly ever wear makeup or do anything with my hair. I wanted o do something special but honestly didn't have a clue... They were so helpful and really put me at ease. Couldn't have been happier!

After having been in many weddings I knew that I wanted to contract a hair and makeup company that was professional, talented, and could get all of my closest family and friends done up quickly. I cannot advocate for Pink Dot enough. They fit the bill for each and every request I had and always made it so easy to communicate while planning an out-of-town wedding. On the day of my wedding they showed up and finished 8 women's hair and makeup EARLY. When in the world does that ever happen? I will also add that I have extremely long and thick hair. It stayed up the entire night without frizz. My makeup also looked flawless with their airbrush makeup! I would recommend the Pink Dot team for any one getting married in the Charleston area.

I could not have dreamed of a better experience. Katie is a true gem! I came to her for my wedding hair and makeup trial as well as my day of services. I had high expectations and she exceeded all of them. She really took into consideration my wants and although my hair ended up not being able to do what I had in mind, the new style we went with was better than what I had originally planned. She calmed my nerves and made me feel stunning; I would pick her 100 times over!

I can’t overstate how beautiful, elegant, and glamorous the ladies of Pink Dot Beauty Bar made me feel on the best day of my life. My bridesmaids looked stunning too! Katie did our makeup and had laser focus the whole time, despite the chaos happening around her. She is a true professional and highlighted my facial features like I was about to go on a magazine photo shoot-amazing. Gigi did our hair and did an outstanding job. My hair was so shiny and stayed put all night-and I broke it down on the dance floor! They are so personable and define the phrase “grace under pressure.” I thought their pricing was reasonable for the quality that we received. I’d book with them again in a heartbeat!

A full five stars for Pink Dot Beauty Bar. Everyone raved over the bride's hair and makeup. Katie was right on time, so sweet and reassuring. Everyone's nerves were on edge preparing for the big day. She smiled, joked and set to work doing a fabulous job! She brought everything to the bridal suite at the hotel. We sat and sipped while she worked her magic. I understand now why they came so highly recommended. Dependable, talented and so fun and enthusiastic. Katie set the mood for the rest of the day and it was a magical day.

I absolutely loved working with the staff at Pink Dot! We were lucky enough to have Katie for hair and Becca for make-up. I highly recommend both women. They were extremely professional and brought their whole kit to our bridal suite at the hotel with smiles, they NEVER let on if that process was stressful for them. They tackled five bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and me all in 4 hours like it was nothing. Time flew with friendly conversation and laughs plus everyone loved the final results!

Meghan was an absolutely dream to work! Everyone left her chair feeling absolutely beautiful and confident. I have never felt so beautiful in my life, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. Katie did my makeup and accentuated all my best features and had such a calming and kind-hearted personality it was easy to relax even with all the nervous energy I had. I had a short engagement and didn't have time to do a trial run so I sent in pictures of myself and of the style of make up I like. This was risky, but on the day of she easily picked up on the look I was going for and I looked better than I could have ever imagined-Thank you Katie :)

Dear future brides, Congratulations! Seriously! While you have so many decisions to make, I hope my review will make choosing your wedding day salon that much easier. I was referred to Pink Dot by my amazing wedding planner, Rachel Hall from Elevents. Katie was our POC, and she was amazing to help coordinate the contract, timing, secure the suite, and helped with makeup the day of. She was super helpful in helping my guests and I plan additional appointments, and handling any other questions from guests! We stayed at one of my favorite hotels ever, The Meeting Street Inn, which is super convenient and only a few blocks away!! The salon is super cute, and the entire staff is helpful. Heather colored my hair a few days prior to the wedding, and did a gorgeous updo for my wedding hair. I had a chignon with a little volume on top. Very classic, and she did an amazing job! She is so nice also. I got so many compliments from her work. Becca did my makeup, and is a doll! She captured my look exactly, and was so sweet and fun to work with. We had fun! I can't thank these ladies enough for helping me look my best on such a special day! You won't regret choosing their staff to make you feel your best on your wedding day ❤️

I loved every part of my experience with the team at Pink Dot. From trial to big day, this gang made me feel so special and excited! Thoughtful little surprises seriously only added to the perfection. Rebecca and Heather nailed my hair and makeup and were so flexible with my last minute adjustments. I rented the upstairs suite for the bridesmaids to get ready on my wedding day. It was the perfect space. Heather and Becca made me feel as though we were family. They took great care of the whole bridal party and made me feel like the most beautiful bride! Heather worked absolute magic on my long thick hair and she was ahead of schedule the whole day, which helped me to stay relaxed. My bridesmaids also loved their hair and makeup with no complaints, which everyone should know is next to unheard of! I was nervous about having airbrush makeup done because I usually wear little to no makeup. Becca did a wonderful job though! My makeup was so light weight and stunning. It lasted all evening. I am so grateful that I chose Pink Dot Beauty Bar and would recommend it to all!

