nce was fantastic, from the planning stages to the day of the event. The entire staff was so nice and attentive, and they truly went above and beyond for us. The star of the show was the Food and Beverage team. They were simply outstanding! Our guests are still complimenting the food from the cocktail hour and raving about the buffet dinner. We had so many people tell us that the beef was the best they had ever had at a wedding, period. The staff managing the drinks and service were attentive and professional all night. Every staff member we encountered was kind and attentive. The team that assisted with our ceremony helped everything go perfectly smoothly. The bartenders, both at the main hotel bar and for our private event in the ballroom, were wonderful and kept our guests happy. The hotel even gave us an incredible last-minute surprise. Due to a cancellation, they offered us the entire ballroom at no additional cost, which was such a generous and unexpected bonus that they absolutely did not have to do! We were so grateful. On top of that, we found the all-in cost to be very reasonable for the quality. We even received a discount for booking and holding our event within the same calendar year, which was a huge help to our budget. Our wedding coordinator was gracious and very helpful in navigating all the decisions we had to make. While it sometimes took a little while to get a response, we understood she was busy with other couples and she always came through for us. The only minor note is that the hotel rooms were in decent condition, but could use a little TLC here and there—nothing at all egregious, and our guests were comfortable. Overall, if you're looking for a wedding venue, we truly and wholeheartedly recommend the Pittsburgh Marriott North. They delivered an amazing experience for us and our guests!

Right from the start, she made us feel welcomed and assured us that we would be able to shape our wedding into exactly what we were hoping for. Our wedding actually exceeded our hopes and expectations. The Marriott took care of so much for us, which enabled us to leave our stress behind and have the night of our lives, celebrating with friends and family. We also need to acknowledge the lead staff for the day of the event (Kalyn and Lexie). They were available to us and provided all that we needed for our reception. We could not be happier with how things turned out. We strongly recommend the Pittsburgh Marriott North to anyone looking for a reception venue!

She worked with us every step of the way to make sure the day was as perfect as it could be. The meetings we had in person with her were extremely helpful. The menu selection was all delicious, and our guests have repeatedly told us how amazing the food was! The team made sure we were prepared for our wedding during our rehearsal. When it came to the wedding day, everything looked beautiful and tasted great. There were no hiccups on the Marriott’s end, and the team executed a whole ballroom flip successfully during cocktail hour while working around us taking some photos with family. Michaella was even kind enough to drop by the reception to make sure everything was going smoothly. The Marriott provided a bar with fast and polite service on both ends of the ballroom and beautifully displayed our massive cookie table towards the entrance. Our wedding experience was great, a 10/10 for the whole team at the Pittsburgh Marriott North!

They made our special weekend even better with their professionalism and care.

re team was professional, kind, and incredibly organized. In particular, Michaella Roth, the catering sales manager, was top of the line. She worked with us for over 13 months and made the entire planning process smooth, manageable, and even enjoyable. Her attention to detail and responsiveness up until the wedding day helped make our big day everything we hoped for and more. The Marriott team is clearly experienced with large weddings – we had around 230 guests, and everything was executed flawlessly. The day off staff (led by Kalyn and Lexie) was joyful, helpful, and efficient, handling the setup and flow of the event beautifully, as well as checking in with my key points of contact as the evening went on. The food and drink were fantastic, and the brand new dance floor gave all of our guests space to dance all night long. What made this venue even more special was how easy they made coordinating with all our vendors and our vendors’ familiarity with the space and the Marriott team - this included our DJ, photographer, videographer, linens, lighting, florist, cake, and even the Pittsburgh-famous cookie table. As the bride, it made me confident when I heard my other vendors saying “Oh yes, I’ve worked with Michaella and the Marriott team before. Your event will go on without a hitch!” Their experience working with top-tier professionals really showed. One of the biggest perks was having hotel rooms on-site for our out-of-town guests, which made logistics simple and room blocks stress-free. Plus, the venue is conveniently located right off of 79 so is a quick drive from most churches and Pittsburgh ceremony locations. This made the transition between ceremony and reception seamless for our guests. We truly could not have asked for a better venue or a better team. If you’re looking for a place that combines professionalism, experience and warmth, the Pittsburgh Marriott North is it. I highly recommend them to any future bride and groom planning their dream wedding!

The staff at the Marriott helped with managing all the vendors (DJ, cake, entertainment, etc.) and made sure they were well taken care of as well. We decided to do a welcome reception for our guests the night before and the restaurant and bar staff couldn't have been better. All the guests were very impressed. This has to be the #1 location for planning a wedding.

