I can’t really explain how great Ivy was for our engagements/wedding but I’ll try.
I don’t know how my now-wife found Ivy but I was told she seems “really cool” and we should see how engagement photos go. We happened to be going to Utah for some reason, 6+ hours away from our home in Wyoming, and Ivy made the time to suggest a date and place for us while we were there. After meeting with her, I think we decided she’d be our photographer before taking a single photo - she brought great energy and made us feel comfortable in front of a camera.
Now for wedding day - amazing. I think my wife had told Ivy that we wanted to be as present as possible instead of doing a bunch of staged photos, and that’s exactly what we got - and more. We’ve only gotten our previews back but from what we’ve seen, Ivy knocked it out of the park. Absolutely fantastic photos. Not to mention she had another wedding the following day and still got us our perfect previews within <36 hours of our send off.
All that being said, as a business owner myself, the biggest thing that stood out to me was how good Ivy was not only with us, but with our guests and other vendors. She has an absolutely fantastic personality that definitely added a lot of energy to our special day, and she meshed so well with our personalities that it almost seemed like one of our friends was our photographer. We wish she lived closer to us, because we had so many Wyoming friends who loved her and were asking if I thought she’d travel out east for their weddings.
Bottom line, Ivy was worth every penny and more - you get more than just a photographer when you hire Ivy for your wedding
