Nobody could have topped what Candice did for our wedding. We had Pollen and Pastry do all of our florals as well as all of our desserts. The entire process from first meeting to the day off went smoothly. I made small changes throughout the way and Candice kept our proposal up to date with any changes now matter how small. The day of Candice set up everything (including vase rentals) as well as took everything down. The vase rentals were HUGE for me because we did not end up with everything after it was all over! The centerpieces, bouquets, boutonniere, and corsages were exactly what we were looking for! Our desserts were all amazing and guests commented on how great everything tastes. Our wedding cake was also exactly how Candice and I talked about it being! My bouquet has special charms from passed relatives that we had added into the bouqet. The pieces were kept perfect condition. I could not recommend Candice /Pollen & Pastry enough. We will be using them for any dessert needs in the future.

I hired Pollen and Pastry to make two cakes for my wedding, along with assorted desserts (cupcakes, macroons, cookies, cheesecakes). Everything was fresh, beautiful and delicious!

I found Pollen and Pastry though another wedding that I had attended. Candice made the process so easy and helped me decide how much we needed and what would be crowd favorites. The desert table was set up beautifully and there were no issues with delivery. I thought I had over ordered… nearly everything was gone at the end of the night!!!! People have been asking me after the wedding where all of our treats were from! Highly recommend if you are looking for delicious treats for your wedding or party!

OH MY GOSH POLLEN AND PASTRY IS THE BEST! Sorry for the caps lock, but it's true. It can be difficult to find wedding vendors in Central Illinois, but Pollen and Pastry did an excellent job on the flowers and desserts for my April wedding. Candice was great to work with and knew exactly what to ask me to understand the vibes I was going for with my wedding. The quality and artistry of the flowers was *chef's kiss*, and they were exactly what I wanted. And let me tell you about the cake. I dream about that cake. We got chocolate with chocolate fudge and chocolate icing, as well as strawberry with chocolate fudge and chocolate icing, and I've literally never tasted cake that was that good. It was moist and absolutely delicious. And it looked AMAZING with the dried flowers! I would eat that cake every day, if I could. My mouth is watering writing this review. We also rented dessert plates and brass candlesticks for a super reasonable price. If you work with Pollen and Pastry, know you are getting the best of the best and your event will have people giving you so many compliments.

Candice at Pollen and Pastry made the MOST BEAUTIFUL flowers arrangements for my wedding day. She was so easy to work with. I had no knowledge or experience of flowers going into the process. I didn't really know what to tell her, but she did phenomenal. She also helped me out after another vendor told me they wouldn't help me because I waited too long to request for services after they originally told me to wait before I made the request. That scenario left me in a bind close to the wedding and Candice really came through for me. Highly recommend!!

Don’t even CONSIDER another florist/cake baker. Hire Pollen & Pastry immediately, because trust me - you will be absolutely BLOWN away by the talent that Candice (owner) has. Candice took my wedding from a beautiful wedding to a STUNNING one. Guests literally gasped as they walked into our ceremony and reception spaces because the florals were just incredible. She made my dream and wedding come alive, and she will make yours just as perfect too - TRUST me.

If I could, I would rate pollen and pastry 10/5 stars!! She and her team are absolutely amazing! I ordered a 3 tiered cake, floral centerpieces, and two floral ceremonial pillars. All of the items exceeded my expectations and showed up right on time. I was extremely happy with all of the beautiful flowers and cake that pollen and pastry provided. It honestly felt like a fairytale! Candice and her team were professional, responded on time and everything was very fairly priced!

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our wedding desserts Candice provided in March '23! From the initial phone call she was so energetic and professional. She was also quick to respond or alter any changes we needed. We left our wedding with 0 desserts-- our guests LOVED IT!

Candice and her team are amazing. She was very thorough and straightforward about everything on our first call. I’m not a visionary, so I let her take the reigns once I answered her questions. I had sooooo many compliments on my flowers and cake. The tasting box was an amazing assortment. My husband and I wanted every flavor. They were all delicious. I usually hate carrot cake, but I fell in love with her version! We also got the same cake in gluten free and you seriously could not tell the difference. The cake froze very well and tasted just as good as it did originally 1 year later!! You can’t go wrong with with Pollen and Pastry.

