I should have done my research before hiring Planned Spontaneity because it turned out being the biggest mistake and regret of my wedding. The team she hired to set up the venue wa...
s clearly inexperienced and even made comments to my family members saying, “I’m not sure what to do I’ve never done this before.“ Time was severely mismanaged and the coordinator/owner was visibly overwhelmed. Marilee does not care whether or not you are happy with her services.
After the wedding, I tried contacting Marilee privately to express my dissatisfaction and try and find a compromise on the amount she billed us for (which she was unwilling to give any details or itemization of her invoice) and she ended up ignoring my emails. She took no accountability, was disrespectful and made rude comments about my wedding, and showed no willingness to compromise…she never apologized and immediately was defensive and threatened legal action. After trying to contact her 3 times and being ignored, she filed with small claims. The judgement ended up being dismissed.
After having such a horrible experience and doing more research, I found out the business was dissolved in 2014 and is no longer legally operating under its LLC.
Marilee was an absolute lifesaver during the wedding planning process -- she answered every question and did her very best to accommodate our wishes, even for things that were non-...
traditional! She really put us both at ease and saved us a TON of stress. Plus, she's such a sweetheart and an absolute delight to work with!
Marilee was my day-of wedding coordinator. On the wedding day, she was a life saver at my homemade wedding (where my siblings and family did everything from catering to decoration...
s and DJ'ing). She fixed glitches, filled holes, and freed my family to enjoy my day with me, despite their responsibilities - a primary concern of mine! In addition, the package included a couple meetings where I could brainstorm my ideas/planning and utilize her experience and network for my wedding - this was invaluable. She hired staff, gave brilliant recommendations and reality checks (very helpfully and diplomatically), and made everything better! I'm SO glad I invested in her! She's worth every penny! Many of my guests said it was the most relaxed wedding they've ever attended, with the focus on the very happy couple! Without her involvement, my wedding would not have been the relaxed, smooth, and fun event it was!
