About this vendor
Hi there! I'm Emily Pogozelski and I created Pogo Photo to tell love stories through joyful documentary photography. I strive to capture the feeling of your day as well as the beauty, taking not-so-secret pleasure in riding a rollercoaster of emotions with you and your loved ones.
My goal is to make sure every client has an enjoyable and memorable experience. My clients are never just clients; I've always found that my best images are created with people I connect with, and I've connected with amazing people from all over the world. After over a decade photographing weddings I've learned that life is beautiful: messy, unscripted, and unpredictable, but beautiful just as it is.
If you're looking for a photographer who will capture all of the feelings of your day please reach out! I can't wait to tell your story.
xoxo Em

Pogo Photo.. where to begin! We scored the jackpot with Emily. During our first conversation over video chat we decided to work together on my wedding. Whenever we mentioned her na...
me to another one of our vendors they had nothing but great things to say about how they love her and how talented she is. Her photo style is unique and beautiful, with a focus on candids and documentary style photos.
As our conversation progressed during that first meeting, we knew we wanted her to photograph our wedding, my fiance and I didn't even need to discuss it.
She was so friendly, easy to talk to, and reassured us of our fears! I have read and seen too many videos about brides being disappointed with their wedding photos and we wanted to make sure this day would be captured beautifully and knew Emily would make that happen. We were also concerned about worst case scenario- Emily not being able to photograph the day of due to any number of reasons (maybe we're paranoid?). Initially we were interested in a company that has a network of photographers but we weren't able to see their portfolios before signing a contract. The upside of that company is they'd be able to send another photographer should something fall through- accident, sickness, emergency. Emily's response to our concerns completely erased any worry we had. This is a woman with a plan for EVERYTHING! I trust her immensely.
She also gave me some kind words of reassurance during our check-in call a few weeks before the wedding, which I appreciate so much.
The day of, Emily and her sister Monica photographed our wedding and I just have to say how awesome they are! They were both so friendly, down to earth, and to see these two talented professionals at work was really cool to witness. For our family photos they kept us on track for time while the rest of us were so focused on the fun we were having.
During the reception I feel like I barely saw Emily and Monica which made it that much more fun to see our photos! There are moments captured I don't even remember at the time but can look back on happily.
Overall, I can't say enough how happy I am with Pogo Photo. I HIGHLY recommend her! She's the perfect photographer to capture your most special occasions.
I hate to have to write a review like this, and acknowledge 2020 was a difficult year for everyone but I wouldn't want another Bride to go through the service I received. The work ...
Emily does is amazing, her style and design is what you see on her website and it really does capture the feelings of the day. Unfortunately the review is due to the lack of service when it came to receiving our photos. My husband and I had to wait until the last week in the contract (nearly 3 months) to receive our photos. There was limited communication and not a preview provided, which compared to friends seemed unusual. Once we received the photos we truly loved them but we had questions/feedback on some of them. For example we had one formal portrait of us and I was not smiling so I asked to see others that may not have been selected, which in the contract it states you can request photos if still available. Three emails all went unanswered and we never heard back from Emily after she sent the links to our photos. I like to think COVID made this a unique situation but knowing so many vendors were eager for business it really was a shame to not receive the top notch service and after you trust someone to capture one of the most important days of your lives, a simple response would have been appreciated.

e so easy going but able to still take charge so that we got the photos we wanted without going off schedule. Cannot thank them enough for capturing our day!

onversation, where I felt like I was talking with an old friend, to the day of the wedding where she even made my camera shy hubby comfortable, to the day I received the final perfect photos... she was wonderful every step of the way! She has a unique perspective on things that brought me some of my favorite photos and memories of the day! I am amazed at how she so wonderfully captured every detail of the day!
Emily is the perfect person to document your special day. She is kind, patient, and talented. She is the BEST!
We worked with Em and Steve for our wedding in July of 2017, but originally met them in VT for a mini-engagement shoot in May. They are both full of energy and make a great team. ...
The Pogos were very professional and worked hard to make us feel comfortable in front of the lens. Before we knew it, it felt like we were working with friends. The photos they delivered were beautiful and captured so many candid moments of our day. We have received so many compliments and the beautiful images will serve as memories for years to come.
In a word, Em and Steve are FANTASTIC. I can't say enough good things about working with them. The #1 thing we wanted from our photos was to capture the feeling of our wedding an...
d the emotions of our guests (and us too, of course). Em and Steve nailed it - when I look back at our photos I feel like I am stepping back into the day am able to relive the joy that just radiates from the photos. The photos are editorial quality and look like they are from a professional magazine shoot. The Pogos are truly artists. They are also so much fun to work with - completely prepared, professional, light-hearted, and so easy to be around. Our families absolutely loved them day-of (we got married 7 months ago and my dad is still raving about them) and we were all blown away by the final photos. I have three younger sisters and all have said the Pogos will be among the first they call when its time to plan their own weddings. Look no further - it doesn't get any better than the Pogos.
We’ve been using the Pogos now for four years to capture our family memories, including our wedding and the birth of our son. I am eternally grateful for the beautiful ways in whic...
h they capture moments to be cheerished forever. Their pictures aren’t over-edited or posed, just genuine and stunning. They’re relaxed and hilarious, bringing out the best in everyone (and definitely making the kiddos smile!) Worth every penny, which is why we keep using them year-after year.
Wow, these guys are awesome! Prior to the wedding, I didn't think about how big of a role your photographers play through the entire day--you need to make sure that you not only l...
ike their work, but also that you like hanging out with them! Em and Steve were great in this sense. Steve was basically a groomsman by the end of the day with the fun we had, and my wife loved working with Em. They are thoughtful, kind, funny, and willing to go the extra mile for you. They seven gave us a ride home after the wedding because our shuttle took too long! The pictures are beautiful as well--we love how they captured candid moments throughout the night and how they had really fun and creative ideas for the portraits. You'll be very happy with these guys!
Working with Em and Steve was a true joy! I knew that photography was one area I didn't want to skimp or compromise. I figured it was one of the few things you take away with you a...
fter the wedding day. I wanted to be sure that I would enjoy having these people at my wedding and in my dressing room. I honestly spent more time with them than anyone else on my wedding day and it was like having your friend with you all day. And the photos are amazing. They will be treasured for a long long time. They brought tears to many eyes. Looking through our photos was like getting to relive the whole amazing day. Excellent photos plus excellent people plus excellent professionalism equals one of my best choices for my wedding day.

