Working with Mia and LaRon has truly been one of the best parts of our wedding planning journey. I say “working” because being around them feels more like spending time with friends—it’s just that much fun. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at ease. We met Mia and LaRon at a Bridal Show, and while there were many photographers and videographers there, Mia’s photography immediately stood out to us with its vibrant, sharp colors and stunning, unique angles that captured moments in ways we never would have thought to see. We knew right away that they would bring that same energy and artistry to our wedding photos in San Diego, and they delivered beyond our expectations! Our wedding photos are some of the most beautiful images we’ve ever seen; each one feels like a piece of art. We used PKA photography for our engagement and wedding photos. LaRon and Mia provided excellent service and created beautiful memories of our special day. Their turn around time was extremely fast, and we were able to receive all of our RAW images right away after our photo sessions. We greatly appreciated this, since we were eager to see our photos, and many photographers make people wait weeks-months to see their images. They also got our edited images back to us quickly. Mia and LaRon went above and beyond with their customer service, and provided us with photo albums out of the kindness of their hearts to give our grandparents since they couldn’t come to our wedding due to health reasons. PKA Photography were incredible for our wedding! We had a very last minute elopement, so we were honestly just hoping for basic services. But happy to say we got exceptional instead. Mia and LaRon helped us go through the ceremony timeline, what vibe we were looking for, and some simple directions that would improve photo quality (like going slow and enjoying the moment!!). Any special request we hit them with was well received and accommodated for. Communication was quick and transparent. The price was highly competitive compared to other photographers we talked to and we actually got even more services than expected in the end. And the end results were spectacular—they really captured the magic of the day. It was difficult to pick our 20 favorites to get retouched out of all the beautiful photos, and we particularly loved the video edit. The editing process took a few rounds to get what we were going for, but they were patient throughout the process and helped achieve our vision. The only minor "critique" I can think of was that it was sometimes hard to follow the photographers' direction on the day of, but it was at Sunset Cliffs on a loud windy day, so not on them at all. I would wholeheartedly recommend PKA be it wedding photos or otherwise

Our elopement photo session with Mia was absolutely fantastic. Mia and the PKA team were absolutely fantastic photographers for our wedding! We did an outdoor courthouse wedding at the downtown San Diego waterfront park followed by dinner at a local restaurant. We had over 80 guests with us and from start to finish our event was about 6 hours long. Mia knew all of the ins and out of the courthouse process, and was constantly guiding us with great poses and locations for shots. When it came time to do group photographs, she kept the crowd upbeat with her enthusiasm and knocked it out of the park with getting everyone photographed! PKA photography was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding day. We then went to take photos in Balboa Park's cactus garden, and Nafas and LaRon took beautiful photos, were super considerate and very patient with posing and guidance, and made us feel very comfortable! The photos came out amazing, and we are so excited for the video! And the reception. oh my gosh the reception. LaRon and Mia were somehow everywhere at all times and took awesome photos of so many things we didn't get to witness ourselves! They were thorough, they were kind, and they were EVERYWHERE. They took such care in getting the photos done and we could not appreciate them more. Turnaround time for our photos was also very quick! We had the unedited photos available to us within two days, and our first round of edited photos less than two weeks after. They have been so so amazing, from beginning to end, for any events or moments we want photographed, we will be coming to PKA.

Wow! I started by reaching out to PKA and speaking with Mia. Mia is the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet. She let my then fiancé, his mom, and I come over to meet her and her husband LaRon and see some of their work in person. They even offered additional services like helping to find a wedding dress or officiate! We had our engagement photo shoot with the two of them. Both of us feel fairly awkward and nervous in front of a camera and Mia guided us every step of the way. The photos turned out AMAZING. The day of our wedding we had both Mia and Nafas. Nafas is equally as kind and sweet as Mia. They are both so skilled in their craft and interacted with guests and family wonderfully. We got multiple sneak peak photos within 48 hours of the wedding and let me tell you... STUNNING!!! I cannot wait until the rest of them are retouched! I just had to be difficult. They strongly suggested at least two photographers to be able to cover my >100 guest wedding. I said no, I only wanted one. I wanted minimal interference in my ceremony, I wanted to enjoy the moments in my wedding without worrying about how well I was posing or guests being distracted by too many photographers or not being able to see because there videographer was trying to get a good close up shot. I didn’t want a videographer, and I didn’t want to pay extra for a million retouched photos. I really mostly wanted the raw images of candid photos. With PKA Photography I was able to choose exactly what I wanted and could tailor the package down to it without any guilt or overselling. My photographer, Mia, was WORKING! She had an unending amount of energy it seemed, she caught all the special moments, she was flexible with us as we are a chaotic couple, and she made it work! I love my wedding photos so much, I often find myself looking through them and feeling like I’ll start crying. She knew who my family members were, she knew who to capture. She quickly assessed my personality as a bride and fulfilled my expectations of my wedding photographer perfectly. She was also extremely understanding and helpful when I was EGREGIOUSLY slow to tell her which photos I wanted retouched, and they came out amazing. Thank you for everything! PKA was such an incredible company to have found! I reached out to them via theknot.com; as you know, there are many companies to chose from, but what really pulled me towards PKA, along with a beautiful Instagram page, was photography along with videography. I really wanted a video and that was worth more to me than eight hours of photography. LaRon and Nafas were an incredible team! Very knowledgeable, very kind, stress-free, they were a joy to have be there. And their work was incredible. Mia has been a pleasure since day 1 to work with. We love our pictures! We love our video!
