Had about 24 guests at our small beach wedding, and this restaurant was an excellent place for our reception. The food was great, although sometimes we had to go get someone for se...
rvice (i.e. getting the champagne toast out to us or the cake cutting materials). This was probably because our reception was inside a private room (the tournament room). However, it was a lovely reception and I definitely recommend this place.
At first the director of operations, Allison, was great by offering us a good deal on the venue price but after that, I was extremely disappointed. She seemed very inexperienced i...
n dealing with a wedding but seemed flexible until the day of the wedding reception. The entire planning of the reception I was dealing with Allison but then the day of the wedding, Allison was not there and the manager of the restaurant had no clue what was going on. There was a huge gap of communication between the operations director and the restaurant manager. I gave them a blueprint of how I wanted the room set up and they couldn't even follow the clearly labeled blueprint. Most things that Allison agreed to with me was contracted by the manager the day of the wedding. The food was good but definitely not enough food for $43 a person. Also I have a HUGE problem with the staff they hired. We asked Allison if we (the bride and groom) needed to be carded (for alcohol consumption) before the wedding so that we didn't have to worry about bringing our ID on our wedding day, she said that we wouldn't have to worry about that. The day of the wedding, my husband (the groom) was asked for his ID, he told them that he was the groom and that he was the one that bought the alcohol in the first place. They still demanded his ID and when my husband went to the car to get his ID, the staff laughed at him and made fun of my husband behind his back and there was more than just one witness! Also I should have been told that one of the appetizers was going to be served in a dixie cup. Definitely could have done better for the money we spent.
