The backdrop of the house, its unique architecture, wood paneling and gorgeous lighting worked so well with our tan and brown linens and natural floral arrangements. The addition of dozens of candles on tables and the mantles, really made the space feel magical. The cozy, warm feeling made all of guests feel at home at made us feel like we were entertaining in our home instead of a wedding venue. If only, we could live there! Sarah and all the Pleasant Home staff were so great to work with throughout the process. We planned the wedding in two months and Sarah made sure we were on track with everything. She gave excellent recommendations for vendors to use and was in constant contact with us to answer all of our questions. When we made the change to move inside, she coordinated everything with our caterer and made it happen seamlessly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. It was great to have that type of trust with a vendor. I highly recommend Pleasant Home for any small wedding. The space is so warm and inviting and you'll feel at home in it. It truly is an Oak Park gem.

nd so very sweet. The Pleasant Home was absolutely gorgeous. It was everything my husband and I dreamed of. We were married outside in front of the house in front of the gorgeous tree. It was a dream. We took the most beautiful wedding photos around the grounds of the house and inside. It was extremely affordable but totally stunning and gorgeous. It's conveniently close to the green line which made transportation to our west loop reception for our guests (and the bridal party!) very easy. The staff was fabulous. They helped us set up our lanterns and our trellis the day of the ceremony. Sarah went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed for our big day. She and her staff member even stood next to me while I was freaking out before walking down the aisle and calmed my nerves. I highly recommend this venue!

The entire bridal party was able to sequester themselves separately and in style within the house as the guests arrived. The setting was perfect for pictures before, during and after. Sarah and the entire staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was set up and ran smoothly. I really can't express how grateful my wife and I are to Pleasant Home for going above and beyond for us. I would recommend Pleasant Home to anyone looking to have a wedding ceremony in the Chicago-land area.

emony and reception, so without looking at any other places we booked it. Our day was nothing short of magical. The venue was absolutely romantic and I wouldn't change a thing. It requires some additional work vs. the traditional banquet hall because you need to take care of rentals, food, liquor license, etc. All the things a hall would take care of. Far and away, it was a perfect venue.
