zing photos of full glam and claims that their services are “luxury.” All of the pictures you see are done by the owner, Bailey. For my first trial I had Brea as my MUA. I was not facing the mirror the entire time she did my make up and when I turned around to see the final product I had to hold back tears. My make up was so dark, did not match my skin tone whatsoever, my lips were lined way outside of my lips and crooked, and you could see the eyelash glue from a mile away.  I hardly had any eye liner and my hair was a frizzy mess. This was very upsetting because I had engagement photos scheduled within the next hour or so. Clearly, Brea knew that I was not happy with my service, because while driving home I got a call from Bailey, the owner. She said she would try to fix it, but I would need to go back up to the salon. Since I was already on my way home and needed to still get dressed for pictures, that was not an option. In the end, every single one of my engagement photos needed to be edited because my face make up was so dark it did not match the rest of my body. Next, I was put with a second MUA, Cris. When completing this trial with Cris, Bailey, showed up at the salon so she could discuss my first trial and then what I was wanting for this one. It was very awkward and her demeanor was not that of an apologetic business owner who actually wanted to make me happy. I still felt as though I was not being heard and my concerns were disregarded. Instead, excuses were made. Bailey told me that if I wanted to look like the girls on her Instagram I needed a spray tan and a hydrafacial. I could not believe what I was hearing. These comments were very hurtful and unprofessional. Even if said in the nicest way, you should never tell your client that they’d look better WITH YOUR SERVICES, by adding a tan or facial. On a phone call with Cris I told him t multiple times “I want full glam,” “I want my make up to look like the photos on Instagram.” Cris seemed receptive, however, 5 days before my wedding Bailey called saying that Cris was not confident that she would be able to “make me happy” on my wedding day. I was told that she did not “feel confident” that she would be able to give me the look I was asking for. I was then was given a different make up artist, Lisa, for my actual wedding day. Someone who I had never done a trial with and knew nothing about my skin tone, preferences, etc. Lisa’s work was good. But again, it was not full glam by any means. After all of the combined stress/anxiety from everything I mentioned above.. I decided to hire someone else to do my bridal hair and make up. Bailey never once checked in to see how things went on my wedding day. The lack of compassion definitely showed. We had many issues with the hairstylist, Monica, as well. She was very rude to my entire bridal party. Throughout the day she made comments like, “you need to lower your expectations,” “it’s not going to look like a Pinterest photo,” I’m not a professional.” She only brought a wand to do everyone’s hair, not an actual curing iron. I would recommend not making a deposit before doing a trial. You will not see make up done by any of the artists mentioned above on her Instagram page. You expect to get this “luxury” experience and mine was everything but that.
