My wedding is 23 days away, and Camp Tioga canceled on me & closed permanently. They could have at least honored Summer weddings.. 23 days is a smack in the face. I'm sure they knew they were shutting down sooner than this. Absolutely horrid situation.
They closed permanently and cancled our wedding that's 5 months away
My husband and I selected the Poconos Camp Wedding Center for our wedding in the fall of 2022 and it was an amazing experience. The staff leading up to the wedding answered any questions I had (they have a plan for everything) and the staff during the weekend was awesome. They felt like family by the end of the weekend. Special thank you to Alix and Becca!
Guests loved archery and basketball on the morning of the wedding and the entire weekend was so much fun. We loved the late night bonfires on both Friday and Saturday night and the s'mores were great. I really can't imagine having picked a more "traditional" wedding venue. It was exactly what we were looking for and it was everything I had hoped it would be.
Very nice but not the best at being responsive. I had to be the one to reach out about cabin sign ups before sending our save-the-dates when I had hoped they would send out a helpful email with all info we needed to know. They also need to be up front that you should rent portable toilets for your guests’ comfort. There was some kind of mix up with their booking system that let more guests book private rooms than were available but the venue communicated with our guests to book shared cabins or hotel rooms nearby. And they put me in a bind delaying telling us how much we owed for our certified check. However, weekend of the wedding they were lovely and on top of everything. The weather and foliage were perfect for our wedding and our guests still talk about how unique it was for them to stay over in cabins and do archery before the wedding. Plus, the camp activities on the day of the wedding were very fun, especially the archery. If you want a beautiful and out-of-the-box venue that provides fun, this one is for you but you will have to be more hands-on yourself.
We had an amazing wedding at the Poconos Camp Wedding Center. The sunset from the reception space was beautiful, and the service was amazing during the weekend. The food throughout the weekend was delicious, and everything on the wedding day was just perfect. It was great not having to worry about any setup/clean-up and the team really did make the day go off flawlessly. It rained on Friday so we didn't have a giant bonfire, but had a great time in the Fieldhouse with corn hole, bingo, and music. Couldn't be more thankful to everyone at the Poconos Camp Wedding Center for making our weekend amazing and one that our family will be talking about forever!!!
We got married at the Poconos Camp Wedding Center in September, 2021. It was without a doubt, the best weekend ever! We had the property for the whole weekend and it was great to get folks from all over to get together. The food was awesome (get the brisket & pulled pork). The team during the weekend was amazing and super helpful. It has a rustic feel, but absolutely everything was new inside. The ceremony location has some legendary views, the really old barn for cocktail hour was perfect, the pavilion was great, and the cabins and private rooms all my guests were in were recently renovated, which made everyone comfortable. You need to provide your own alcohol, but we hired a local bartending team to serve and they were great. Oh, and the s'mores and a bonfire at night in the center of camp were super fun!
I can't even begin to describe how incredible Camp Tioga was for our wedding. Alison was incredible throughout the whole process answering any questions we had and helping us stay organized ahead of our wedding weekend. The check-in for our guests was so smooth and we were able to get right to fun activities. Camp Tioga helped us organize a corn hole tournament, and we even had a King Pong Tournament!
The Friday Night BBQ and Campfire was great, our guests loved spending time by the lake and watching the sun set. After more activities on Saturday, the wedding itself was totally seamless and it was incredible not having to worry about setup/breakdown of the reception space or cocktail hour. We hired a local recommended bartender that was great and we danced the night away!
Our friends and family stayed up late with us around the campfire, and everyone was amazed by how incredible the weekend was. There is no where else I could have picked to be a more incredible wedding weekend.
We got married at Camp Tioga June 12th and it was an amazing experience. The whole weekend from start to finish was everything we imagined and more. The reception was beautiful, food was delicious, and the Camp Tioga team made everything so easy. The best part of the whole experience was sharing the whole weekend with all of our friends and family. The welcome BBQ on Friday was so nice, and our guests loved all of the activities including the corn hole tournament on Saturday. We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere other than Camp Tioga!
We got married at Camp Tioga on June 5th 2021. We had such an amazing weekend. The staff was incredible and very helpful. Our guest joined us for a weekend full of activities and events. On Friday we had a corn hole tournament, rehearsal, and an I do bbq. On Saturday we had a kickball game, paint and sip, and of course the wedding. Our guest also got to go fishing, swimming, zip lining, bungee trampolines, and much more. The ceremony and reception went smoothly. Our guest can’t stop talking about the wedding and keep telling us that this is the best wedding they have ever went too. I highly recommend Camp Tioga for your wedding!
We had an absolutely amazing wedding at Camp Tioga! The Camp Tioga team was so fantastic throughout the planning process and as a long distance bride, kept me reassured the whole time. They were there to help with whatever we needed during the weekend. Having a camp wedding was so nice because we were able to do a big bonfire each night after the festivities, and really spend time with everyone. The fireworks show was icing on the cake. Our guests had an amazing time from start to finish, loved all of the activities and the beer canoe! Cannot recommend Camp Tioga enough!
The Camp Tioga team was fantastic in creating an unbelievable weekend for us! We were looking for something a little different and having a full summer camp for the weekend was great! We have fantastic pictures, everyone had a really fun time, and we had a wedding weekend none of our guests will ever forget! Couldn't recommend more!