We absolutely loved working with Candice for the floral and some of our décor at our wedding. After seeing her work on Instagram and talking with her over the phone, we knew that she’d be perfect for our wedding day. She was always quick to respond and worked with us on the many changes we made, even up to the month before our wedding. Her flowers and decorations that she added to our tables at our venue were absolutely gorgeous and perfect!

We got our wedding cake from Pollen + Pastry, and WOW - book them ASAP. Our mouths are still watering over this cake. We wanted carrot cake with cream cheese because it’s my favorite, and it was gorgeous and delicious. We also had fun flavors like a peanut butter chocolate, raspberry lemon, and death by chocolate (that was even gluten free) too. Candace was wonderful to work with, and we loved our design too!

Candice exceeded our expectations for our wedding day flowers. I booked her early in our 2 year engagement and had a few revisions to our original plan along the way. She took them in stride and knew exactly what we wanted when it came to the big day. I had a vision for a very wildflower and “boho” look and her creativity made it happen with so many colors, textures, and variety of greenery, wildflowers, and roses. She drove 2 and a half hours to deliver and beautifully set up. We received endless compliments on how unique and beautiful our flowers were. Absolutely LOVED working with Pollen and Pastry for our wedding flowers and dummy cake (a structure that looks like a cake but the innards aren't edible). Candice was always quick to respond and was very flexible with all the changes we threw at her. I gave her an image with our color palette and she matched the colors perfectly. Everything looked gorgeous and we received so many compliments. We would highly recommend working with them!

Candice was fantastic to work with in planning our wedding desserts and cake. We opted for a small, simple cake that turned out beautiful and incredibly delicious. For our "main" dessert for our guests, we went with an assortment of mini pies, mini cheesecakes, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. First of all, the dessert display was incredibly beautiful and we received many compliments on the appearance alone. Second of all, the desserts were absolutely delicious. The dessert table was "completely destroyed" in that our guests did not leave anything behind! We thought we had over-ordered so that there would be some to take home at the end of the night, but everything turned out so delicious that they didn't last very long! We would absolutely recommend Pollen & Pastry for your wedding dessert and cake needs!

Candice was great to work with from beginning to end. She was very organized, friendly and easy to communicate with. Her flowers exceeded my expectations and with limited input from me she completely nailed what I wanted. Her cakes and cupcakes were so good, reasonably priced and loved by all our guests. Our wedding cake was delicious and gorgeous! Because Pollen and Pastry specializes in desserts and flower arrangements, I was able to have my dream of fresh pressed flowers decorating my cake come true.

Candice was extremely professional and quick with her responses to our inquiries. We went with a smaller two-tier cake and a few different options for smaller desserts (macarons, mini pies etc). The pastries and cake all turned out beautifully and our guests loved the individual desserts and variety! Having GF options available also pleased our guests. You are also able to rent display pieces which was also a huge help if you aren't sure your venue is able to provide the pieces you want. Note: you do have to return them yourselves but it was totally worth it. Our only critique (that we should have clarified on our end as well) is that we definitely did not order enough for our wedding guests; it was our understanding from our contract that it would be enough for 200 people and not 200 pieces of desserts. People would take 3-4 smaller pieces and thus there wasn't enough for everyone (my groom and I didn't get to try any). If we had known that, we would have doubled our order. Still, we were glad nothing went to waste! Definitely would book her again for another event in the future. Thank you, Candice!!

I don't even know where to start... Candice is truly a master at her craft (BOTH OF THEM!). The florals for our wedding truly left me speechless. Her attention to detail is unmatched and her creative mind is something special. Candice was such a pleasure to work with and made every part of the process easy and fun. And the outcome was breathtaking. The cake and cupcakes we had for our wedding were spectacular. The amount of guests who texted me after the wedding checking to see if there were any leftover cupcakes spoke for itself. I am so lucky we found Pollen and Pastry and will use her services any chance I get for future events. Candice, you are an absolute ROCKSTAR!

