For the past two and a half months I have sat and tried to summarize this amazing experience I’ve had but couldn’t. Raquita is amazing. I know she has coined the title as photographer but she extends herself waaaaayyyyy past that title. She has a welcoming personality so you’re comfortable with her from jump. I came across her in a group where she introduced herself to the group. The passion she had in her introduction was enough for me to know instantly she was it for my wedding. Shortly after we met and that confirmed what I already knew. Anyway back to the good stuff. I’m not a person who likes to be hounded down and sent a million emails. I’m simple and straight to the point. She picked right up on that and didn’t bother me unless it was important things she needed to know. This was very much appreciated. On the day of my wedding she arrived on time and ready to work. (I was late lol). My wedding party loved her. She was at our service. Every little minor thing we needed she took care of it like water and such. Raquita shoots weddings often so things we weren’t so sure about she chipped in and offered excellent suggestions. I trusted her advice and never second guessed anything she suggested. My officiant was late so we didn’t have as much time to shoot off site pics but she said she had another location that would shoot beautifully and man was she on point with it. I have gotten soooo many compliments about our pictures. Not only that but she was by herself for this event and the angles she got you would think there were two photographers. She is sooooo good at what she does that she captured pictures of my father smiling and he never smiles for pictures. This woman is a beast with her camera. After the wedding was over and done I didn’t bother her I clearly read the contract and understood the time line so when she contacted me and said pics were done and ready to review I was shocked. I met with her a few days later and we put together my wedding album. She said expect up 8 weeks. I’m like no biggie. Guess what? The album was back in a week. Now this may not be typical because this isn’t peak wedding time so I wouldn’t hold her to that but in my case it worked out great! I can’t thabk Raquita enough for the amazing experience and great conversations. You will not be disappointed with her if you choose her as your photographer for anything. She is very professional and amazing with that camera of hers. You can’t go wrong with her.

Raquita is all around fantastic. She’s equally skilled in the portrait shots as she is in the journalistic style, capturing the events as they happen. She not only took the most amazing photos of our wedding day, but her presence was such an integral part of the event. Her personality is effervescent and comes through in all that she does, from the first appointment to the albums. My best friend told me that she could FEEL my laughter by looking at the photos of me captured from the day. I can’t thank you enough, Raquita!

I was immediately put at ease when I found Raquita. A few of my friends had used her and a couple said they wish they had, and I am so glad we did. She was realistic about what a winter wedding meant as far as timeline was concerned. She thought of everything. She checked sunset and weather all the time and she was happy to let me send her all my pinterest boards and was so excited about my ideas. I loved her energy and spirit and my pictures were everything that I wanted them to be. She honored my requests to not post the wedding until I wanted to with grace. At every turn she was concerned about me and what I was going through, even though I know she had a rough winter herself. Raquita is a gem and you should hire her right away.

Raquita was an outstanding help to me on my wedding day, she was thoughtful and fun and was great at helping me stay calm. I loved her party attitude which was right on time during the reception and she was wonderfully present for me all day. Her team was great, we had two photographers and he was super cool and casual. They worked really well together. You cannot make a better choice for your day than Pinxit.

Many of our pictures turned out good. That’s about the only positive thing I have to say about our experience with Pinxit. We picked this company because we met the owner, Raquita, at a wedding show and both loved her personality. We thought it was a good fit. Throughout the planning process and trying to get our engagement shoot completed, we noticed a steady pattern of poor communication and preparation. She was late to the majority of our meetings, and didn’t respond to emails/texts within her the appropriate timeframe laid out by her in the paperwork. At that time, I sent her an email expressing our concerns about these things. She apologized and promised she’d do better. For our engagement shoot, she’d forgotten one of her cameras she needed and we had to wait while she ran by her house to get it. When we had our meeting to view our engagement photos, she had forgotten to submit something in order to view them, and we had to wait at the studio while she went home to do it. I shouldn’t have been surprised when things didn’t go the way we planned out with her for the big day. We had 3 photographers there, yet multiple moments and shots were missed. We have no pictures of 2 of the ushers walking anyone in, 1 of whom is the bride’s brother. In fact, there is no picture of the bride’s brother with the groom at all, even though they snapped individual pictures of every other guy in the wedding with the groom. We have very few pictures of of the groomsmen getting ready and none of them waiting to walk down the aisle. Raquita asked to be included on our party bus to take photos. There were no photos given to us from the party bus. At the reception, Raquita was on her cell phone and taking live video for her personal Facebook page. We had discussed taking extended family pictures at the reception instead of the church, and those did not happen. No pictures with any aunts, uncles, cousins. Had we known they wouldn’t be taken at the reception, we would have pushed for them at the church. We have no pictures at all of the Mother of the Bride or Father of the Groom from the reception at all. We had discussed with Raquita that there would be an anniversary dance that would end with the Groom’s grandparents dancing alone to celebrate 62 years of marriage. We have no pictures of that. Both the Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom were EXTREMELY disappointed when we got our pictures back. I can not recommend Pinxit Photography to future couples.

