desmaid. We forgot in the moment, and photographer didn't use the sheet from our pre meeting to remind us.
Few Adjustments:
Little to no adjustments were made when taking pictures. For example, there was very little reminders such as button or unbutton jackets, move hands like this, or recentering groups. For the most part this didn't matter except for a couple of photos, but it did make one large family photo look really off by not giving more direction.
Website Issues:
We found the website she uploaded the pictures to difficult to use, particularly on a phone. We could only get photos to download on our phone one at a time. In doing so it takes several clicks to download each photo. The website would also frequently crash after downloading a decent amount and we would have to relog in and start where we left off. Overall, this became a very time consuming and tedious process.
Delayed Timelines:
There were a ridiculous number of delays and terrible communication. I will admit the photographer had a lot of life events happened that caused some delays, and I completely understand sometimes things are outside of your control. However, between engagement pictures, preview photos, and full set of wedding photos at least ten deadlines were missed. Most of the time deadlines were missed we had to follow up to see the new expectation, instead of the photographer being up front about it. I believe a root cause is the photographer set herself up for failure by giving too optimistic of deadlines for her that created unrealistic expectations. In total it took over 6 months to receive our wedding photos and we were told initially to expect 10 weeks.
Unprofessional:
She failed to tell us the photos were finished at the end and we had to randomly check the website to see for ourselves.

We hired Platinum Photography with the expectation, and contractual agreement, that we would receive retouched digital images, a custom wooden USB, and a physical 8x10 album. Unfortunately, the process from start to finish was filled with delays, broken promises, and poor communication. What followed was a frustrating string of extended deadlines, vague updates, and inconsistent messaging. The USB was only ordered months after the wedding — after we followed up repeatedly — and the album was denied, then later reluctantly agreed to after I pushed back and quoted the actual contract. The editing was also incomplete, with clear inconsistencies in the photos we received, and promises made about corrections were not fulfilled until pointed out directly. Even after it was fulfilled the quality was nothing like the photos on the website.
At one point, I was even offered a partial refund on the condition that I remove my review and forfeit the remaining items; an incredibly unprofessional request for such an important day. A day I will NEVER be able to “re-do” or get back.
It’s not that the photographer was rude or mean; they were always polite. But it felt like a constant bait-and-switch, with excuse after excuse and very little accountability.
After months of back and forth, the album and USB are finally in progress, but I would never recommend this experience to another bride. Your wedding memories deserve more than constant follow-up, shifting stories, and delayed promises. Do your research, get everything in writing, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.
