We hired Platinum DJ for our wedding and they were so great and easy to work with! Brad was our DJ and he absolutely nailed it! He was our favorite vendor to work with and made everything so fun!

Tony was an excellent DJ, he helped make our special day feel great, he rolled with some last minute changes, felt out the vibe of the crowd, and some pretty decent transitions and cuts throughout the night.

Mike was an amazing and absolutely essential part of our wedding, not just on the day of, but in making sure that we felt prepared, heard, and covered all of our bases in the lead up to the big day. Mike has an infectious energy and always brought a great attitude to planning sessions. The day itself went incredibly smoothly, and Mike with his preparation and energy MC’ing the night was a major reason why. Would recommend him to anyone, 10 times out of 10!

Tony was an absolute joy to work with. He is so full of joy- and he brought that energy throughout our entire wedding day. He executed our “vibe” for music perfectly, and we were all over the place with what we wanted- so that is really saying something! His timing on music, and special moments was perfect, and we had people on the dance floor until the absolute last second. 10000/10 cannot recommend enough.

There are countless wedding DJ options, and it was difficult to figure out who to choose for our wedding. We wanted to choose someone who had a good understanding of how timelines run and was on our side when picking out what type of music we wanted for each part of the evening. We reached out to Platinum DJ (PlatinumDJkc.com), and they were responsive and accommodating, which made us feel good and after talking with them we made the decision. Tony Sierra was our DJ, and he was great, we met at our venue the month of the wedding and walked through where we wanted the DJ to be and where we needed music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. He asked us useful questions and we started a shareable document so we could collaborate on music and timelines, as well as linking song examples and specific versions of what we wanted for our first dances and other parts of the night. He made all the timeline announcements just how we wanted and made the night really fun and stress free for us which was awesome plus their prices are extremely competitive. I highly recommend talking with Platinum DJ if you need a DJ for any event, I am glad we did.

As my wife and I learned over the course of the last year, the currency of trust is worth its weight in gold. For those of you in the midst of family meetings deciding what flowers you want, what table cloth fabric best matches the wedding color scheme, and who sits next to who (more like Game of Thrones), let us save you a good deal of time and effort when it comes to selecting a DJ. Being a DJ is one part communication, two parts being a music connoisseur, and three parts being down for whatever. If we had to go back and replan an entire wedding (it gives me PTSD thinking about it), we would keep a few things the same; one of which is the DJ. He was empathetic to our musical desires, kind to the older generation in the audience, and patient when we were slow to respond due to the undertaking of planning the entire event ourselves. It's fairly cliche to say, but it is also not an overstatement in the least, that DJ Apollo helped make our wedding reception the greatest night of our life. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience than we had with DJ Apollo (Mike) from Platinum DJ. From the very first meeting, Mike was energetic about making sure we had the best wedding DJ experience. You can tell that Mike is passionate about his craft and he's excited about making sure that couples have the best experience at their weddings. The planning process was smooth and Mike followed a process for making sure that all the details were covered. Our wedding night music was exceptional, and Mike make sure that the events flowed smoothly throughout the night. He made sure that our timeline was spot on. Having gone to several weddings in the last few years, my husband and I know that the DJ can make or break the party. And DJ Tony absolutely made it! Our dancefloor was POPPIN all night long thanks to Tony’s remarkable ability to read the vibe of the room and play exactly the right song that everyone wanted to dance to. We are a Latino American couple and had a lot of Salvadoran and Mexican guests alongside our American guests, and Tony made everybody feel right at home. He transitioned fluidly between English and Spanish while making announcements, and he also struck a wonderful balance between genres, e.g. playing both “Suavemente” and “Mr. Brightside” at different points in the night (our guests specifically complimented this!). We did some traditional Mexican activities during the reception (la vibora and the groom toss) and Tony was super on top of the music and timing for those. He was incredibly professional throughout the whole process; I particularly appreciated the care he took to get all the details right by sending us a very thorough questionnaire. He was also just a super chill person—easy to work with and fun to have around on the wedding day! We could not have asked for a better DJ! Thank you for making our wedding night unforgettable!

