I brought my wedding dress to Pins & Needles for alterations for my wedding in April of this year. When I brought my dress to Christina for my first fitting, we discovered a major problem with my dress. Christina was fabulous though! She gave me her opinion and said that she would still be able to alter it. Thankfully I was able to get a new dress but it took a few weeks and Christina was not able to start alterations on my dress until less than one month before my wedding. She fit me into her schedule and did an absolutely amazing job on my dress! I was so, so happy with it and it fit me perfectly. Christina is extremely knowledgeable and skilled and I felt completely secure with her. She was also very sweet, patient and wonderful to work with. Your dress (or anything else you need tailored) will be in very good hands with Christina!!
Christina at Pins & Needles altered my wedding dress after being recommended to them by my bridal salon (Marry & Tux bridal! ) and did a fantastic job! There was a lot to alter on my dress, particularly the top, since I am short (4’8”) and it was beaded. She took her time and made sure it was a princess dress that I was going to be comfortable in all night long. She explained everything she was doing to me and was very personable. Her booking process was very easy and smooth and she did a great job steaming the dress and veil before packing it up for me. Owner Christina Alpuche has over 25 years experience working in the bridal industry. For six years she worked with the prestigious L. H. Rogers of Salem, Massachusetts until L. H. Rogers moved to Newbury Street in Boston. Not wanting to drive the commute Christina joined Lorraine Roy's Bridal shop in Danvers, Massachusetts. Christina was not only the in-house seamestress for Lorraine Roy but she also worked in sales. Christina worked for Lorraine Roy for 18 years until she opened Pins and Needles in Danvers, Massachusetts in 2008.