There is no happier Mother of the Groom than I right now. For any member of a bridal party worried whether their hair and makeup would last through the entire wedding event, let that thought go now!!! Gigi nailed my hairstyle and Becca kept assuring me the airbrush makeup she was applying would look great through the evening. I put both hair and makeup to the test with "First Look" photos in the afternoon in the hot sun and terrible humidity of Charleston followed by a ceremony in a windy courtyard and topped the day off with crazy dancing all night long. Hair and makeup still in place. I can't speak highly enough about everyone at Pink Dot. And Ladies, the room you'll enjoy for the Bridal Party hair and makeup is awesome!!! I wish I could bring Pink Dot to Boston for my next son's wedding!!!

After reading many reviews of different salons, I decided to use Pink Dot Beauty Bar and they were fantastic! Katie Kyle did a remarkable job on my hair and makeup. I opted for airbrush makeup which I had never had before. It looked flawless and she made me feel and look beautiful for my portrait session and wedding day. My bridal party also had airbrush makeup which looked phenomenal. During my trial session, I showed Katie a few pictures of the look I was going for and she went straight to work to create the look I wanted. She was spot on! Katie was extremely professional: she was on time, prepared, made great suggestions, and executed everything we wanted perfectly. I would recommend using Pink Dot Beauty Bar to any future bride.

I was married this November in beautiful Charleston, and I chose Pink Dot Beauty Bar for our big day. I was so glad that I did. They did not my hair and air brushed my makeup and it was absolute perfection! They handled multiple people in my party and coordinated to get us all finished in time with makeup and hair going at the same time. If you’re looking for the very best beautifying team in the business, look no further! As an out-of-towner – I live in CA, but had my wedding at Lowndes Grove this past September – I was worried about finding a hair and makeup team that I adored and trusted as much as the professionals I work with back home. After a trial session at Pink Dot, however, I knew I’d found the perfect team! In fact, I loved their work so much I booked them to do my hair and makeup for my Welcome Party and Rehearsal Dinner, as well! Heather’s hair expertise knows no bounds – she does up-do’s, down-do’s and everything in between with such ease and effortless vision. She did the hair of nearly all seven of my bridesmaids and they all walked out looking stunning– each with their own unique hairstyle, tailored just to them. For my hair, I always prefer it down, which can be an impossible feat in the heat and humidity of the South; however, she’s a miracle worker and was able to give my hair the perfect, big wave curls that survived the weather ALL day and night. Above everything else, she had me laughing until my cheeks hurt all weekend. During what can otherwise be such a stressful time for a Bride, her kind, nurturing and fun-loving demeanor immediately put me at ease. Becca, my makeup Queen, was equally awe-inspiring. Btwn. the travel, jet lag and overall stress of prepping for the wedding, I was worried it would be next to impossible to get my face looking fresh and rested, but Becca worked her magic and I’ve truly never felt more glamorous. She also went above and beyond to advise me on a special skincare regimen for the weekend (who knew tea bags can help with bags under your eyes?!). In addition to her makeup mastery, she is also the most adorable human being on the planet. I could have sat in her chair and played with makeup all day! The Pink Dot team became like a little family to me over my wedding weekend and I'm infinitely grateful for them!

I have mixed feeling about Pink Dot for my wedding hair and make-up. Their quality of service was great! Me and all of my bridesmaids loved our hair and make-up, and it held up great throughout the entire ceremony and reception (even with some humidity) and we got great compliments from guests. I planned to have Pink Dot come on-site to the wedding venue for hair and make-up, but after looking more in depth at the contract, I realized that they charge an additional $55 per person to come on-site (which for me added up quite quickly). So I reserved the bridal suite at Pink Dot (which is complimentary). The bridal suite was super cute and worked great for us. We organized to bring mimosas and fruit, and catered bagels to be delivered. I completed my bridal trial run 2 months in advance. During my trial run, comments were made to me by the hair stylist regarding my hair which my Mom and I both found to be quite rude. But we overlooked it thinking she was just having a bad day. With that being said, the hair stylist was quite sassy and rude to us on the day of the wedding. The last thing I wanted on my wedding day is to have someone make comments to my bridesmaids and have them on the verge of tears. I truly felt helpless as there was nothing I could do but apologize to my friends for their experience. When I was paying as much as I did for hair and make-up, I expect to be respected and have nothing negative or rude said on my wedding day. On the other hand, the make-up artist, Demi, was ahh-mazing! He was so sweet and hilarious and helped lighten the mood, and is hands-down the best make-up artist I could have ever dreamed of having for my wedding. Everyone's make-up looked absolutely stunning. So, as mentioned above, I have mixed feelings. The quality of the product was amazing! Our hair and make-up turned out great and we all loved it, but it was at the expense of having a negative experience with the hair stylist.

