I’m very picky and didn’t want the traditional white dress, so they were great and picking out dresses that came in other colors. y price range. Both were very respectful of both. Upon visiting the other bridal shops I had a few dresses on "hold". I liked them but something was telling me to not pull the trigger on them. After I tried on my array of dresses at Poised, I had 3 I couldn't decide between and all 3 were better than anything I had seen elsewhere. They were great providing updates during my dressmaking process as we are in the midst of COVID-19. They have a close relationship with the rep at the designer I chose. She sent them photos of me in the dress and explained the little tweaks I hoped to make. Because of her communication and genuine relationship, the designer was able to make a few alterations in house during the initial dress making process. I am so grateful for this store and the ladies who helped! I am able to sit back and focus on other pieces of the wedding because I know Poised is taking care of my dress!

I kept having the same dresses shown to me at all of the stores, which was very frustrating; I just wanted something that felt truly unique and special. At Poised Bridal I found the PERFECT dress. Poised Bridal is beautiful, clean, they treat you like Family, and because of the way it is set up, feels very intimate, even though there were other brides in other parts of the store.

They follow up with you so know exactly what's going on. I even accidentally left a necklace in the dressing room and they kept it in a safe for me overnight till I could pick up the next day. They are absolutely customer service oriented! Then there's alterations. I have heard horror stories about in-house alterations at other bridal salons (and witnessed them first hand) but not here. My dress was not easy to alter and my tailor did it with such precision and skill. I was completely in awe of her talent. It was nothing short of craftsmanship! AL principio no creí que hubiera necesidad de buscar en ningún otro lado, pero mi hija insistió porque su amiga compro su vestido en Poised, y WOW la selección de vestidos es muy buena, mi hija tuvo una difícil decisión porque le gustaron TRES. Poised Bridal was my first bridal stop, but I wish it had been my last because I completely regret going to another salon in McAllen afterward, and lost out on amazing deals, but I felt like I had to go to more than one bridal salon because I thought it wasn't possible to find the one on the first go around. However, I couldn't get the Poised Bridal dress out of my head. Side note, the salon on 10th in McAllen was AWFUL!. Do NOT go anywhere else. Poised bridal gives you the BEST experience ever! I went back to Poised two days later to get my dream dress - the very first dress I tried on. I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day!

Each time I visited for a fitting, I was greeted with smiling faces, cheery personalities and warm hugs. I felt like all of the girls have become my friends! The month before the wedding, I lost a couple inches of weight, and when I went for my final fitting a week before my big day, it needed to be taken in. They assured me it was no problem and quickly completed the alterations. My dress was perfect when they finished the modifications and alterations! I got so many compliments on the style, but I also got quite a few on how well it fit me. The alterations team at Poised Bridal does top-notch work. I can't thank them enough for making my dress buying experience exceptional and fun!

I would have any luck, but I knew I had to continue the dress shopping journey as our wedding was months away. As soon as I arrived I was quickly approached by my consultant and was offered something to drink. We went back and she started asking how my shopping appearance had being going thus far. I told her the truth and that they had been fine. I had a dress in mind that could possibly be the one I go back to, I just needed to go to one more place to make sure which happened to be Poised. I showed her my top contender and she asked me what was missing from it? I told her I couldn’t put my finger on it, it was just missing that “this is the one” feeling and factor. She quickly went on her search and returned with two dresses. I put on the first dress and immediately had that this is what I’ve been waiting for feel! It sounds super corny and cliché, but I truly felt that “when you know you know“ feeling. I was super excited to show my mom and she could see on my face that I had found MY DRESS! They did an amazing job and listened to me and even after I knew I was certain she had me try on two other dresses just to make sure. We toasted with a glass of champagne and I had such a feeling of relief! This place was amazing from start to finish and they are a life saver. They helped me get really specific and narrow down to a small selection of dresses, and then I kid you not, let me keep trying on two dresses for at least 15 minutes back and forth. I don't know how she has that kind of patience. She didn't push me into any style, or offer an opinion. She asked me what I did and didn't like, and brought selections based on that. They offer the best customer service. Felt amazing to say yes to the dress here!

Poised Bridal could see this and put me in my own large room for each fitting, away from the madness so that it was just me, my mom, and best friend. It was perfect and very special for us. I truly appreciate the made to my size dress, which saved me in alterations. You hear horror stories of brides spending thousands for additional alterations and salons just trying to take advantage. Nancy the owner and the entire staff are phenomenal and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. I can’t say enough about how great they were.
