rt, she was super responsive and upfront with her contract, expectations, and price. She answered all of my questions ASAP and kept in communication with me throughout the process. She arrived early on the day of my wedding and we were able to get some amazing shots of my wedding party getting ready. Her second shooter and photo assistant were also friendly and easy to work with. Our photos are coming back, and I'm totally in love with them. Pixie may hear from me again in a few years for baby photos! She is a dream and I'm so happy she was there to capture our special day.

She can make you look like a movie star in her photos, and also catch the good time moment,too. We had so much fun time during all party. Try to book her as early as you can, because the good one always sold out early~!

e. She did in one hour what we set out to accomplish in two. Please, for those who are familiar with wedding day schedules, know that this is a huge break we got. In addition, she really knew how to pose us, and our wedding part,y in a manner that made us look better than we expected. She captured the essence of our wedding day. Viewing the photos reminded us of the fun we really had during the event. Not the stress. She is professional and responsible, delivered on agreed terms and deadlines. We heard from friends and relatives how some photographers don't deliver on what they say or put on paper. She is not one of those people. We would recommend her to all our friends and family members. As a matter of fact, some our friends may be using some our wedding photos of them as their engagement photos later. She was that good.

st we knew we would have to get married…again. After deciding on a steampunk themed wedding and requiring all our guests to come in costume, we knew the photographer would be the most important decision to be made, so we contacted Pixie. From the first moment of contact we knew there was no one else we wanted to shoot our wedding. She was so enthusiastic and such a pleasure to work with from that first moment, making herself affordable to us, and traveling from LA to Portland to shoot our wedding in the Rose Garden. Pixie told us that she hadn’t shot many queer weddings before, but we just knew that Pixie would be able to capture the essence of our relationship as well as the staging of our themed party. She did both magnificently! She was everywhere and saw everything! A couple of weeks before the wedding, she had emailed to tell us that she had a feeling that we would need a second shooter so she was providing one without charge. Wow, talk about pre-cognition! While Pixie was shooting behind-the-scene shots and capturing the amazing steampunk makeup and outfits of the wedding party, the second shooter took portraits and candids of our guests, who really went all out in their costumes. Our staged wedding had lots of props, which we were attempting to set up on a very windy summer solstice when Pixie and her assistant arrived. They were so excited to see everything we were putting out and when the guests started arriving there was plenty for them to photograph. Pixie accompanied us to the nearby cottage we had rented for the bridal party preparation place, and when she found out that we had only slept for 3 hours and hadn’t eaten a thing all day, she launched into “Jewish mother mode.” While having my makeup applied, she was feeding me fruit that she prepared! Oh she is truly a Pixie! Because of a snafu with the make-up airbrush and the earlier issue of the wind, the wedding was running behind schedule, but Pixie was completely unfazed and undeterred. She found the most adorable locations in the neighborhood and took amazing photos of the wedding party, including me. After treating me like a bride, giving me encouragement and making me feel really good about myself and my special day, Pixie took phenomenal photos of me in my more traditional groom-wear. I have never been a very photogenic person, but Pixie flattered me in ways I wouldn’t have thought were possible. During the service, the pictures Pixie took were nothing short of inspired. She understood everything about the staging of the ceremony and the seating on an intuitive level. Despite being sick herself from an allergic reaction to the rose garden, Pixie didn’t miss a single moment or shot. Then when we saw the final, edited gallery we were so thrilled to see that all the magic of the wedding was so clearly represented in the photos. One of our friends even purchased photos from the gallery before Pixie had finished loading them! From start to finish working with Pixie has been a truly outstanding experience and we feel honored to have the opportunity to work with her. She has clearly been an accomplished fantasy photographer and has quite the eye for weddings, and now she should also be lauded for her “queer eye for the wedding guy.”

Initially, my fiancé and I were only planning on doing wedding photos with her, but after the enthusiasm she showed during our meeting, we were both excited to book her for an engagement shoot as well. Since he and I are both a little camera shy, we thought this would be good practice for the big day. So glad we did that! Turns out, we needed the practice, but luckily for us, Pixie walked us through everything and both the engagement photos and wedding photos turned out beautifully. Pixie was so energetic throughout both shoots. We did feel a bit rushed for the pre wedding shoot - enough so that unfortunately the wedding party didn't have time to grab their flowers (we got the flowers in many other pictures during and after the ceremony) - but I don't know if that's because of the unforeseen traffic that caused her to be a few minutes late or simply because that's how weddings tend to work. After that, though, everything fell into place and Pixie did a wonderful job keeping us on track and capturing our beautiful day. Even though she was heavily booked with other weddings (she even had one the next morning several hundred miles away), Pixie made it a priority to edit our photos and get them back to us in a timely fashion. She also made it easy for guests and family who couldn't make it to the wedding to order prints online. e our small ceremony feel like a diamond Jubilee. She captured such wonderful moments of my son walking me down the aisle. I loved getting the updates from her and a teaser of a few pictures before the final product was delivered. Her timeframe was pretty exact. I wasn't waiting forever to receive pictures. And it was really great to get a disk with pictures for us separate from pictures I can post online. It makes it really easy. All in all I thought she was wonderful I plan on using her for maternity pictures as well as baby pictures.

she'll make you look your best ever, even when your hat is falling off, or you forget your vows completely, or everything else in the wedding seems to be going wrong, your photos will go right, and all you'll remember when you look through your wedding day photos is how Pixie captured everything you imagined. For details, she was incredibly professional, organized, and on-time (even when we weren't, and we're so sorry!), and she made both our engagement photos and our wedding photos fun even when we were exhausted. She also made sure to communicate with us in the ways that worked best with our time and needs, which is always so welcome, especially when things are as hectic as they were surrounding our wedding. My wife and I couldn't possibly recommend her more, especially if you want someone offbeat, quirky, fun, and ready to accommodate your completely untraditional style with enthusiasm. Wedding day: She was on time, and spot on in getting all our shots, including family and friends. She was very supportive, as you might expect. She worked tirelessly and efficiently to make sure we got our sunset shots in before sundown. Her work was so outstanding that several of our guests commented on her professionalism and approach. After the wedding: The proof is in the pudding, the pictures came out as gorgeous and timeless masterpieces. The sunset shots which she so energetically worked to help us get was the crowning joy of a remarkable photo shoot. She was also provided post-wedding support, she’s literally an email away on any questions and requests we have had. This says a lot about her that she continues to offer support long after the last wedding flowers have been removed. Alas, it’s not possible to talk about Pixie Photography without talking about Pixie herself. As you might have gleaned from the review so far, her work is stellar. In addition, she is truly wonderful person with lots of joyous, positive energy. She is disciplined, courteous and a spectacular delight to work with. Without a doubt, Pixie exceeded our (high) expectations and we offer our strong recommendation of her photography service without any reservation whatsoever.

Pixie is great at giving direction and letting people know what to do to look good on film-good at keeping them from getting stale or being full of forced smiles. For some people it may take a moment to get used to having such valuable verbal information immediately available during the shoot- but when she lets you check out the image it becomes clear she is leading you with precision and vision in mind- and that your collection of images will be better off for it. She was also great at capturing natural moments as they occurred and harnessed the true magic in each individual. The collection that was given to us after they were edited is UNBELIEVABLE! Pixie's artistic strides and ever changing perfect placement around the event allowed her to beautifully suspend our wedding in time for us. I could not recommend anyone more prepared to archive one of the most special days of your life.
