Peter worked tirelessly with me in selecting and obtaining music for all of the special songs forming a part of the playlist for my wedding. Many, many conversations took place and it was such fun. Because these were not the standards on their list the musicians had to practice until they were flawless. The trio was awesome!

Plum Blossom Quartet (well, we had a Trio!) swooped in and SAVED THE BIG DAY and I am eternally grateful. The week of our wedding, our string quartet canceled; I was devastated because this was the one thing I really, really wanted as part of the ceremony. Peter Markush completely saved the day, finding amazing musicians who were even willing to play a special selection at very late notice. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for their professional and reasonable services. Would recommend them a million times over.

I can't say enough great things about Peter and Plum Blossom! We initially contacted Peter for classical music for our ceremony - of everything I heard online, Plum Blossom sounded by far the best. When Peter mentioned that they could also do bluegrass/Appalachian music, I immediately booked them for the cocktail hour as well. Peter was so easy to work with throughout the planning process, and proactively gave us suggestions for certain parts of the ceremony. On the day of, he and the other musicians were punctual and professional. Despite some logistical changes due to the weather, Peter and Plum Blossom impressed us and our guests with their beautiful music (especially our not-so-classical choice for the Recessional)! I just wish I had been able to stick around the cocktail hour to enjoy more of the fun bluegrass music! I would definitely recommend Plum Blossom to anyone planning a wedding in the Charlottesville area.

Plum Blossom was fantastic! Peter was incredibly professional and easy to work with. On the wedding day, they cam prepared, ready, and required nothing from me. They played beautifully (according to my family and friends) at both my wedding and cocktail hour. I was too nervous to hear/remember anything! I would definitely recommend Plum Blossom!

I cannot stress how terrific it was to work with this band. They were extremely responsive, professional, and helpful in all stages of the planning process. We had them play our ceremony and cocktail hour. The music selection was perfect and everyone really enjoyed their performance. They were prompt on the wedding day, have very few requirements, and just did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this band to anyone!

5 Stars isn't enough!! The Plum Blossom group turned my wedding ceremony into the perfect fairytale. I was completely blown away by how beautifully they played. I had a specific, non-traditional Irish song in mind for the processional (Pastures New by Nickel Creek) and Peter and his other talented musicians were happily willing to learn it for me. No sheet music was available, so they even had to prepare it just by listening to a You Tube recording. I was hiding up in the loft of the ballroom waiting for the ceremony to begin when I first heard them practice it. I was completely overwhelmed with how perfect it sounded.. they nailed it, even with different instruments than the original. I started to cry from happiness as I listened. It was that moment that it really hit me, I was about to marry my soul mate, and that was my song. I couldn't have asked for a more talented or professional group of people, they turned my dream into reality and I will be forever grateful. Hire no one else!

We were very happy to hire Peter and the other two members of the Plum Blossom Trio to provide music during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We never met in person prior to the event and all of our discussion took place over email. Although it might take a couple days to receive a response via email (to be fair, it would take me a couple days to respond to his emails as well), Peter was extremely easy to work with in terms of planning. He was respectful of our budget and offered suggestions to fit our needs. We went back and forth countless times in order to balance more traditional wedding ceremony music with more upbeat/Appalachian music for the cocktail hour (had many suggestions for both). We chose a few specific pieces for certain moments during the ceremony; otherwise left it to the trio to choose what they thought was most appropriate – and couldn’t have been happier.