DJ Apollo did an amazing job! With all of the wedding decisions and things to think about, stress is inevitable. After our first meeting with DJ Apollo, we were able to breathe a huge sigh of relief. He covered everything in detail and eliminated any anxiety of how our reception was going to run, which ended up running incredibly smooth because of his experience and expertise. Cole was the absolute best! He was so full of energy and attentive to our wants and desires throughout the entire planning process. We loved how involved we were able to be in all of the music choices and felt like Cole helped our vision truly come to life!

We were soooo lucky to have DJ Apollo as our DJ for our wedding. During our meet and greets beforehand, he listened to our feedback on what music/vibe we wanted for our wedding and he simply exceeded our expectations. He provided good feedback and tips that we didn't even think of that helped elevate the wedding experience. Once wedding day started, he was very accommodating, supportive, and communicative with how the day was going to go. He also was an AMAZING MC, helped pumped up the crowd, provided announcements, and followed our timeline. We even had a lot of compliments from our guests about how good he was - one of them even wanted him to be a DJ for her wedding haha. DJ Apollo is an all-around great guy, he's attentive, experienced, and his priority is to make sure the couple and guests are having great time on newlyweds special day. DJ Apollo created our wedding timeline and made sure our wedding ceremony and reception went smoothly. He always kept my groom and I in the loop about what was next and made sure we didn’t need anything throughout the night. Our dance floor was packed from the first song until the last song and guests of all ages enjoyed his music selection. Would highly recommend!

Our DJ, Galen McDaniel, was fantastic. He was communicative throughout planning, super flexible (e.g., adding songs the week of the wedding), and set up a video meeting (as we were planning from out of state) to discuss song/evening flow. We were able to provide a lot of information about our guests and song choices that maximized the number of people up and dancing, which was a big priority for us. He respected the songs we suggested and built on them with his own suggestions in a way that kept the night grooving and that was a perfect fit for what our family and friends like. Equipment setup and teardown was super efficient and worked with a tight venue turnaround timeline.

DJ Apollo was excellent, he helped make our ceremony and reception run smoothly. We really enjoyed how organized and precise he was. You can tell he loves what he does, and that energy just projected throughout our whole wedding! Mike, or DJ Apollo from Platinum DJ was incredible, he did an incredible job working to relieve any potential wedding stressors that he could not just the day of but the months leading up to our big day. Mike is very knowledgeable and experienced and that showed when it came to some of the things that he brought up that we had never thought about. Mike is also very personable which made it feel like we had someone who really cared about making our wedding day incredible. So if you’re looking for a DJ that is not just knowledgeable but also looks out for the best interest of you and your significant other on your wedding day Mike is the perfect DJ for you.

Platinum was amazing! Kyle was so much fun and everyone loved the music he played. He met with us in advance and figured out our style and was able to keep the party alive all night. Literally made the night amazing for us.

DJ "Mike" Apollo was fantastic. From the first time we met, he made sure that we knew he was going to make our day stress free. He sat down with us and went over every little detail to make sure our day was perfect. He helped us find songs and gave fantastic advice. On our wedding day he personally came and found me, the bride, to make sure I was comfortable and stress free. He engaged with our guests and made sure the experience was personalized for every guest. My favorite thing that he did for us, was replay our first dance song at the end of the night when it was just my husband and I left. This seriously was the most perfect night because of him. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. I highly highly recommend DJ Apollo.

My husband and I had DJ Apollo to emcee and DJ our wedding and I couldn't recommend him more! We got to hear some of our favorite songs, guest suggestions, and some wedding classics! Everything blended so nicely and no one wanted to leave at the end of the night. He was a huge hit with our friends and family. My sister in law and her fiance want to have him for their wedding in the future! Not only did he care about the music, but he also cared about us and made sure we were having fun, got a plate of dinner, and kept us at the top of his priorities! We had a few things that we threw at him last minute that he took in stride and didn't miss a single beat! If you hire DJ Apollo for you're wedding, invite me as well because I would love to go to another dance party with him mixing the tunes!

