Arlene is super professional and responds in a timely manner. Her team is the best when it comes to cakes and personalization. I have been using her for all occasions and she always makes my vision come to life. Her team is very talented. I also appreciate her flexibility. My son had been sick when we were suppose to have his party so I had to cancel for a different day and she accommodated. It’s so great when you don’t have to worry about an additional item on your list!

I had a great experience working with Polkadot Cake Shop. The process was very streamlined and professional in designing my custom cake. The end result was beautiful and was exactly what I had imagined for my event. The cake itself was delicious, all of my guests had positive feedback on both the look and taste of the cake. I hosted a bridal shower for a friend and ordered a travel themed layer cake. The cake was stunning! So elegant. And it was delicious. The bottom layer was chocolate with Oreo filling and the top layer was confetti cake with strawberry filling. The shop provides so many cake and filling flavors. There will be something for everyone’s taste.

I used poka dot for my sisters bridal shower cake and dessert . It was super easy to place an order online, they were super helpful in delivering my order last min . I was so great full for all there help. Also everyone at the shower raved about how delicious the cake was.

Our cake design process was so easy and smooth with Arlene. We had to do our cake tasting at home (which honestly, what’s better than sweat pants and cake on your own couch haha). We opted for vanilla champagne cake with a cannoli filling. The cake was delivered on time and just beautiful, clean looking, and just what we asked for. She answered any question we had and made sure that we stuck to our budget when out come to designing.

Arlene and her team have been nothing short of amazing and making the most delicious desserts for bright my bridal and baby shower. They have gone above and beyond my expectations with timely responses, accommodating my requests, and delivering + setting up on time. Will continue to use them for all of my events going forward! Arlene's cake truly stole the show at our wedding! Not only was it visibly incredible (a LEGO cake better than we'd dreamed of), but it was also delicious. We received so, so many compliments on it. Such a pleasant shop to order our wedding cake from. They were easy to work with. We gave them inspiration photos, agreed on a delivery time and date and the rest was history. The cake arrived to the venue with no problems. Our two-tiered Chocolate flavored cake with Mocha Swiss Meringue was waiting for us and it was SO delicious. Everyone was asking us where we ordered from!

Polkadot Cake Shop did the dessert table for our recent wedding—- they were wonderful!! The initial discussion, as well as the entire planning process was so smooth and easy. It was so hard choosing only a few cupcake flavors—there are so many amazing choices!! The cupcakes, mason jar pies, and chocolate covered pretzels were loved by all of our guests! The table display was beautiful as well. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

As a COVID bride, I must say flexibility and compassion were so important when choosing vendors for our wedding and these ladies did not disappoint! They helped me choose quantities for small desserts, were understanding when I had to push my wedding back, and helped arrange delivery at the last second too! Plus, everything was beyond delicious!!! We got so many compliments on the donuts and the donut wall, it was such a fun touch to our dessert table. Seriously can’t recommend them enough!!!

The best cake company I could have ever asked for. I was stressing planning a last minute wedding and needed a dessert station, candy buffet, and a 3-tier cake and boy did they deliver! Polkadot Cake Shop is the most professional, creative, and responsive gluten free wedding cake shop in New Jersey!! We got our gluten free wedding cake as well as gluten free cupcakes and they were so delicious! They captured the look we were seeking and we are very satisfied with our cake. You can send her just a picture and she’ll make it Into a cake, but the taste beats it’s all!!! I’m not usually a cake eater actually don’t like sweets at all and I can honestly say I’ve eaten 1/3 of the 3 story wedding cake that’s served 115 ppl myself. Sorry not sorry. Delivery was on point, very responsible no need to add to any future weddings or events.

The owner was very easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. The desserts were delicious and adorable . They were on time and the camper was so cute. It was a surprise for the bride and groom and they loved it ! They also did the wedding cake which was delicious, and looked so pretty. Definitely something your guests will remember!

Our wedding changed dramatically during this pandemic. A group of 250 at a beautiful hall changed to 10 people total in the backyard. The cake polka dot cake shop made for us MADE the wedding. Not only was it stunningly beautiful - it was delicious! When does anyone gobble up wedding cake? It was moist, scrumptious and pretty - the trifecta!! Arlene worked with us to get an amazing cake at a good price point! We highly recommend!!

Arlene and her crew at Polkadot Cake Shop are incredible! From the moment of inquiry to the day of our wedding, she exceeded our expectations. We had to change our order (to include even more of her fantastic creations) and she was quick to accommodate us. The day of she was prompt and skillfully set up the dessert station. The cake was just as beautiful to look at as it was to eat. HER FLAVORS ARE INCREDIBLE. We shamelessly had cupcakes for breakfast the day after. They are THAT good.