Megan and her team at PinkDot are absolutely AMAZING! Being in and attending many weddings I have seen many different make-up styles, and many go wrong. From my trial I knew Megan was perfect, she was so sweet and knowledgeable. She listened to exactly what I wanted and perfected the look. On the day of the wedding she did the same for all of my bridesmaids and family members, not one person was unhappy! One bridesmaid who skipped the makeup actually wanted in because she saw how awesomely natural and gorgeous everyone looked! Everyone completed their make-up with time to spare, there was never any rushing or anyone uncomfortable. I am SO glad I found and chose PinkDot for my wedding day. Photos cannot even do justice for the skill and talent Megan and her team has! Definitely use PinkDot for your big day, you will not be disappointed!

Pink Dot is such an adorable place right in downtown. I did my trial about a month before the wedding and it turned out great. The makeup artist, Becky, did an AWESOME job and even made changes on the fly no problem when I asked her to lighten up my eyes a bit. She nailed it and replicated the same look the day of. Heather did my hair and did a fantastic job--she interpreted everything I had described to her --including hiding my ears since I am self-conscious about them --even though I didn't have very fine/thin hair. She was fantastic and did it in a short amount of time. I would recommend these ladies for their expertise (Becky-makeup, Heather-Hair). The only complaint I have is regarding the multiple changes that occurred near my wedding. Heather, the hair stylist, was to do both of my sister’s hair. About 3 days before the wedding, I was provided a timeline that showed a change in the schedule where the make-up artist, Becky, would be doing both of their hair AFTER my makeup was complete. This extended my time in the salon and I didn’t feel this time was best optimized and was a bit concerned since I expected (as the emails/ confirmation schedule showed) their hair to be done while I was getting my makeup completed. I called and spoke with someone at the salon immediately and they confirmed the last-minute changes but assured it wouldn’t take long since it was a “Simple-Do” and shouldn’t take long. On the day of, my hair was done first (20 minutes) and then I moved to the makeup chair for about an hour. It was then disclosed that the hair stylist would need to go to an on-location wedding and wouldn’t have time for my sisters’ hair (which made sense why they assigned my make-up artist). Although Becky was awesome with make-up (it is clearly her gift), hair was not something she did every day in the salon. My sisters’ “Simple Dos” took longer than I could have expected. We were delayed getting to the venue and were rushed since one sister had to have hers redone and it was a struggle just to curl and pin. I barely had time to unpack decorations before my husband was on his way to the venue and I was trapped in my suite unable to help prepare for my wedding. I also had to redo the other sister’s hair before I had time to get dressed and relax. We would have arrived sooner if we thought 3 hairstyles would take over 3 hours. I feel this is a reflection of the management/ coordination rather than the artists themselves—they did fantastic at what they are at the salon doing day-in and day-out. My constructive criticisms would be to clearly communicate any changes in advance to the bride and be honest about those changes. Though they were accommodating up until the wedding, I cannot help but feel “less-than” on my day because my day, booked well in advanced- was trumped by an on-location wedding.

I cannot say enough positive things about Pink Dot Beauty Bar and their staff. Meghan and Heather made me look and feel like a princess for my trial run on my hair and makeup for my upcoming wedding. I highly recommend calling Pink Dot for any of your beauty needs! Hands down the best in Charleston.

I found Pink Dot Beauty Bar online and immediately emailed them about my bridal make up for my wedding, got an email back very prompt and proceeded with scheduling a trial run. Such a great location right downtown and the staff is extremely friendly and I felt very comfortable from the get-go. I loved everything about my trial run, so we booked them ASAP! They travelled to my venue to do my hair/make up and my mother and sister's hair/make up. I couldn't have been happier with my decision - it was everything I wanted and more! It was a pleasure working with them and truly enjoyed getting to know the Pink Dot Beauty Bar staff and our hair/make up artist.

My mom and I stopped into pink dot one day to check it out while running wedding planning errands and everyone in the store was so helpful. I ended up setting up a trial run for bridal portraits and I couldn't have been happier with how my makeup turned out. I wanted a natural look but with airbrush makeup so that it would stay on in the heat and that's exactly what I got. My makeup didn't budge or smear in the 90 something degree heat of charleston while taking pictures outside. My mom and I both had our makeup done for the day of and it turned out great. Dancing (and sweating) the night away in August heat with no make up problems and final pictures looking just as great as the first ones. They even gave me some samples to get rid of any problems that popped up before the big day and they worked great! We had our makeup done on location, which made everything so much easier. They gave us a few extra containers of touch up makeup which I thought was fantastic, but we didn't even need it because the initial application stayed on so well. Planning a destination wedding in Charleston and locating a makeup artist that met my specific criteria was a worry of mine. However, while searching for reception venues I happened to walk into the shop and sparked up a conversation with Demi. He assured me that I need not worry anymore and he was right. During my consultation he transformed me into a different person so I knew I would look fabulous on my wedding day. Demi's services on my wedding day were SPECTACULAR!!!!!
