Vanessa and her assistant are simply the best! They’re so relaxed, professional, and ensured we were comfortable during the entire engagement session. She was recommended to me by another bride and I am so glad I found her. She explained to me exactly what I should expect and how I could prepare properly. Guiding me from what colors to wear and the style of dress that would achieve the same bohemian feel I had imagined. We had several phone conversations and I could also directly text her. I felt really comfortable by the time we actually met. What was so comforting, is knowing exactly what to expect on our day. Thank you!

Vanessa and Fred are amazing! I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with this incredible photography couple! They arrived on time, were organized, and professional. They made us all feel very comfortable and showed us some of the photos they were taking. We had to reschedule our wedding two times due to Covid and throughout the whole experience Vanessa was patient, kind, and helpful. She never charged us more money even though we got married three years later. I am so thankful for how flexible she was with us! I asked them to capture a lot of photos with my son and Fred didn’t leave his side during the bridal party photos. We received a sneak peek literally two days after our wedding, and then about a week later got a sneak peek gallery. Our photos are stunning. Vanessa and Fred are true artistic photographers who captured our beautiful wedding in their artwork. Thank you so much for being an integral part of our day!

Vanessa and Fred are so talented and so funny! My husband and I are NOT photogenic people at all, so we were stressed at times not knowing when/how we should pose and we didn’t bring many ideas to the table. Luckily, Vanessa is so talented and had so many great ideas and Fred kept us laughing the whole time! Vanessa even helped recommend a lot of vendors and give us great advice since we’re new to the area. We’ve only gotten some of our sneak peaks so far from the wedding, but we loved them so much and can’t wait to see the rest! Thankfully also, she lets you see the gallery as she adds more and more photos over time. I’m used to having to wait for weeks and then get bombarded with them all at once, so it’s definitely a plus that we can see some of them sooner! I would definitely recommend Poise Photography to anyone in the area!

Vanessa and Fred did the pictures for my daughters wedding and I can't put into words just how beautiful they are! Covid 19 caused a few issues and we had to move venues with only about 3 weeks notice, but they took it all in stride and somehow managed to make our backyard seem like a romantic getaway. It was such a pleasure to work with Poise Photography for our May 16 wedding! Vanessa was so kind and willing to work with us when the pandemic forced us to change our wedding date and venue, and her flexibility at the last-minute change in plans was a relief and an encouragement in a very stressful time. Hi All! We decided on having our Engagement photos done in Virginia Beach because my fiances family lives here. I had a hard time finding a photographer since I am not from this area and met my finance at school. I found Poise Photography on Instagram and fell in love with their work. We were a bit nervous to take pictures as we normally do not take formal images. Vanessa made us feel so comfortable and we had such a blast! We are not sure yet if we are getting married in Virginia Beach, but if we do we will definitely hire her as our Photographer!!! If you are a bit shy like me, she will help you so much. I say hire her!

Where to begin... I met Vanessa at a local bridal shop when I was shopping for my dress and immediately felt so comfortable with her. We booked with Poise Photography last year and had our wedding in February. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest our pictures came out so beautiful! Through the entire process from our Engagement pictures to our wedding day she helped me plan my day. We did hire a day coordinator, but Vanessa helped me so much with finding reliable people. (My hair team cancelled 2 months before my wedding). Planning a wedding was a bit stressful and being able to call her and get advice was so nice. I was able to call or text with any questions I had at any time and she always helped. We did end up changing a couple of things last minute and she had no problem changing some things last minute. Overall, our experience was fantastic! We have already recommended her to so many. She also gave us a military discount!

I haven't had my wedding yet, but if you are in the process of securing vendors for your upcoming wedding it can be super overwhelming and Vanessa was an absolute wonder. We hit it off immediately and I knew I wanted her to be there on my special day. She guided me through everything and has even helped with other aspects of my wedding. She responds right away to any request and we have kept in touch throughout my entire process. She even worked with me on scheduling my engagement shoot with my fiance's deployment schedule. I HIGHLY recommend her. I will be sure to update my review after for more details :)

The pictures taken were of a surprise proposal at Belle Isle in Richmond, Va. Vanessa and her team captured many fantastic photos. They were in position before we arrived at location and hovered around until the right moment. The only issue we had was selecting which photos to send to friends and family because they captured so many amazing photos. They are very responsive, whether it be though thumbtack, facebook, or even text. They are worth every penny, and honestly, likely more based upon their professionalism and quality of their work.

The best most creative photographer I have ever met! We chose a destination wedding and met Vanessa in Virginia Beach. If you have a destination wedding, you will realize that choosing vendors can be scary. Vanessa did not disappoint! She helped us come up with a great schedule and we LOVE our pictures.

Vanessa and her team were extremely accommodating and helped us out when our other photographer cancelled on us! Our entire wedding was perfectly captured. Book her!!!

Vanessa was amazing! Our wedding party was running late (hair/makeup) and Vanessa was able to still get every shot we wanted. She is such a breath of fresh air!