Candice is the BEST! I was absolutely blown away by what she was able to put together for our wedding last month! Being a Wedding Planner, I was pretty specific in my wants when it came to our wedding floral. Candice was able to do that and SO MUCH MORE! I told Candice my ideas (with little floral knowledge on my end) and she nailed it effortlessly. Candice and her team are AMAZING. My husband and I were originally in Champaign and had a tasting and booked with Candice prior to COVID for a May 2020. Well with COVID changing everything we ended up canceling 99% of our plans including our desserts and florals. Candice was very kind and understanding of the situation. Well, come 2021 and we ended up having a reception in the suburbs and when planning we decided to drive 2 HOURS one way the day before the event to pick up a cake and a bouquet because we LOVE this company. Candice and her team made my bridal bouquet dreams come true and the carrot cake was to DIE for, everyone loved it. To say we are obsessed with Candice and her abilities is an understatement. We HIGHLY recommend pollen and pastry and will be doing business whenever we are in town!

Candice was so great to work with! Through all the ups and downs of 2020, she was flexible and gracious. We ended up cutting back on our original plans, but adjusting our contract was super easy. She delivered to our house on the wedding morning, exactly on time. She was in & out and everything was set up nicely. Our florals were gorgeous and I got so many compliments on them! I gave a few things that I liked/wanted such as my favorite flower and the shape of my bouquet and she took care of the rest. And of course, the desserts were to die for. She accurately brought our vision for our cake with chocolate brushstrokes in our wedding colors. We had cupcakes & macarons too, I wish we could have included more but we had such a small crowd! Highly highly recommend Pollen & Pastry for florals & desserts. You won’t be disappointed!

Candice is seriously the most amazing woman! She’s great with details and super flexible . She honestly just wants to make your day as perfect and stress free as possible . She was able to help with everything I needed to make my day beautiful, even individual wrapping the desserts since my wedding was during COVID. She even reminded me of things I hadn’t thought of . The desserts were to die for ! And of course the company is reasonably priced , professional, and punctual. A week before the wedding I asked if they could arrive sooner than we had planned. They had prior engagements but still came as soon as they could ! Would recommend them for any dessert or floral needs, especially for a wedding !

Highly recommend Pollen and Pastry for florals. Candice did our wedding and did an incredible job. She traveled almost 2 hours from Bloomington to a Chicago suburb to help us out! I changed my mind on what I wanted my florals to look like many times and she was so flexible and willing to make my vision come to life. Her prices were also extremely reasonable for the beautiful florals she provided. She was timely and we did not have to worry about anything working with her. Definitely recommend!!

Due to covid, I was only able to meet with Candice one time. BUT- She took my vision, and blew me away. The flowers were stunning. Each bouquet was unique. People still ask me about them, or compliment our centerpieces/decor. I can not recommend someone enough!!

I originally found Candice on Instagram, and I knew that I had to have her if she was available. Her work wasn’t the same cookie-cutter stuff that I kept seeing around the Central Illinois area. From the first meeting until to the wedding, she was the easiest person to work with, and she really listened to my vision! Luckily, she had lots of experience to help me with numbers and types of food for our dessert bar. She had the biggest variety of desserts to choose from all the dessert vendors we looked at, and I knew I was in trouble after the tasting. Everything was absolutely delicious! You can really tell that she puts her whole heart into everything she makes. We ended up having six different types of cupcakes, and they were a HUGE hit at our wedding. Everyone is still raving about them this day! She is very organized, professional, kind and meant to be in the wedding business. If you are looking for someone to both desserts and florals, Candice is your woman! My only regret is that we couldn’t use her for our florals, too! I will continue to recommend her to everyone!

I have had the opportunity to work with Candice on a few weddings as well as events and she is SO TALENTED! She recently did a cake inspired by one of her wedding cake designs and it was a big hit. Candice and her team are AMAZING! First of all, the desserts are absolutely delicious. I’ve had many of her desserts and flowers from the local farmer’s market and when I found out she did weddings I knew we had to check her out. We wanted stacked cookie cakes as a tier on our wedding cake and she was the only bakery in town who was genuinely excited to try something new (everyone else seemed very nervous to do that). We also did cupcakes and mini cheesecakes and everyone raved about our desserts - how beautiful and delicious they were. Some people even asked our venue for to go boxes! As far as the flowers, we wanted all greenery (church decorations, bouquets and boutonnieres) with very few flowers and everything was so beautiful. I wanted a lot of texture and was up for something a little different. She combined all of my Pinterest pictures and put her own twist on them (a few little orange berries) to be exactly what we wanted. Candice has a great thing going here and I will choose her and her team over and over again. She was so easy to work with and open to our ideas. Her prices are competitive and it’s a bonus she’s local. Her 2-in-1 business is super convenient when planning a big event that already has many vendors involved. We highly recommend Pollen and Pastry and can’t explain how happy we are with her work!

