I can't say enough good things about Kate! Not only is she the most kind and organized person ever, she is an unbelievable photographer. She shot both our engagement & wedding photos and delivered the full albums within 2 days of each event (some of my friends have waited nearly seven months after their wedding to get their albums back from other photographers!). Not only is she fast, but her photos are beautiful and it's clear she is passionate about her work. She knows the right way to kiss to look good on photos, the best way to dip, how the sun will hit at each and every angle - and we are obsessed with legit every single photo on our album. We will absolutely be hiring Kate for any other photo needs in the future!

Covid messed up a lot of things for almost everybody, but covid also brought certain people together. Kate is one of those people who was brought to my wife and I. When our original photographer canceled to do our wedding because of covid, we connected with Kate, thankfully. She was more than happy to do our backyard wedding and has since done maternity photos, and family photos as well. My wife usually plans all the photo sessions and I’m just along for the ride but Kate is the best. She’s professional, friendly, and skilled. One of the best photographers around.

I was a worried bridesmaid... she only took a couple pictures in each pose. Felt like 1 lol... but ALL of them came out amazing. She got all of our attention and timed it perfectly that we all were in unison. (Meanwhile i take a video of my kid just to screenshot that perfect moment cause i cant time anything for a photo!) We had time to do lots of different locations and felt very comfortable with her. The way she edits is stunning as well!

Kate made this experience easy, organized, and so seamless along the way. My husband and I decided to get married with only 4 months notice, so Kate sprung into action. She helped us understand the timeline of the day and fit in both our wedding and engagement shoot to a busy summer. She made us feel comfortable in what can be an awkward event when you’re not used to getting your picture taken. Kate captured beautiful settings, family members, and pictures of us we’ll have forever. She blended into the group, put everyone at ease, and delivered photos quicker than I ever expected (day after the engagement photos and 3 days after the wedding!!). 10/10 would recommend!!!

Kate is an absolutely outstanding photographer and a joy to work with! She did an incredible job of capturing the feeling of the moment. Bill and I have been together for over 9 years and we knew at some point we would marry, but it was never the "right" time. Parents' passing, surgeries, accidents, family stress, and of course the pandemic. Well we got engaged on June 28th and decided to marry on July 10th! Everything fell into place and Kate, fortunately, was available. We would have been happy with a couple nice pictures, what we received was amazing! Kate was so easy to work with and we were looking at pictures in a matter of a day or two. Kate is wonderful! She made us feel at ease and comfortable right away during our engagement session, and was really flexible and accommodating when we needed to postpone our wedding because of Covid. She photographed our microwedding and was so wonderful to work with. All of the photos she took turned out gorgeous, and we can’t wait to have her shoot our bigger ceremony and reception this fall!

The end result was stunning photos all around, from our couples shots to our getting ready photos, to the ceremony and finally the reception. 5 stars is not enough! On a scale of 1 to 10, Kate is a 13.5. She makes it so easy for even the most awkward of us to not only feel comfortable in front of the camera, but beautiful in their own skin. I have been lucky enough for her to capture some amazing moments in my life and I wouldn't have thought to have anyone else orchestrate our engagement shoot. This girl will climb mountains and slippery rocks to get that perfect shot that you will cherish forever and she will do it with a smile on her face and without any hesitation. She is honest and go above and beyond every time she works with someone. I highly recommend Kate for all of your photography needs (and graphic design).

Polar Square Designs are incredible. Kate has literally documented every major life event I have had - photo shoots of my animals, our engagement photos, our wedding, a boudoir shoot and a rock the dress shoot in the summer after our wedding. Every time she manages to nail exactly what my vision was and her turnaround time on the images is so fast. She captured every single important moment at my wedding and I was left with hundreds of beautiful images that will last a lifetime. After the wedding, she and I had an idea to do a shoot in my dress on my horse and she knew exactly what I was hoping for and made sure we got the shot. I can't speak more highly of Kate's talent, professionalism and how comfortable she makes everyone involved.

My fiancé and I used Kate for our engagement pictures. We wanted something different with a romantic woodsy vibe. Kate took us to purgatory chasm and captured exactly what we were looking for! She even got some pictures of our puppy (who at the time was pretty rambunctious 😂). Kate will make you feel at ease and keep you laughing. I’d absolutely recommend her!