If you want the best engagement/wedding/event photographer, then look no further. Hiring Raquita and her team was a no brainer for us. We'd seen her in action at a friend's wedding a few years ago and fell in love with her work. We booked her for video and photography. She makes you feel like family from day one and took care of us on our wedding day. She captures details and expressions that would have gone missed by just having 1 photographer. The highlight clip movie of the entire wedding is amazing and something we look at often and will continue to treasure every anniversary, Her pictures of our wedding were even featured in St. Louis Bride magazine 2017! (We had the bomb winter wedding at the St. Louis Science Center-in the Omnimax) Raquita is an artist. She has a fantastic way of capturing the special attributes of you and your spouse and uses her camera to tell your story. We are forever grateful for her work. Thirty seconds on the website and we knew we’d found our photographer! Raquita is an artist. She will tell the story of your day and capture the sheer happiness. She has a knack for finding the person with the most joy or emotion in that very moment. She literally disappears while shooting the ceremony and the results are unbelievable. Our ceremony was in a very small space and she got shots from the most amazing angles. Once the reception started, she was everywhere and our guests thought she was the best. Raquita is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is responsive, listens to what you’re looking for, coordination of the day was a breeze and she stayed with us until the very end of the night. Pinxit was the right choice for us for our wedding and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an artistic photography style for their wedding or event. We LOVE Raquita! Our first meeting with her was well over 2 and a half hours - we were having such a blast just hanging out and talking weddings. She knew just the spot for our cute ice-cream shop themed engagement photos and we are so obsessed with them! When it comes to getting what you ask for and getting your money's worth...Raquita is the person for the job. She has a way of taking your vision and making it her own. Our wedding day was awesome and she captured every moment beautifully. We wanted our pics to look like the photographer was actually in the party and Raquita delivered...BIG TIME. Most of the time when you think of a wedding photographer, you expect someone to just show up and take pictures but Raquita was much more than that. From our first consultation before we even booked, you could tell that she really makes it a point to form a relationship with her clients. We were more than year away from our wedding but she let us know then we were in good hands. At our engagement shoot, she knew the perfect places to take us and her editing skills are ON POINT. She makes you look flawless in photos while still looking like you. We were extremely comfortable with her and she doesn't have you very posy but gives you instructions on how to interact and those always great the most beautiful and genuine photos. Then on our wedding day, not only was she there to photograph the day but since she's a wedding pro, she was able to assist with details of things we didn't even think of. She helped me to get into my dress, kept me calm, helped when my bustle popped and much much more. So far we've only seen a few sneak peaks of our photos but I know 100% they're going to be spectacular. I'm so glad we booked with her and if you're looking for a photographer where your money will be well spent and have someone that actually cares about you as a person then Pinxit is the way to go.

Choosing a photographer for your wedding or special event is no easy feat. Not only do you need to love the persons eye for photography but you also need to feel comfortable having this person in your personal space, guiding you through one of the most exciting (and sometimes stressful) days of your life. My husband and I found this in Raquita. She's ridiculously down to earth, has an incredible since of humor and is an amazing photographer! There aren't enough great words to describe how wonderful an experience I had with Pinxit and Raquita Henderson. She listened so carefully to what we wanted and the spontaneous shots she took were amazing. I enjoyed how she used the natural light, which was a request of ours, and sent me photos in a timely fashion, allowed me to get them printed at the best cost, and followed up with me. What to say about our experience. Words cannot describe the tremendous dedication, passion, and love of what Riquita pours into her work. She will make you look fantastic! My wife is very fair skinned, and during the editing process she created a tone for touch up. But that's just the service you're paying for. What she includes is much more than taking photos. Keeping the day moving, keeping the bride calm, families in check, I'm sure she moonlights as a lion tamer. We interviewed many photographers however none had the level of personality and spirit. Very personable, professional, and fun! Look no further!

