tion with her. She was on top of all the details. We walked away from the first meeting thinking, “wow, there are a lot of moving parts, but she has it all down”. Sue recommended other vendors (DJ, Florist, Cake, and Officiant) that were very affordable and they all did a great job as well. That made our planning process very smooth and stress-free.
Day of the Wedding: Everything was set up when we arrived. Zach was the Maitre D' for the evening. He made the ceremony and reception as seamless as it could be. He was incredibly helpful and always around if we had questions or needed ANYthing. I mean that when I say that- because he was getting drinks for our wedding party as we were taking photos. Zach kept us on schedule the whole night without being pushy. He has a very hard job and he did extraordinary!
The food was great! All of our guests were raving about it. Thank you to chef and wait staff for all of your hard work.
The bartenders were friendly, funny, and responsive. There were no drink lines, which is a wonderful thing! A lot of guests were telling me how awesome the bartenders were.

** I'm not sure how many brides or grooms can say they've felt that way. Sue was fantastic to meet with and plan out the menu, timeline, and details of the day. She stayed within our budget and it was still a magical day. Our guests loved the food and couldn't get over how much food there was. The food displays are phenomenal! Their staff was excellent. e simple things. Every meeting I had with Sue was stressful as she was not flexible with anything. The only good thing I will say about the place is it is beautiful and the guests loved it. Behind the scenes, it was way more of a hassle than it should've been. I head that many people this year have had problems with them. They do have a bridal suite which is very nice but they only wanted me to use it for 10 minutes! I let them know that I was going to be there an hour before the ceremony because I didn't want to run into any guests. Sue then said I would have to shorten my reception time (mind you all we did was stand around and get pictures in the bridal suite and we paid 300 dollars to use it)! $300 for 10 minutes? I don't think so. They also made a big deal in a meeting that all of the wedding party would be ID for the bar. So I made sure they all brought their ID's with them and of course they were never checked! If I could go back, I would not have used this venue. Any bride who is paying that much money for 1 day should not have to be hassled every time there was a conversation with the owners. Ridiculous.

ut the staff. While they were excellent on the wedding day, it was sometimes a struggle during the planning process.
BE AWARE: the staff will not decorate or set-up for you. We had to have a friend come three hours early to decorate the gazebo, set-up the tables and much more. Our friend even had to bring her own ladder as the plantation would not provide one. She also had to transport all of the decorations that morning, as they do not allow storage of items post wedding day.
Other complaint, make sure to take good notes of everything you discuss. We meet a few times with Sue and at one meeting she would say one thing and the next she would counteract it. For example: items she had said would not be charged, were charged.