The whole experience of working with Kate, from our initial FaceTime consultation (including cameo by her adorable children) to the day of our elopement, was hassle-free and as easy as getting photographed on your special day can be. Your search for a wedding photographer is over! From the minute we met Kate, we knew she was going to be great. She's so calm, very organized, and most importantly, her portfolio of work is stunning. A doozy of a summer thunderstorm blew through during our outdoor ceremony bringing thunder, 44 mph wind gusts and hail. Kate was extraordinarily calm in a tense situation and assured me that the photos from the day would be beautiful. She did not disappoint. Kate has an amazing eye for capturing candid moments and the personalities of the individuals in her shots. The pure magic and joy of the day radiates in every single one of our wedding photographs. Kate's second shooter, Irena Mendel, was fabulous as well. They kept us laughing the entire time, even during the stress of a storm. Kate was an amazing photographer for our Cambridge City Hall wedding! She was a joy to work with from start to finish and the photos turned out absolutely wonderful. She captured some truly candid moments along with some great posed photos, and was able to guide us so we looked natural and comfortable. My husband and I are not very comfortable in front of a camera but Kate was so helpful in getting some great shots. She has a very creative eye and captured some truly beautiful photos right in the middle of downtown Cambridge. Based on a strong recommendation of a friend, I hired Polar Square Designs to shoot engagement photos of my daughter and her fiancé, and later to photograph their wedding in June, 2019. I can’t say enough good things about Kate and Polar Square Designs. My husband and I hired her to shoot a very small wedding in downtown New Bedford. Neither my husband nor I are very comfortable in front of the camera and she made it so easy. She was extremely professional but still down to earth and lots of fun! The price was extremely reasonable for an engagement session and wedding. I would recommend her to anyone!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer! Kate is amazing! She is extremely professional, friendly, creative, and always willing to go the extra mile for her clients (including braving the cold and wind on the beach in January to shoot our engagement photos!). Kate is absolutely amazing! From the beginning, I knew Kate would make our wedding day picture perfect and stress free. The day of our engagement session it was rainy and cold, but Kate was still willing to photograph us even when it meant getting wet! We had a blast finding different locations throughout the Rodger Williams Park to take pictures. Even though we ended up very wet and my hair was a mess, the picture still came out beautiful! Kate was so quick to edit and send us the pictures as well. The day of the wedding, Kate was right on-time to our hotel and patiently waited for me to return from the hair salon as we were running a little behind. She assured me that everything would be fine and not to feel rushed. Kate helped the day go smoothly and put my mind at ease. From getting ready at the hotel, to family pictures at the church and group shots during cocktail hour, Kate was there to help every step of the way. Kate sure does have an eye for picking out great picture locations; she even spent time climbing up rocks to get better shots of us out on the golf course during our cocktail hour. Our wedding photos came out amazing, and we owe that all to Kate! We had a second shooter as well, Elise, who was also amazing! Elise spent time before the ceremony with the groom and groomsmen taking “getting ready” photos and group pictures of the men. During cocktail hour, Elise helped coordinating everyone for group pictures, taking pictures of guest at cocktail hour, and spent time taking detail picture of the reception area. Kate Taylor is beyond a doubt an incredible photographer to work with. The first time we met Kate, we knew she'd be the perfect person to work with for our engagement photos and wedding. She was open to our idea of doing engagement photos at Roger Williams Zoo, and was enthusiastic to photograph our wedding at Mystic Aquarium. Kate was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, and had a comprehensive questionnaire for us to fill out regarding the wedding. Kate thought of details we'd never even considered, but that were very important. When the second shooter she had arranged had an emergency come up, Kate found a replacement (who was amazing!) right away, and didn't tell us until the situation was already resolved. During group photos, Kate gave clear and concise directions that helped our large wedding party move quickly through the list of shots we wanted. She even shot outside with us in freezing cold temperatures to get pictures with the belugas. We received our wedding photos in a lightning quick time frame, and, they are spectacular. Kate captured everything from the DIY details that were important to me to the ceremony to the speeches to the party atmosphere in stunning images. Part of our package included a wedding album, which Kate put together for us. She sent us a proof and was quite open to any photo swaps we wanted to make. She also helped us pick the best photo for a metal print we ordered with her. She helped make our wedding day run smoothly, and everyone told us how fun and amazing our photographer was. We picked Kate based on a friend's referral, and we are so glad we did!
