Very friendly but the music wasn’t loud enough during ceremony or reception and didn’t play songs in the correct order for the ceremony. She only played some of the songs that I requested towards the end of the night when most people were gone....
Overall, she was okay. Not great but not horrible.

Catherine did an amazing job DJ-ing our wedding. She was super flexible through the planning process and helped make sure I rented the correct equipment for the extra set ups we'd need at our venue (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). Music wa...
s something I knew I'd obsess over to make it "perfect" so I committed to handing it off to Catherine (after she asked for preferences of course) and that was the best decision. She did a great job of meshing my and my husbands styles and making sure the music not only fit our style but also the venue and formality of the occasion, while still being fun. As soon as the dance floor opened up it was full and it stayed that way until the reception ended. Play Optic DJ is affordable, professional, and made our night perfect!

Catherine has been in the DJ business since 2013. Starting off working sorority & college events, business really took off after many of her friends & sorority sisters needed a DJ for their upcoming wedding. Since then, Catherine has DJ'd hundreds of events, from weddings, to philanthropy events, private socials, parties, & everything in between. She travels all across the state of Kentucky for events, & ensures diversity/inclusion is a part of her everyday work, meeting the needs of her clients in every step of the wedding. She's an extrovert who loves music, great company, & a good time.