Arlene was a dream to work with. I have Celiac Disease and must stick to a strict gluten free diet. Because gluten free baking is sometimes *not the best,* we were not going to have a wedding cake. After meeting with Arlene and tasting her gluten free cupcakes, we decided on a completely gluten free cupcake tower with a small tasting cake on top. Our non-gluten free guests could not taste the difference -- they raved at how delicious the cupcakes were. And, I was so thrilled to be able to eat cake at my own wedding. Arlene took great care of me. The cupcake tower and tasting cake themselves were beautifully set up. Prior to the wedding, during the planning process, Arlene was easy to communicate with. She always responded to all of our messages in a timely fashion. I can't recommend Polkadot Bakeshop enough!

Arlene at Polkadot Cake Shop was extremely easy to work with. She was responsive right away and made everything seamless. She worked around my schedule and made everything work perfectly. My cake was delivered and set up at my venue while we were getting married at a separate location and set up and I didn’t have to worry about a thing! The cake was GORGEOUS and exactly what we wanted and tasted even better! It was AMAZING. Many of my guests said it was the best wedding cake they’d ever had. 11/10 would recommend!!!

I hired Polkadot Cake Shop to create a cake for my wedding at home and I am so happy I did! The cake looked absolutely breathtaking!!! All of my guests were raving about how beautiful the cake was and also how delicious it was! It was a marvel! I also want to thank the owner, Arlene, as she was so incredibly helpful throughout the process! We went in for a cake tasting and her shop was so adorable and very welcoming! Once we settled on the flavors she drew up a design for us and we just told her to run with whatever she thought would fit the theme of the wedding best, and she produced such a beautiful cake! We even changed our wedding from a venue to our home and she suggested the dessert truck for our wedding. The dessert truck was the hit of the night! My guests were raving about it and I saw several people go back up for seconds and THIRDS!! The dessert truck was so cute and everyone absolutely loved it! Working with Polkadot Cake Shop was such a fun and easy experience! We chose to have one small cutting cake and cupcakes for our guests at our wedding. During the tasting, we were able to bring home six different cupcakes to try. They were phenomenal! They listened to what we wanted and worked with our venue to coordinate delivery and set up. They provided a cake stand and cupcake stand and they were both decorated gorgeously and exactly like our wedding inspo pictures we had sent in! We had many left over cupcakes (I definitely over-ordered because our guests ate many of the cupcakes and even took some home) and they’re even great after pulling them out of the freezer and letting them thaw a bit!

So happy with our five layer cake!! It turned out EXACTLY like the sketch and we got SO many compliments on the taste! The shop was incredibly accommodating from the cake tasting to when it was delivered to the venue on our big day. Truly happy with our choice to go with Polkadot’s!!

When it comes to having a wedding, you always want the best. I researched many different vendors and all signs pointed to Polkadot Cake Shop! Arlene was easy to work with, had a variety of imaginative and delicious desserts and her set up was absolutely adorable. She was prompt, and didn’t need any oversight- she knew exactly what to do! My guests couldn’t get enough of her desserts- so much so we ran out quickly! Absolutely wonderful. Do yourself a favor and check her out!

The most delicious cake ever. From the moment we entered Arlene's shop, we knew she was the one (SERIOUSLY!). She had different frostings and cakes prepared and she worked with us to find the perfect budget fit. Also, got my parents a Cake and Sip gift because we loved the experience so much :)

We absolutely loved our cake!!! While every detail of our wedding was important, the cake was something that was at the top of our list. We were looking for 3 attributes: 1) delicious, 2) a piece of art, 3) something that embodied our relationship. Arlene and team nailed it for all three! Arlene was super easy to work with and articulated our vision to perfection. As "Dead Heads" we wanted to show our love for our favorite band...but also in a subtle and tasteful way. Arlene created an embossed outline of the "steal your face" emblem in the gold tier of our cake - it was was soooo cool! All of our guests raved about how amazing the cake was - from it's design to the taste. We froze some of the cake and have been taking it out to celebrate our monthly anniversary. She understood exactly what I wanted with my wedding cake and wound up making my husband’s night with his surprise grooms cake. We couldn’t have had a more delicious and perfect wedding cake. I would highly recommend Polkadot Cake to everyone and anyone! Our wedding cake was actually included in our catering, however we decided to go with an external vendor for our wedding cake and it was one of the best decisions we made. From the start the owner, Arlene was very easy going and so nice to work with, that flexibility continued throughout the entire process. Our wedding cake was not exactly traditional (It had donuts incorporated throughout) and not only did the cake look just like the pictures we had shown her but it also was so delicious. Several guests have asked me where the cake was from and some said it was the best cake they ever had. We will definitely be using Polkadot for all our future events. Besides our cake, we also had a dessert table with donuts, cake pops, Gluten Free cupcakes, and caramel apples. Unfortunately everything went pretty quickly, however I did get to try the donuts and caramel apples which were very very good! Our guests raved about the other sweets as well. I also made a last minute addition to our order-A Groom's cake, I sent Arlene several different pictures and explained my vision. This was all done through email. Even though this was a last minute request Arlene was so happy and excited to accommodate. Even though we only discussed the cake briefly and through email, it came out absolutely perfect. My vision was nailed and my husband loved the cake. If you go with Polkdadot you will be very happy and your guests will be pleased as well!

