Hiring P3 was the best wedding decision we made, hands down! They took on vendors I hired separately, though the majority of vendors were hired at their recommendation--and all were perfect. They made the planning process so much easier (seriously, I probably texted Danielle more in the weeks leading up to my wedding than my fiancé), and I'm pretty sure I couldn't have actually had a wedding or reception without their presence the day of (seriously, if nothing else, use them as a 'day-of' planner--it's worth every penny and much more). I was able to seclude myself with my bridesmaids for hair, makeup, and mimosas (and Britney and Taylor) all day without worrying about a thing. They took my vision and ran with it, seeing it 10 times clearer than even I did. Their ability to see the big picture is great, but it's really the details that sets them apart. From meeting us with drinks after the ceremony, to making sure our feet was sand-free after our beach ceremony, to ensuring we got some alone time before the reception, they made sure everything was PERFECT and it was! We got so many compliments on how this was the best wedding anyone had ever been to, and I wish I could do it all over again. I wouldn't be surprised if Gena had ordered the perfect weather to go with our perfect day. :) To Danielle and Gena: thank you, thank you, thank you. I couldn't have asked (or paid) for better help on the best day of my life.

She was never pushy and I never once felt pressured. The day of my wedding was seamless. I watched her and the vendors transform the space into a truly magical scene that was elegant and pure class. P3 has an eye for detail and it made a huge difference when creating the reception around the pool. A lot of my guests commented on how professional she was but yet managed to stay behind the scenes and out of the spotlight. They even changed outfits once they noticed one of my guests was wearing the same dress just so my guest did not feel uncomfortable. enge! It is also hard when you're fiance is uncomfortable at large gatherings. When I read about Platinum Party Planning, I knew this would be the place to start to get answers. And boy what a godsend Gena and Esra were! They took care of every question I had and took care of every thing my work schedule wouldn't allow. I wanted a simple, but very pretty wedding with an old Nag's Head feel to it, like it was years ago. And it was terrific! It was at the Sea Foam Motel on their oceanfront gazebo. We had colored adirondack chairs, picnic baskets for each guest with excellent grilled tuna steak sandwiches with pineapple mango salsa, and other treats, surfboards mounted in the sand, and I had a steel drum band play music for a couple of hours where folks could dance or just sit back in a chair and enjoy the music. And it was all on the beach after 6 P.M. when the beach is quiet. The kids were able to run around and have fun, and the adults could mingle about and chat. Since some of my guests didn't drink, we prepared three tubs for all our guests - one with bottled water, one with beer, and one with sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages. I didn't have a single problem or worry the entire time; Gena & Esra took care of every single detail! If you want a planner that will leave no stone unturned and every detail taken care of, Gena is definitely the person to go to. And it doesn't have to be a big wedding either! Mine was a smaller one with only twenty five guests and they paid the same amount of attention to mine as they would a large wedding. Big or small, it doesn't matter. I was so impressed with the way she could make a smaller wedding so elegant and classy. Best of all, a year later, I still have guests tell me it was the best wedding they had ever been to! In short, it is worth every cent you pay to have Platinum Party Planning take care of your Outer Banks wedding needs. The peace of mind you get is well worth it!

Gena's great ideas, vast experience and attention to detail made the rehearsal and wedding day run so smoothly. Kaitlyn and Derek were able to enjoy their entire engagement with very little stress and the wedding day was perfect down to the last detail. Gena puts her heart into her wedding planning. Kaitlyn was definitely treated like a VIP during the entire process. As a result, Mom and Dad got to enjoy the happy occasion too! In addition, the weekend of the wedding, Gena and her 3 staff were all at the rehearsal, wedding and reception !The assistants were also extremely knowledgeable and helpful to us and our guests! Only one complaint....the day went by too fast!

ceremony site was all cleaned up before the reception, she just smiled and said not to worry. It was such a relief to not worry about name tags, labels, guest transportation, or anything! At one point, the champagne had not been delivered to the reception site (we brought our own wine and beer), but she made sure I had no idea that this was happening. She got the champagne there, and all was well. Know that you can trust her with absolutely everything. You are in good hands! She even had the caterers bring out food to the site we were taking pictures at before the reception. She makes sure you are well fed (and always have a drink in your hand). She absolutely nailed my wedding! I hate to be so blunt, but I can't tell you how above and beyond my vision she went. I explained what I had in mind, and she did it perfectly. There is no way I could have even accomplished what I wanted, and then she did even more than I expected! She has an eye for detail and the little things. She adds unique touches that totally wowed the guests too. I trusted her with the final image, and she delivered way more than I had ever dreamed of. She is very intuitive.

The day of my wedding was completely stress-free! I knew that every last detail had been taken care of. While Gena was making sure the wedding went smoothly, Danielle and Esra were busy setting up the aquarium and making sure everything was perfect when we arrived. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about our wedding, and how everything seemed to flow without any hassles. I was referred to P3 by several friends who had worked with them for their weddings. All of my expectations were met and I could not have asked for a more perfect day! floral and decor guru, Renee Landry. Being familiar with Renee's work and given HER reputation as the best of the best for Outer Banks weddings, I booked Gena without a second thought. I am so glad we did. Gena was super organized and, even though we only booked her for "week-of" services, she was attentive and helpful all the way up to the big day. She was always available to answer my questions via email, and was diligent about sending me periodic reminders to do things (i.e. nail down a final menu, book our transportation, etc.). In terms of choosing our other vendors, I am EXTREMELY picky, and we attended the wedding expo where I was able to easily pick all our vendors ourselves. However, I have no doubt that Gena would have been stellar in helping us make picks as well :D To say that I am not someone who gives up control or delegates to other people well is a GROSS understatement - I ALWAYS have to do everything myself, BY myself (you could say I'm a teensy-bit of a type A perfectionist ;) haha). BUT, Gena and Danielle made me feel COMPLETELY confident in relinquishing control on my wedding day. I couldn't have been more relaxed knowing that all the details were in great, fellow-type-A hands ;D One last thing: our wedding wasn't large (around 70 guests) but group is a young, rowdy one (neither myself nor my husband has a large family so it was mostly our friends). Our playlist was EXCLUSIVELY hip-hop and rap (we specifically banned all slow-songs and all typical wedding songs), and we danced well into the night...fueled by lots and lots of booze. If we had had kegs, keg stands would have happened for sure. Gena and Danielle were so patient with us and did a phenomenal job cleaning up and breaking down as well - truly above and beyond. Our wedding was everything I ever dreamed it would be and so much more! It helped tremendously having such an amazing wedding planner, especially since it was a destination wedding.
