We had our wedding at Poland Spring Resort. It was the most memorable, amazing night ever. They put out my decorations exactly as I wanted. Cyndi and the staff are awesome. It was a weekend I will never forget!
We couldn't be happier with our wedding at Poland Spring. We didn't even notice the rain because we had so many beautiful indoor spaces. Ceremony in the All Souls Chapel, cocktail hour in the Maine House, and reception in the Water Museum. It was absolutely perfect. Cyndi was so easy to work with, she did all the set up of the decorations and helped us pick out a great turkey dinner that got many compliments. My family is from Maine, but my husband's family is from New York and New Jersey so it was a destination wedding for them. We rented out all of the onsite cottages, as well as the hideaway and the beach house, everyone had an awesome time at the resort. It was so nice to be able to have breakfast with everyone in the morning, and meet up again for supper and a band on Saturday evening before heading to Rick's bar in the Maine Inn. We loved our weekend and our wedding. Thank you Cyndi and Poland Spring!
My wedding went off without a hitch at Poland Spring Resort. Everything was just simply perfect! Would recommend to anyone getting married. =]
This is ideal for the bride that doesn't want to have to book a zillion vendors! The ceremony and reception sites are both at the resort. The meal was great. We amped up the reception with our own décor (chair covers with sashes, table runners, and so on) and Cyndi did ALL of the set up and take down. All you have to do is show up! Oh, and bring a cake, photographer, favors, and flowers. Would've given it 5 stars, but the reception hall is a bit dated.
We were so happy with our decision to have our wedding at Poland Springs and we loved working with Cyndi! She responded almost immediately to our emails and did everything she could to help accommodate all of our requests. Between my husband and I, we have a very large family and did not want to 'cut' the guest list to lower our costs. Poland Springs provided a buffet for up to 200 guests for one price, so we were able to invite all of our friends and family and did not have to decide who 'made the list'. We also really wanted an outside wedding and they have a gazebo overlooking beautiful country. Our hesitation with an outdoor wedding though, was the backup plan if it rained or was cold. But Poland Springs has a non-denominational chapel on the property that we were able to use as our rain backup for no extra cost. We weren't sure about the mist on the morning of the wedding, and decided to move the ceremony inside only 20 minutes before the wedding. Everything was moved and ready for us by the time the wedding started! I was so impressed with Cyndi and all of the staff at Poland Spring! The staff also set up the entire reception hall for us, so we didn't have to worry about any decorations that morning. The food was also really great! We were provided a suite for two nights as part of our package and a "Just Married" golf cart that we were able to take around the property. We had access to the bar above the golf club house for a casual after party, where we could continue to hang out with all of our guests. Everything was beautiful!
Beautiful grounds. Ceremony available to be done at church or gazebo. But not really willing to do outdoor reception. Indoor hall is literally a bingo hall. Very old feel.
This chapel is BEAUTIFUL. The mosaic tiles and marble are such a spectacular view. I loved this place. It is, however, just a tad on the steep-end when it comes to cost considering what you get for your money. We paid 400 dollars to have the facility for 1 hour for rehearsal, and "3 hours" for the event... which in essence isnt too bad. However, we could only arrive 1 hour before and no sooner, had only time for a 20-or so minute ceremony and then had to leave an hour later.. so we didnt have a ton of time for pictures at the end or for prep before the ceremony. I loved it,and the reason why I chose that place was because of the old Skinner pipe organ which is a glorious view as well. My intention was to use the traditional bridal and recessional marches on the Skinner...HOWEVER, at the start of my rehearsal the night before I was made aware that the organ was not working and I was devastate. I do not know for how long it was broken, but I was very upset. I was upset mainly because I had to hire someone who was authorized on their list to play the organ.. and come to find out it was broken and it was too late in the game to cancel the organist so we had to pay her anyway even though she only played the upright piano. It was a bummer since we know PLENTY of people who can play the piano and the Chapel did not require an authorize pianist. In any case, the ceremony was beautiful and the coordinator there, Linda, was so generous and nice. She made everything so easy! The only other thing I would say is that we booked the chapel 15 months ahead, and at that time we were told they do only 1 wedding per day.. well about 2 months before our wedding as I'm working on the rehearsal with the Coordinator i learned that my wedding was 1 of FOUR that day. and 1 of 3 rehearsals the night before. I do not like cramming stuff in a small timeframe. I would have liked to have been the only event that weekend as I was told 15 months prior. It felt rushed knowing there were people before and after my event. Im sure they felt the same. Great place tho... very lovely. :)
The All Souls Chapel is absolutely beautiful. The wedding package they have is almost all included: you recieve a ceremony site, reception hall, a dj, food, dessert bar, pub, appetizers, some decorations, and the staff does practically all the work. You also get either a hotel sutie at one of their inns or a cabin for the weekend. The food was amazing and the dessert bar was delicous. However, the decore of the place could use some serious TLC.
I was married on July 3, 2010 at the Poland Spring Resort. Everything was wonderful. They have a package that includes food, many decorations, a DJ, and a hotel room for my husband and I for the weekend. Cyndi Robbins is the owner and helped us through every step of the way with planning. She was extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to cater the wedding to our specific wishes. The location is beautiful with views of the White Mountains. There is a small chapel on site for the ceremony which is where we had our wedding; but they also have a gazebo if you prefer and outdoor wedding. It was so convenient to have the wedding and the reception at the same location, and to have one person in charge that I could talk with about my ideas and desires for the wedding and reception. I highly recommend this venue.