We simply dropped off all our décor ahead of time, and the staff took care of everything—setting it up and then handling the teardown at the end of the night. All we had to do Sunday was pack everything up in our cars. The ballroom was huge, with plenty of space for our guests to dance and celebrate. The food was outstanding, from cocktail hour to dinner—our guests raved about it! The service was top-notch, with the staff making sure everything ran smoothly. Another huge highlight was having a farewell breakfast in the hotel the next morning. It was such a wonderful way to wrap up the weekend, giving us extra time to spend with our family and friends before everyone headed home. Plus, the convenience of having a hotel onsite made everything so easy for our guests. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding service, amazing food, and a stress-free planning experience, we highly recommend Pittsburgh Marriott North. Our wedding day (and entire weekend) was truly perfect, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!

booked in June of 23 for an Oct. 24 wedding and suites were already sold out. Sharon was very responsive to our requests and flexible to last minute changes due to weather related challenges. We had the hotel also provide food for the bridal party getting ready and for the bar after the wedding . All of the staff we interfaced with were very responsive and helpful. Just be sure you understand the service charges added to your food bills as that did add a significant amount of cost. Overall our guests seem pleased with the hotel and its proximity to so much shopping and restaurants in Cranberry . That was a nice added perk!

he past five years and are beautiful and updated. The wedding planning and banquet staff was great – friendly, accommodating, and experienced. They were able to anticipate and meet all of our needs. We worked with Michaella for our planning and she was very professional, responsive, and really cared about the quality of our event. She even showed up at our reception to make sure that everything was running smoothly. The food was delicious and our guests felt very comfortable and had a good time the entire night. The Marriott is a great place to hold your wedding celebration!

concern which we can explain at the end of this review. Michaella, our wedding coordinator gets 10 stars. So does the team that assisted her throughout the process and on the day of. Everyone at the Marriott, from the front desk representatives to the servers the night of the reception are so friendly and pleasant. They give their best effort and you can see it. We were concerned in the beginning that we would do all the preparation through Michaella but not have her there to carry out the plan the day of the reception. But she and the team work so hand in hand that everything unfolded smoothly on the wedding day. In the planning Michaella was always prompt in answering questions, she was thorough, and when an inquiry required some looking into, it never took her long to get an answer. She worked easily with other vendors we brought into the preparation. She gave us great confidence that our wedding celebration would be perfect. She is incredibly efficient and professional and a great communicator. We appreciated opportunities the team made for us to get a look at a couple other wedding set ups before our wedding to help us envision what ours might look like and what we might want to do the same or different. The room set up the day of the event was organized and well done. The food was delicious, it was hot, the presentation was top notch and the meals were efficiently served. The servers went above and beyond intending to our 190 guests. The team was just as efficient in organizing all our things that were left over at the end of the night and in setting aside florals, cookies, etc for us to easily collect the next day. Our only negative comment that costs a star regarding our guests' safety involved the dance floor. We had a crowd that really liked to dance and the dance floor was always full. We learned the dance floor the night of the wedding was a relatively new one and on repeated occasions throughout the evening the floor separated such that women in heels were catching their heels between the sections of the floor that opened. As mother of the bride I left the dance floor twice to seek help in moving the floor sections back together to avoid a guest getting injured. On a third occasion our son, a groomsman got down on his hands and knees and pushed the floor back together. A couple weeks before the wedding we saw the dance floor with an uneven wood square and called it to Michaella's attention and she mentioned she saw it too and merely tapped it back into place with her foot. We provided Michaella with a video of guests trying to avoid the opening crack in the floor while dancing at the wedding so we trust the Marriott will be making the necessary fix. All in all Michaella and the hard working, diligent Marriott Team gave us a wonderful wedding memory for our bride and groom and their families that we treasure with gratitude.

se of the amount of rooms booked, they gave us a suite (2 bathrooms, 1 living room, 1 bedroom) for a huge discount AND one night free – it was the PERFECT space for all the girls to get ready in and have hair and makeup done. Or original plan was to have our after party at the bar-restaurant in the lobby, but pandemic restrictions kept it from staying open and limited capacity. Things worked out better than expected because they held two private boardrooms with mini kitchens for free and for the entire weekend! We preordered food to be delivered Saturday night, and setup all the supplies we brought so they were ready when we got there after the wedding – we kept the party going until morning. The space and the hotel were absolutely perfect for everything we needed!

Also, the food was amazing - from the appetizers at cocktail hour to the reception entrees! We received countless compliments from our guests about the food and the overall reception. We are very grateful we chose Pittsburgh Marriott North for our special day.