Their experience is evident in how they handled the entire day. We absolutely loved the sneak peak we've seen and are looking forward to getting the rest of them soon!

e wedding day with your photographer. It was true! But aside from being a great, funny and fun-loving couple, The Pogos are amongst the best photographers you could hire to capture your wedding day. I’ve hired photographers before for work projects (nyc fashion photographers) and was blown away with the Pogos talent, equipment and work.
As part of our photography package we also included an “engagement session”, which was great as it gave us a chance to get to know Emily and Steve prior to our wedding day and get some practice in front of their cameras. It felt like just a fun day hanging out with friends in the park. Our photo session was under 2 hours and I was very impressed with how many great shots they got in that short amount of time. I was expecting maybe a dozen or so “good ones”, but ended up with about 100 gorgeous shots! That’s incredible for such a short amount of shooting time. I can only imagine how many beautiful shots we’ll be getting from a full wedding day’s time to work with.
At our rehearsal dinner our guests got to know the Pogos as well and many commented on how fun and entertaining they were. On our wedding day, the Pogos were there taking charge during the formal photos and casually blended in with the party during the reception. I am confident they didn’t miss a beat capturing every moment!
Thank you Em and Steve for photographing our wedding!

phers, but we made new friends. Em and Steve made us feel comfortable every step of the way, even though it was at the last minute. It took very little time for them to understand exactly what type of reception we were having and what kind of photos we were looking for. Their level of professionalism is amazing and their dedication to the work is fantastic. Em and Steve will do almost anything to get the perfect shot! I could not give a higher recommendation for wedding photographers than Pogo Photo. Investing in photography by them will be one of the best wedding choices you make.
When my husband and I first got engaged, I explained to him that a good photographer was on the top of my priority list. In my opinion, pictures are the best way to be able to reli...
ve the story of your wedding day over and over again after everything is said and done.
My husband and I are both super awkward in front of a camera but they are so good at what they do, it's almost like you forget they have a huge camera lens pointed at your face. Their photos come out so natural and capture the love between couples effortlessly.
Em + Steve Pogozelski (affectionately known as the Pogos) are the most professional and talented yet fun and lively photographers you could ask for. From the moment we booked them for our engagement shoot to the day we got married (and beyond) they have been an absolute blast to work with! If you need proof of this... at one point during the reception, the dance floor was completely empty. Before I could even begin to stress about it, I look up and see Em dancing by herself and then in comes Steve with an epic 80's rockstar knee slide across the room. It was probably one of my favorite moments of the night.
Bottom line, if you want high quality photos that look like no other wedding photography you've seen on Pinterest a million times, plus a little bit of entertainment rolled into to one, I highly recommend Pogo Photo. :)

eady, to the ceremony, to the reception, the entire day was absolutely perfect. I am beyond thrilled that Emily and Steve were there to capture that special day for us. As a team, Emily and Steve work exceptionally well together from bouncing ideas of one another to their competitive nature as to “who got the better shot”. They take the more creative path when shooting photos and capture moments that most people may have missed!
As the bride, there is so much to remember the day of the wedding that it can be overwhelming and hard to just focus on enjoying the day. Emily, having shot many weddings as well as a being a recent bride herself, knew all the right things to say and do. She made it clear she was going to stay by my side and she did just that! She did more than just take great pictures, she gave moral support, advice and suggestions! When my hair was falling out….she even assisted one of my bridesmaids with taking out the countless number of bobby pins!! She did all of this and so much more on a day when she wasn’t even feeling 100% well.
Steve stayed with the guys from the beginning when they were getting dressed, to the ceremony itself, till way passed the late hours of the reception. He was with the guys for more than just the pictures….he helped calm nerves, helped maintain order and keep them on a schedule! He even passed along a “special” boudoir photography album (also taken and created by Pogo Photo) to my soon to be husband while capturing his response on camera!
They have an amazing portfolio from babies, to engagements to weddings and are willing to travel. I encourage everyone to check out their website to see all their amazing work! www.pogophoto.com
Thanks for everything Steve and Emily! Cheryl Canzanella-Goodell