Candace was a dream to work with. We had so much fun picking unique flavors for our mini cupcakes. They were a HIT at our wedding... such a hit I didn't even get one! And our small tiered cake was gorgeous and DELICIOUS. Seriously SO GOOD. My now husband "doesn't like cake" but he absolutely loved our carrot cake. Couldn't recommend more!

Candice was AMAZING to work with. She did our flowers and our cupcakes for our wedding. She took the pictures we brought her of flowers and our ideas for colors/types of flowers and brought it to life. I loved that neither one of us had to make a ton of decisions for her. She used her experience and skill to create our vision. Also, her cupcakes are out of this world. Her carrot cake is to die for and we could eat her whipped topping with a spoon!!! Hands down would hire Candice for our wedding again.

Pollen and Pastry was great. We only used them for the wedding cake. Candice was really nice to work with. She accommodated my dietary restrictions. I am gluten free and dairy free, so they made sure that there was no cross-contamination. We also used them for my bridal shower. The cake was beyond fantastic. Our guests continuously commented on how great the cake was and that they could not tell it was gluten free. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I also plan on using them again for any other special occasions.

We hired Candice as both our baker and florist for our wedding this past July. I cannot recommend her enough. Not only did I completely change the game plan a few weeks before the wedding, but I also had an outdoor wedding on a hot, raining July day. Candice had everything beautifully set up before our wedding and then a huge storm came and blew everything over. She stayed, worked her butt off behind the scenes to get everything perfect AGAIN. The flowers were beyond gorgeous, the desserts were delicious and the guests were none the wiser. THANK YOU, CANDICE!!!

There aren't enough positive things in the world to say about the job Candice did with our wedding. I just gave her buzzwords like greenery and romantic, and she totally understood my vision and made it come to life. The flowers were insanely gorgeous and the only things that got more compliments were the incredible spread of desserts she made, which were completely devoured before the end of the night. I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding, and I am so, so grateful to Pollen & Pastry for that.

Candice is nothing short of extraordinary. She was our florist and made/decorated our wedding cake and made the whole process seamless. We hired her 9 months prior to the wedding and she was involved and available to us from the moment we had our first meeting. As a couple planning a wedding in Bloomington from the East coast, Candice was a perfect vendor choice. She even sent us a care package to encourage us to enjoy our engagement and not get caught up in the “wedding-planning.” On top of encouraging my fiancé and I, Candice partnered with my Mom to execute a very nuanced and unique design for the reception. Over the course of multiple months, they implemented a vision that made our wedding a complete fairytale. Her arrangements were simply exquisite. We had multiple unique arrangements – bouquets, flower crowns, ceremony vases, centerpieces with different styles for each reception table, and greenery that draped along the Ewing Manor balcony. Each one was a work of artistic mastery. And the cake! Holy cow – it was elegant and super delicious. All said, I would recommend Candice a thousand times over.

HOLY CRAP. Candice at Pollen and Pastry totally outdid herself. The flowers at our wedding were one of the biggest highlights of the night—everyone was talking about them. I definitely wasn't the easiest bride to work with... not knowing exactly what I wanted, making changes all the time, etc., but Candice was receptive and super helpful. And the flowers/greenery she put together were unforgettable. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. We used Pollen and Pastry for our wedding deserts, and we are so glad that we did. From the pies to the cupcakes, everything was so darn good. We had 4 different flavors of mini cupcakes and 2 flavors or pies. Our cake....holy graham cracker goodness. Best cake I have ever had, and we are so glad we froze the top. The choice to use Pollen and Pastry is a no-brainer. For our wedding, we went for both the flowers and mini-cupcakes. Candice was very organized, professional, and on-time for everything. Candice’s cupcakes were so delicious! I loved that we could get a variety of flavors for people to choose from. They got great reviews and went fast at the reception! She also was great to work with and was very responsive, nice, and accommodating!