I can't say enough great things about Raquita! She has a gift! Not only is she an excellent photographer, but she also has a way of calming nerves and bringing everyone together. From start to finish Raquita at Pinxit was a dream come true. I found Raquita stalking friends photos and I knew immediately she was going to be able to give us a different experience from any other photog I found. So many pictures I looked at could have all been the same wedding, just different colored dresses and different faces. Raquita's images, though, showed individuality and personality. Raquita was amazing!!!! From the first time I talked to her on the phone to the the follow up three days later because I am an airhead, she was amazing, patient, down to earth, and you could just tell she loves people and being a photog. During the whole process from face to face meet and greet through the whole process to the day of our wedding Raquita was the best. Her creativity and eye for photos really showed through, we have some of the best color popping photos of our wedding. Can not wait to do our first year anniversary photos with her.

Raquita, owner of Pinxit Photo is amazing. We had a nightmare situation unfold just weeks before our wedding. My dad hired a guy to do our photography. Dad gave him a down-payment & we never heard from him again. He took my parent's wedding gift to us & ran. To make matters worse, we had a long wedding day planned: me & my party getting ready at 9 in South County, my husband & groomsmen at our house in Maryland Heights, a noon ceremony at the Jewel Box, a party bus to take us and our party to Dave & Busters and a carnival, followed by a reception at 6:30 pm. I scrambled, desperately attending bridal shows (not my thing), only to have photographer after photographer react as though I had suggested they eat their own arm. Then we met Raquita. When I told her what I was looking for, the look on her face did me in. She was excited. Pumped. Her excitement was contagious & she made us excited. Her portfolio was brilliant. She captured her clients genuinely. I could see their personalities through her pictures. Look, there is a difference between someone taking pictures of a wedding & someone documenting you & your loved ones as they are on the day of your wedding. Raquita knows how to show that. Lucky for us, someone had cancelled their wedding so she was available. She immediately scheduled us to come over to her beautiful studio. I refuse to tell you all about that experience other than it was a blast and, well, wonderful. You deserve that pleasure unspoiled by me. Days later (I'm telling you, it was close to our date), she shot engagement pics. She told us how to pick outfits that would work the best, and she had my makeup and hair done. Our engagement pictures were put into a guest book for us to use, which also gave people the opportunity to see them on our big day. I consulted Raquita on far more than my photos, too. I asked her if I needed to spend a fortune on the expensive HD Makeup the lady at Sephora insisted I needed (you don't) and she showed me her arsenal of wedding day supplies. Those cool "wedding emergency" things you see all over Pinterest? Tell your maids to quit wasting their time. Yeah, she's got that covered. Freaking out two days before the wedding? She picks up the phone. OK. For the actual wedding day, she met me in SoCo and sent her second photographer to shoot the guys. She started at 8 am and never quit until late into the evening. Our photos are fantastic. I think she managed to get a picture of every single guest. She captured moments I didn't think anyone else, much less my photographer, had noticed. She also wasn't super intrusive - she got lots of candid shots -exactly what we wanted. Again, capturing our loved ones as they are in the moments of our big day, not just "at" our wedding or reception. The photos are stunning. I know I keep using "stunning" as a descriptive word, but really, it's fitting. Reader, I know you've heard it before, but it's true: you're not going to remember half of it. The day whizzes by and before you know it, it's over. The pictures we have are, by far, our most cherished part of our wedding day. It was worth every single penny. If I can offer two pieces of advice to anyone planning a wedding, it's this: 1. Spend more money on your pictures than anything else, if possible. This will help keep the rest of your costs down while ensuring that you have put your money where it counts - the memories. 2. Hire Raquita and Pinxit Photo. I met with several photographers and I had three things I was looking for. 1. Was this the photographer's main job, not just a habby. 2. Did the personality mesh well with mine: professional yet extremely personal. 3. Reasonable price. Needless to say, pinxit photography exceeded my standards and was amazing all the way from our first meeting to designing my wedding album. Pinxit photo made my wedding experience the best! From the moment I started my day until the reception I was very impressed by the professionalism of everyone from the company!