With the venue that we went with for our wedding (8th & Main Event Space in Grandview) we were required to use Platinum DJ. And while there were a few hiccups with Platinum DJ itself (difficult to get ahold of, getting us connected to our DJ just a week and a half before our wedding, etc.), they connected us with Mike, DJ Apollo, which was the BEST possible outcome I could've imagined for our big day. Mike did it all, and we were so happy with how he MC'd our reception, as well as DJ'd for the dancing portion of the night. Sooooo many of our guests afterwards said that it was the best wedding reception they've been to, and specifically called out Mike as being the BEST wedding DJ they've experienced, and we couldn't agree more!! I was feeling anxious about how things would run the day-of our wedding, however Mike met with us twice and was so organized I knew he'd handle the flow of things once the reception started, so I was no longer worrying as our wedding date approached. During the reception he checked on us frequently, even got us more drinks or water, and he made the evening flow so smoothly, even though it was jam-packed with so many fun activities! I seriously couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience, and I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Apollo for anyone's event!!

Adam made our wedding reception a night to remember! He was very friendly and fulfilled all of our music requests. We had a ZOOM call with him prior to the wedding so we could get to know each other and go through the details of the night. He made sure the dance floor stayed busy all night long; there was never a dull moment from the beginning of the night until the end. Highly recommend this vendor!!

I do not have enough amazing things to say about my experience with Platinum DJ, but especially with DJ Apollo!! He tailored the entire experience to our exact needs and wasn’t just a DJ he was a host and friend and helped us with any questions we had even outside of the DJ scope. You can tell how truly passionate he is about what he does and that made all the difference. He was so integral to making sure our wedding day was the best it possibly could be and perfectly created our vision. Brad New is not just a DJ, he is a rockstar vibe engineer. Socially intelligent, super laid back, listens to and executes what you want flawlessly, and absolutely a good time. His portion of the wedding went without a hiccup, didn’t have to think about a thing. Sound quality was excellent, no mic issues, up lights looked great and increased party environment, accommodated our special odd requests and just helped everything flow.

My partner and I are OVER THE MOON with how Platinum DJ, and especially our DJ Galen, were throughout our whole wedding process. Platinum DJ made to planning/music selection so fun and easy and were super responsive to any/all questions I had through the process. I could sing Galen's praises until I'm blue in the face, truly. I feel like we couldn't have gotten partnered up with a better fit of our vibe/wedding. He was super professional but very personable and heard us out on any questions/suggestions/comments we had. He was incredibly communicative, and was super flexible when we bumped around our timeline the day before the wedding. At the wedding itself, he was incredibly helpful, checked in with us constantly, and matched the vibes that we wanted perfectly. He checked in with us on when we wanted to make the change to explict rap (our favorite genre) and also personally walked around and released tables for dinner since we opted for no table numbers/seating arrangements. He was incredibly kind, personable, and overall just such a cool person through the whole process. He had us feel relaxed and we are both super duper thankful for him!

DJ Mike Apollo was the DJ for our wedding through Platinum DJ. First off, Platinum DJ was so easy to work with. Missy answered all of our questions promptly and was willing to jump on a Zoom call to go over everything with us in the planning stage. Secondly, DJ Apollo was the reason our dance floor had people on it all night. Not only did he keep people on the dance floor, but he also helped ease our minds the day of our wedding. It is a crazy busy day and DJ Apollo was reassuring us that it was all good and he was there to help with whatever we needed. He was also very quick to communicate and schedule meetings with us in the planning process. He exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

DJ Mike Apollo is a must have for your wedding. We got so many compliments on him as our DJ and he kept the dance floor going all night. The best part about working with Mike is his positive energy and his knowledge. I didn’t have a wedding planner and he really helped out with things like timeline, communicating with other vendors, types of music to play and when, etc. He gave us unique ideas for things we could do at our reception to add in some extra fun and humor. He was great at directing and moving our timeline along as well. I trusted everything he put his input on because it is very clear he is invested in our day going as smooth and positive as it can go - it was no question that he truly cared about us and our memory of our day! We never had to worry with Mike as our DJ - book him!!!

