He had a great voice and was clear to understand which I appreciated because I'm Deaf with a Cochlear. I really liked how the company had a website where we could input songs to play and set up what we wanted to play during certain times of the night. There were a couple flubs- saying a wrong name, not doing a part of the song for the father, daughter dance that I asked for etc. but in the grand scheme of things, he was great! We're all human and make mistakes but they were mistakes that we noticed.

Every transition was seamless, every song perfectly timed, and the dance floor was never empty. Our guests are still raving about how fun the reception was, and we know that’s thanks in huge part to DJ Apollo’s incredible skill and instinct. DJ Apollo also handled all the announcements and MC duties with such charm and ease, keeping everything on schedule without ever feeling intrusive. It was like having a close friend behind the booth who just happened to be a total pro. He made sure we were taken care of the entire night, bringing us food, drinks, and calming our nerves. He truly went above and beyond! If you’re looking for a DJ who’s not only talented but also deeply passionate about making your event unforgettable, look no further. He kept us and the rest of the wedding party stress free and ready to tear up the floor, not missing a beat when it came to the ceremony music and our cocktail hour. And the RECEPTION: I knew I was gonna be dancing more than usual, but this man clearly knows what he's doing because it was hard to keep us off the floor long enough to rest! Tony Sierra was our DJ, and he was great, we met at our venue the month of the wedding and walked through where we wanted the DJ to be and where we needed music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. He asked us useful questions and we started a shareable document so we could collaborate on music and timelines, as well as linking song examples and specific versions of what we wanted for our first dances and other parts of the night. He made all the timeline announcements just how we wanted and made the night really fun and stress free for us which was awesome plus their prices are extremely competitive. I highly recommend talking with Platinum DJ if you need a DJ for any event, I am glad we did.

Being a DJ is one part communication, two parts being a music connoisseur, and three parts being down for whatever. If we had to go back and replan an entire wedding (it gives me PTSD thinking about it), we would keep a few things the same; one of which is the DJ. He was empathetic to our musical desires, kind to the older generation in the audience, and patient when we were slow to respond due to the undertaking of planning the entire event ourselves. It's fairly cliche to say, but it is also not an overstatement in the least, that DJ Apollo helped make our wedding reception the greatest night of our life. DJ Apollo (aka, Mike) had our trust from our first consultation to our final dance. If you're reading this, DJ Apollo, I hope you know how much we appreciate you offering us your skillset that night. The planning process was smooth and Mike followed a process for making sure that all the details were covered. night long thanks to Tony’s remarkable ability to read the vibe of the room and play exactly the right song that everyone wanted to dance to. We are a Latino American couple and had a lot of Salvadoran and Mexican guests alongside our American guests, and Tony made everybody feel right at home. He transitioned fluidly between English and Spanish while making announcements, and he also struck a wonderful balance between genres, e.g. playing both “Suavemente” and “Mr. Brightside” at different points in the night (our guests specifically complimented this!). We did some traditional Mexican activities during the reception (la vibora and the groom toss) and Tony was super on top of the music and timing for those. He was incredibly professional throughout the whole process; I particularly appreciated the care he took to get all the details right by sending us a very thorough questionnaire. He was also just a super chill person—easy to work with and fun to have around on the wedding day! We could not have asked for a better DJ! Thank you for making our wedding night unforgettable!

Mike did it all, and we were so happy with how he MC'd our reception, as well as DJ'd for the dancing portion of the night. Sooooo many of our guests afterwards said that it was the best wedding reception they've been to, and specifically called out Mike as being the BEST wedding DJ they've experienced, and we couldn't agree more!! I was feeling anxious about how things would run the day-of our wedding, however Mike met with us twice and was so organized I knew he'd handle the flow of things once the reception started, so I was no longer worrying as our wedding date approached. During the reception he checked on us frequently, even got us more drinks or water, and he made the evening flow so smoothly, even though it was jam-packed with so many fun activities! I seriously couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience, and I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Apollo for anyone's event!!

I feel like we couldn't have gotten partnered up with a better fit of our vibe/wedding. He was super professional but very personable and heard us out on any questions/suggestions/comments we had. He was incredibly communicative, and was super flexible when we bumped around our timeline the day before the wedding. At the wedding itself, he was incredibly helpful, checked in with us constantly, and matched the vibes that we wanted perfectly. He checked in with us on when we wanted to make the change to explict rap (our favorite genre) and also personally walked around and released tables for dinner since we opted for no table numbers/seating arrangements. He was incredibly kind, personable, and overall just such a cool person through the whole process. He had us feel relaxed and we are both super duper thankful for him!
