We chose two flavor combos (vanilla with chocolate ganache and vanilla with strawberries and buttercream), and both were delicious! to pick a few different flavors to sample when you first start working with them, and then you go to their bakery to do a mini-tasting. They lay out all the options of cakes and fillings and you can mix and match your own. You can also make each tier a different flavor too which is nice. They're also incredibly artistic...looking at their facebook albums and other pictures, they really do have a wide variety of styles they can do. They were also really good with providing recommendations of silk flowers to buy, and then we just drop off the flowers and the cake topper the week of our wedding. All in all, they were really easy to work with.
And then the day of the wedding we walk in to our venue and WOW! The cake looked INCREDIBLE! It really took our breath away and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out...it was so impressive and everyone was giving us compliments all night about it. Obviously it tasted great (at least the one flavor we tried that night...too much food we didn't get to try them all!) But really couldn't speak more highly of how the cake came out. Thank you so much to everyone at Platinum House of Sweets for helping to make our wedding day perfect!

paid $50 extra for gold foil around the edges that is indecipherable and $25 for hand drawn initials that looked childish and sloppy. I wish there was some way to see a rough draft of a cake design before they make it so I could have intervened and asked for something more simple because this was not the vision I had in mind and, honestly, not the quality of work I’ve seen this bakery do for others. I also wish they’d use their judgement to add some fondant flowers or something to make this look better. I was left with a cake that was delicious but also left a lasting impression as the least beautiful part of my wedding.