DJ Tony is absolutely amazing! Our music tastes are very diverse and DJ Tony was able to incorporate every song we threw at him perfectly into our night. His mixing was highly praised by all of our attendants, he kept energy high and the party never stopped!

My wife and I came across Platinum DJ and were lucky enough to have DJ Apollo work our wedding. From the first meeting you could tell the level of passion he had for his job. He came with ideas and was open for suggestions when he needed to be. The day went off without a hitch and he kept the dance floor fun as the night went on. We had a smaller wedding so that could be harder to do. He involved our guest and kept us engaged with everyone. From the start of seeing my now wife walk down the aisle to the song we chose, all the way to the end when it was just her, myself, and Mike (Dj Apollo) he brought a level of professionalism mixed with personalization. I would recommend him 100 times over.

The day of the wedding, we were told we had a substitute DJ. He was very nice, however he told my daughter, the bride that he had never worked at our venue and didn't know what he was doing. The down lighting was supposed to be blue and gold. He did red and couldn't change it when 2 people asked. The bride asked me to have him play songs from her playlist because he wasn't. He played a few from the list, but that's all. We contacted the manager, but no solutions have been offered.

We hired Platinum DJ for our wedding and could not have been happier! The communication through the whole process was fabulous. We were assigned Axel as our DJ and he did amazing communicating with us throughout the wedding day/evening and everything ran as smoothly as it could have.

The wrong song was played for the bridal party entering into our ceremony. The portal you enter your entire playlist into is an outdated program. Thankfully we had 2 hours to commit to this during such a busy time.

We had Adam as our DJ from this company and he gave me the exact dance floor I was looking for! He was also able to meet all of my song requests for the ceremony etc. The company has a super easy online portal to fill things out on. Adam was able to curate the perfect mix of high-school emo throwbacks with current dance hits as well. I don’t think I left the dance floor for a single minute once I got on it which is exactly what I wanted.

DJ Apollo, (Mike) was exactly what was advertised. He simply made our day flow with his organizational skills and the music was fantastic. DJ Apollo, made things simple and stress-free. I would highly recommend Platinum DJ to any couple looking for a stress-free phenomenal experience with a high sense of musical knowledge to go along with it. He took the time to make us feel confident in his ability, followed through with what he said he would deliver, and just made our special day, THE BEST.

Brad was an absolutely incredible DJ! He really was able to read the room and kept everyone on their feet all night long. He really took his time asking us questions before the wedding to understand our music taste and he perfectly customized the night to us. Brad was the best DJ that we could have imagined. He met with us a few weeks before our big day to get a sense of what kind of music we liked and helpfully walked us through the entire evening. We felt totally confident that Brad would meet our very high expectations. And he did. His enthusiasm and high energy was contagious. DJ Galen was THE BEST! Hiring a DJ was so different than any of our other vendors since we couldn't see their work beforehand, but we could not have been happier with the results. He did an amazing job reading the room - our dance floor was packed for the entire reception. We have received a ton of compliments on our wedding being so fun, and that is thanks to Galen. DJ Brad is the best DJ around KC! He made music planning so easy and fun. During our wedding, he played everything we wanted and our guests had a great time on the dance floor. If you need a hype MC at your wedding, Brad is your guy. I cannot recommend their services enough!

Axel was one of the best parts of our entire wedding day. He was well planned and all of our communications/timeline were well laid out on an organized Google Doc we shared together. He took time to get to know us a couple of weeks before the wedding so we could get on the same level with our expectations for the night. We didn’t have to pick out every last song. He took our initial list of a few songs and genres and ran with it in the best possible way. All night we kept receiving compliments on our music and the DJ and how great of a party it was!
