Sitting on the edge of Lake Erie, Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center is truly a beautiful place for your special day! From day one our experienced staff will work directly with you to ensure all your questions, hopes, and dreams are fulfilled! Not only do we have several reception sites on the grounds, but we also have multiple ceremony locations too! The chapel for wedding ceremony can seat up to 300 guests. Seating more than 250 guests, Wendt Shelter sits perfectly along the edge of camp, completely covered overtop and sided with a wall of windows looking out over Lake Erie. For our early Spring and winter weddings, Pioneer is also fortunate enough to have Hickman Hall, a beautiful building, seating around 175 guests, overlooking the deck and water. ny, cocktail hour, reception, and post wedding day brunch. We also had almost 100 guests staying at camp Friday to Sunday. They set up/took down everything for each event and handled all the vendors, which allowed us and our families to really enjoy spending time together celebrating. All of our guests loved everything. I can’t thank Kali and camp pioneer enough for such a memorable and enjoyable weekend.
