He did show up and take pictures (which is the important part), but e did not do much posing and definitely doesn't have an eye for how the people in the photo should look. When taking pictures of the groomsmen, he didn't notice that they were all positioned differently and I had to point out that they needed to be uniform. He said "wow, you're good". Having an assistant would definitely benefit him in being able to spot things that need to be changed as well as making sure that he captured everything on my shot/picture list that I provided before the wedding. After the wedding, it was extremely difficult to get a response from him. I would text and email and it would be more than a week before I heard back (even though I could see read receipts that he read my texts). The pictures were okay quality. In hindsight, I would've paid a few hundred more dollars for a more professional photographer and better quality photos. For brides on a budget, he is an okay option, but you can probably find someone else for around the same price. Like they say...you get what you pay for.

before the ceremony, Dax met us with a smile, gave us all the necessary instructions and remained calm and professional, giving us enough time to get ready. He managed to take great bridal pictures, bride and groom and even some group pictures before the ceremony. He was probably the only vendor at our wedding who did everything that was expected from him even before we thought it had to be done by him. We never had to ask or remind him to do anything. When I asked him a couple of things, it turned out he already did it earlier. Moreover, he has always been there to help us in the moments when we were not sure what to do according to the wedding traditions and procedures (there were some little details we forgot to think of during our hectic preparations for the wedding). Dax took wonderful pictures at the ceremony, and did not miss the most important moments. He also captured all the important moments during the reception. The retouched digital pictures were provided for our review just in a couple of weeks after the wedding. We are now in the process of giving our feedback to him in order for him to finalize our pictures. We are very happy with his work overall. A perfect value for the price!

I felt like he was taking forever getting the pictures ready, and there was some miscommunication about the album- we actually had to pay more out of pocket for it. It was a little frustrating, to say the least. BUT, the pictures are great! They are treasures, and he did a good job.