Their pricing was very reasonable, the cakes were absolutely delicious, and after meeting with arlene, I felt confident she could make our perfect wedding cake. I cannot say enough about Polkadot Cake Shop. Arlene was very responsive through emails, accommodating with appointment times, helpful and professional. She offered suggestions with cake flavors and design but was never pushy. I appreciated the advise because when the cake arrived, it was more beautiful than I could have imagined and so much better than the Pinterest pictures I came equipped with. My guests are still talking about the red velvet cake. Even people who said they didn't like red velvet LOVED it.

Arlene was amazing! The cupcakes were delicious! Our guest have not stopped talking about what a great idea it was to have cupcakes after our church ceremony. Truly a sweet treat. Our guests were so surprised to walk out after our ceremony and see a cupcake truck. We got married at 1:00 and our reception was at 6:30 so with a lot of time in between the cupcakes were needed to hold people over. Arlene was so easy to work with and the cupcakes were really good. We had 80 guest and Arlene brought about 150-200 (plenty for everyone to have 2). We made customized water bottles and Arlene handed them out to the guest as well.

I got married on July 14th and we had the Polkadot Cake Shop camper outside as our guests were leaving. This was the BEST decision. All of the desserts were extremely delicious!!! People are still telling us two and a half weeks later how the dessert truck was the nicest treat and such an awesome surprise when they walked outside. We keep hearing about those ice cream sammies! Arlene was so sweet and nice throughout the whole process. Wonderful to work with. We had absolutely nothing to worry about. Thank you for being the most perfect ending to our wedding day. We could not recommend the Polkadot Cake Shop enough!!!

Arlene was absolutely amazing to work with. She is so incredibly talented. We originally decided to go for a tasting for our wedding cake based on the fact that she could make a "naked" cake. We had a great tasting session (everything was delicious), and she does a pumpkin flavor in the fall. The cake looked absolutely beautiful. I wanted something simple and elegant, and she created exactly what I was looking for. After we booked her for the wedding, I also asked her to make a groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner. My husband is a huge Cal Bears football fan. I asked her to make a cake of the Cal football field with Marshawn Lynch on it sitting in a golf cart. (My husband was at the game where Marshawn actually stole a golf cart and drove around the field on it.) As crazy as this all sounds, she literally made the most amazing cake. She actually made the field and a man on the golf cart. I was blown away by how well it turned out. She is incredibly talented and my husband was so excited when he saw it. He actually said it was one of the highlights of the weekend! For the rehearsal, we did red velvet with cream cheese icing. For the wedding, she made an amazing pumpkin flavored naked cake with cream cheese filling. We got so many compliments on both cakes. I can't recommend Arlene enough!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Arlene did our wedding cupcakes and cake as well as the grooms’ cake. Everything was gorgeous AND delicious! I came to her with some vague ideas and the outcome blew our minds! We couldn’t have asked for anything more! Our guests were raving about the cupcakes. On top of baking scrumptious desserts, she’s extremely responsive during the planning and set everything up perfectly the day of the wedding. The cake and cupcakes definitely helped make our wedding the best day ever! We will definitely be back!

Arlene nailed it. The design was spot on. The grandness of the cake was breath taking. We did a five tier cake with two different flavor combos and they were simply to die for. We made sure the venue saved us left overs. Everything we asked for and a very competitive price and on short notice!! She also made us desserts which were amazing. The bridal shower cake was from there too and it was an amazing semi-naked cake. Delivered professionally and set up. As a bonus i'm celiac and the cake was gluten free totally and the crowd and no freaking idea. Batter on point, good blend of flours which left no grain-like texture and the frosting was not overdone and it worked so well. I plan on returning for my bday!! Thanks so much arlene!

Deciding on and ordering a cake was the best part of planning our wedding! We booked a tasting and immediately knew that Polka Dot was the perfect place to order our cake. Arlene made it so easy to come up with a design that included both mine and my fiance’s ideas. Our wedding cake came out better than we ever imagined and to this day our guests still talk about it!

My son and daughter in law had a backyard wedding that was catered by food trucks. After having polka dot at my company picnic, we booked them for the for a sweet treat as guests left the wedding. Arlene is the sweetest person that you can ever meet. Every step of the way she helped me get my ideas together. She was honest and did her best to give me the best cake possible.