From the initial contract signing, the food/cake tasting, countless general questions over email/phone, our Friday evening gathering at the hotel bar, cocktail hour, the reception, and all the way to brunch over at the Courtyard on Sunday, everything went off without a hitch. The set-up was beautiful, the Marriott preferred florist and bakery did a phenomenal job, and the Marriott event staff were extremely attentive. Our guests all said it was one of their favorite weddings. My only wish out of this entire experience is that the weekend would have lasted longer!!! P.S. If you have your ceremony and/or reception here, but sure to have your Marriott Rewards number on file, as you can put the points you earn on your event spending towards your honeymoon.

wonderful to have trusted florists and bakeries provided as part of the package. We rented the entire ball room with about 170 guests and the space was absolutely beautiful. The staff was so attentive to our needs the day of the wedding and I cannot say enough great things about their professionalism and thoughtfulness. The food was absolutely incredible from the appetizers, soup, salad, filet with crab stuffed shrimp, and Prantls wedding cake. They plated our cookies for us and did such a great job. Our guests were raving about the food, service, and staff and couldn’t say enough great things about the reception. We are incredibly thankful to the Marriott and all of their staff that helped make our day beyond perfect!!

ng, Emily was kind, patient, and quick to answer any questions we had. I had MANY different ideas and she was always welcoming and offered her opinions and solutions on how to make them happen. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I felt like I was emailing her every day with different questions and even throughout the entire planning process she was always quick to respond and never made it seem like I was burdening her. Her responses were always detailed and she made sure to completely answer each one of my questions. My husband and I drew diagrams and made lists on how things should be setup that day, but with Joe as our day-of coordinator, we had NOTHING to worry about. He was extremely organized and detail-oriented and everything was setup just as we had envisioned. On top of all of that, we had many compliments from our guests on the food (it was delicious!), the service, and the entire evening. We had around 300 guests and needed the entire ballroom. There was plenty of space for people to move around and not feel cramped. We also held a brunch at the Marriott the next morning with around 80 guests. Emily had no problem reserving a smaller section of the ballroom which worked out perfectly. Our day could not have been more perfect and we cannot thank the Marriott staff enough. We HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couple looking for a location for their wedding.

Emily's advice was spot on when it came to room decor and timing. Perhaps most importantly, the Marriott did not nickle-and-dime us like many venues do. There were no hidden fees or surprises. They made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our day/night. I highly recommend them. We are very pleased!

riott North had a Saturday in September available. From the very beginning, Emily Stas was excellent!! She was extremely responsive, provided guidance, and kept us on track through the whole planning process. As we neared the day of, Emily and the entire staff at the Marriott were amazing. Joe kept the whole night flowing perfectly, keeping us informed of the status of the ceremony and reception starting. Melissa was attentive and on her game! We had a number of people tell us afterwards how wonderful the staff was--noticing things that we, as the bride and groom, did not. The room was beautiful and having everything taken care for us so we could just enjoy the night was the best! On top of all of that, the food was delicious--tons of compliments on this as well! This was easily one of the best and easiest decisions we made after looking at a couple different locations within Pittsburgh. I can't speak highly enough for this venue and if you are looking for a location, check them out!!

Days before the wedding, I met with Emily and Joe (on-site coordinator), and together we went over every detail of the wedding day. They are very good at what they do, and because of them I was relaxed going into the wedding and confident that the staff had everything covered. On the day of the wedding, everything went extremely smoothly. The guests had a great time and loved the food. I would highly recommend others to check this place out.

I wish I personally got to eat more , if only we had more time :) ...but the guests raved about it !! Some even said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Everyone continued to tell me after how good it was and they were still full the next day from eating so much !! I truly can't say enough nice things about the Marriott. I am so happy we had or wedding there and would recommend everyone to go there!!

Everything was wonderful - we had food catered in for breakfast and lunch while getting ready and the Marriott was there if we needed anything else. The uplighting was absolutely gorgeous and the food was amazing. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests!

isits leading up to the big day. The room was set up exactly as we had envisioned and they even gave the bridal party a sneak peak of the room before all the guests entered for the reception. The drinks were plentiful, the service was friendly and responsive and the food was good. My only complaint, if it was a complaint, was that the cake was cleared too quickly. Everyone is always torn between dancing and eating cake at the reception and your place is typically cleared before you have a chance to polish off your dessert! Regardless, our wedding went off exactly as we had envisioned and the Marriott staff made it seamless and easy on my husband and me.

We first met with Emily, the main coordinator in January 2016 and from that booking date up until the reception, the entire process was easy (I know that describing wedding planning as "easy" seems crazy, but that's truly what it was). Emily is extremely well-organized and personable which makes working with her so great. She would check in with us regularly to make sure she was up-to-date on any and all details, she made sure to schedule meetings with us, set up our tasting, make sure our cake and centerpiece vendors were contacting us/doing their jobs, and it was very obvious that she genuinely wanted it to be the best day for us. The rest of the Marriott event staff, led by Joe, was exactly the same: courteous, competent, pleasant, eager to assist, and kind. They set up the hall and our decorations exactly how we asked and made sure that we, our parents, and all of our guests were happy with the experience throughout the night. We will DEFINITELY be recommending this venue to all who are looking. They helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Thank you to Emily, Joe, and the rest of the Marriott staff for everything that you did for us. We loved our reception and are truly grateful for the services that you provided! Thank you!!