Candice's work is unmatched! Not overly expensive for such an AMAZING QUALITY in both desserts and flowers!

We went with Pollen and Pastry for both our flowers and cake at our ceremony and reception and could not be happier with our decision! Booking our consultation was so simple, and booking the rest of our appointments and making payments could not have been easier which was so nice when dealing with all of the stress that wedding planning brings. Our guests were so impressed with the variety of cake we had served at our wedding. It was so convenient to have one vendor for both our cake and flowers, and Pollen and Pastry absolutely nailed them both! I cannot say enough great things about them. I absolutely recommend and would choose them over and over again!

I had 3 different appointments with florists and Candice was the best one I had. The others just were not seeing my vision and did not make me feel confident that they could accomplish what I was wanting to create, and made me feel like maybe I was not able to create what I was hoping for or asking for something that was not available for the fall....except Candice. She from the get go was able to know exactly what I was looking for and the vision I wanted to create. We also did our cake with her, her cakes are beautiful and delicious---what more can you ask for? The day of the wedding I feel like you get nervous still because you are not 100% what these will turn out to be. Candice did not disappoint, they were all breathtaking. They truly were everything I wanted and more--and the cake was delicious we had so many compliments on both!

Desserts are a staple in my life! I KNEW I wanted to have an amazing cake to enjoy on the best day of my life. Candice from Pollen and Pastry was easy to work with, beyond creative and extremely talented. I gave her a little bit of information of what I envisioned and she surpassed my expectations. I had been to a couple wedding prior to mine and I was blown away by cupcakes I had a had at one of the weddings. I had texted the bride and found out it was Pollen and Pastry. I immediately went to the website at contacted Candice. At our meeting there were so many flavors that were delicious I could barely make a choice. She totally got my vision for my Wedding. I couldn’t wait for her to show up the day of my Wedding to see her creations. I was blown away. She has the magic touch! I recommend her to everyone who gets engaged!

Candice Hart, the owner, was amazing to work with from the time we met for the first consultation up to our actual wedding day! She went above and beyond, helped us set up our décor with her team and it looked outstanding! The flowers were incredibly fresh and just what I wanted. Her desserts, macaroons, cupcakes were delicious! I had so many guests as me where I ordered the macaroons from. My husband, family and I couldn't be more pleased! I will defiantly recommend her to my friends and all future brides. I've already started!

Pollen and Pastry was such a blessing for us to find! After our taste testing my husband and I knew without a doubt this was who we NEEDED to use. We loved meeting Candice and for her to create exactly what we pictured for our wedding day was the most perfect. We loved being able to share with our family and friends and the delicious treats and will continue to send people her way for many occasions!

Candice was absolutely amazing to work with. I trusted her from the minute I met her and I just knew she would bring my vision come to life. She did that and more!! All of the flowers were absolutely breath taking and put together so beautifully. The desserts were unreal!! Candice is seriously SO talented and central Illinois is very lucky to have her!! (BTW, she's amazing at flower walls!!!)

Simply put, Candice was great to work with. She was always available and very responsive. Her calm demeanor and enthusiasm to the details is undeniably reassuring and well worth the surprise. She is the best of the best and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the final results. She did our centerpieces, church and the cake! I'm not sure how she does it all but she does! I wish I could attach pictures of all her hard work! It took our breath away!

When I met Candace, I knew that everything I was about to ask her to make for our wedding would be stunning! She made our wedding cake with our wedding colors using brushstrokes of chocolate. She was so excited to go outside of the box with us. Everyone complimented her cupcakes that’s we had at our wedding. She also did macarons and tied in our wedding colors more. She also did mini flower frosted cupcakes for my bridal shower and glitter macarons to match! She was so easy to work with, and of course everything she made was above par. I recommend every fellow bride to her. So unique and delicious! Thank you so much Candace for making our wedding amazing!

Candice did both our flowers and cake! She was kind and efficient to work with! All changes I made to the plans were updated quickly on our expected bill. She was amazing to work with and the flowers and cake turned out perfect!
