e to work with. I gave her a “vision” for my makeup and she was spot on (I didn’t even do a makeup trial!). Julie and her assistant managed to get all of my bridesmaids (I had 12!), 4 flower girls, the mother of the bride and myself done with time to do a touch up on all of us! They came to the Omni William Penn on the day of the wedding and brought all of their supplies with them. I could not have asked for a better make up stylist and would strongly recommend Julie to any bride in the Pittsburgh area who wants a wonderful experience.

My daughter had a "trial" makeup session at her studio where she gave great tips and suggestions. She arrived at our venue the day of wedding and everything went flawlessly with mothers, bridesmaids and most of all the bride. She was such a professional and very patient with the wedding morning jitters of the girls and moms. The application of the makeup process went so smoothly and the looks of the makeup on everyone was beautiful. Her talents are fabulous.

for that day. She had previously done my makeup for my sister-in-law's wedding and I absolutely loved it! I was able to schedule a trial with Julie before the wedding and bring in some ideas from Pinterest, where else, to show Julie what I was hoping to accomplish. She came onsite to my wedding venue and brought an assistant to help get myself, my 6 bridesmaids, my mother, and mother-in-law ready for the big day. My mother-in-law never wears makeup and Julie made sure to make her feel comfortable and natural. I especially liked that she started with my makeup and then moved on to the other girls allowing me time to get my hair done and spend time with the girls before finishing the rest of it before pictures. It was perfect! She gave each one of us a little container with what she had done for our lips and applicators so that we could reapply throughout the day as needed. My girls really appreciated that idea! Both times I have worked with Julie she has been phenomenal and I highly recommend using her for your special day whether you're new to makeup or wear it everyday, Julie will have you looking absolutely amazing for your special day.

She puts the makeup on lightly/more natural and then adds more dependent upon the look you are trying to achieve. I feel like this was a wonderful application process because I knew I was never going to have too much and could add/change things as I wanted too-- Julie was very patient and willing to add/change whatever to help me achieve the vision I had. All in all I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful makeup artist!

Julie worked hard during my trial appointment to talk about a look with me and to browse through a few photos to figure out my ideal makeup style, and took lots of photos after the application so that she could review them with me to talk about any changes I wanted for the big day. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early at our bridal suite and set up shop quickly. She made the changes we talked about, taking her time to perfect my look, and had me check in the mirror so I could ask for any final additions. I adored my makeup, and no exaggeration: I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life! My mom also had Julie apply her makeup, and her reviews were just as glowing. My mother and sister also got their makeup done by her and loved it! My wedding was in August and it was hot, but my makeup stayed put all day. I received SO MANY compliments on it how gorgeous I was! I felt like a princess!! The compliments I received were absolutely priceless and I cannot thank Julie enough!!

located out of state prior to my wedding and was not able to schedule a makeup trial, but Julie made me feel so comfortable and absolutely did everything just how I wanted it. She made me feel very at ease and reassured me that no matter what, she will adjust my makeup to be exactly how I envision it. Throughout the morning, she was very accommodating to adapting my look to be absolutely perfect. She and her assistant were very efficient and were able to make ten people look GORGEOUS in a short amount of time, including set up and take down, despite it being very early in the morning! Everyone's makeup stayed on all day long- in fact, my favorite photo of my makeup actually occurred at 10:00pm, about 13 hours after application! She is so easy to get along with and all of my girls raved about how amazing she is. I am so happy that I chose Pittsburgh Makeup because she made me feel so beautiful :) I would choose her again in a heartbeat.

orresponded with Julie, Pittsburgh Makeup owner, in the winter/spring of 2012 for my November wedding. She was absolutely wonderful to work with from that moment forward. I first met her in June when she did my makeup for our engagement photos. She also did my fiance with the "mens' makeup" since he has somewhat oily skin and didn't want to be shiny for photos. I LOVED my makeup so much that I went back to Julie's studio in September for a makeup lesson. Julie is truly talented and absolutely loves what she does! The entire bridal party looked GORGEOUS for our November 9th wedding. The bride, mother of the bride, and aunt of the bride all did the airbrushing. The bridesmaids and mother of the groom all did traditional makeup. It truly lasted all day on everyone! We had to have the makeup done relatively early in the day because of doing photos before the ceremony. It didn't make one bit of difference. The makeup still looked amazing come 11pm! My maid of honor loved Julie's work so much that she is going to schedule a makeup lesson the next time she is visiting Pittsburgh! Pittsburgh Makeup will not disappoint!

I could not recommend anyone better than Julie. Not only does she do amazing work, but she is kind and fun throughout the whole expeirence and really listens to what you want. as beautiful as I have ever seen them look. I had airbrush make up as the bride and she made my face look like it belonged to a porcelain doll. When I saw my wedding picture proofs, I had to ask if they were already retouched that is how amazing my skin looked. Julie is sweet, kind, friendly and hardworking. She wants every wedding she does to be the best work she has ever done. I know this because my family loved Julie and her work so much that we had her come back and do my sisters wedding in July of 2011. If you are looking for a make up artist for your wedding Julie is the only way to go in the Pittsburgh area!

She also stayed about 45 minutes after everyone was done to wait for my photographer so that we could get some 'getting ready' shots. That was totally unnecessary but so kind! She took my look to the next level without caking the makeup on and making me feel uncomfortable. I decided to go with the airbrushing and would recommend that to any and everyone! It was so light and the coverage was great. Let's put it this way, I was so happy with her work that I went back a few months later to have a makeup lesson so that I could hopefully recreate her skill. I'm still working on it, but she definitely taught me a thing or two! If you are looking for an amazing makeup artist for your wedding day, you should definitely hire Julie. She asked specific questions and truly listened when I explained how I wanted to look on the day-of. She did a phenomenal job on our large bridal party the morning of the wedding, and was not flustered at all when plans and schedules changed. She made everyone feel so beautiful and relaxed, and it was great to be pampered for the morning. I felt like she made everyone look like elegant versions of themselves. All of my bridesmaids were thrilled with their makeup, and so was I. Julie is a gracious person, and her work is phenomenal. You can't go wrong by choosing her for your big day! It made my skin look flawless, and lasted the whole day and into the next morning, without being heavy or cakey at all. It felt like I didn't have any makeup on!
