onth before our wedding. We got to try about 6 different cake flavors with different fillings and they were all delicious. We chose the round 4 tiered cake and we got to pick different flavors for each. We chose the chocolate cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting for 2, and the shite cake with strawberry filling for the other two. Every one complimented us on the cake’s flavor and look. Thank you Polly Ann Bakery!

We read a review where they screwed up this wedding cake and it looked horrible, so we went with a basic cake. All white frosting and basic decor. Honestly, it looked better than I thought! It tasted just as good as the tastings we had weeks prior.

The bad on-line write-ups elsewhere of Polly Ann's is not what we experienced at all! The bride (me) was going to totally dismiss them from the short list without even trying them...
- based on the on-line reviews. Since the groom is a great lover of frosted cake, he wanted a chance to check them out, too. I'm glad we did!
It was no small feat to come out on top of all the choices. There were lots of flavor combinations from which to choose. At our pre-arranged cake tasting, Diane showed us the moistest cake and best frosting of all the ones we had tried, including other bakeries that were "specialty priced." In fact, we found Polly Ann Bakery more than accommodating to our requests without continuously adding on extra fees.
We showed Diane the cake topper ahead of time when we ordered the cake, so they could reckon with the weight of it from the beginning. The plastic cake supports seemed pricey at $40, but we got $30 of it back when we returned three of them. The 4th one was on the top of the top layer and we didn't want to remove it before freezing it, so we didn't get a total refund.
The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful. Diane and her crew were outstanding. Our Groom's cake was also creatively done. We wanted a train steam engine. We provided a carved cake pan and photo for colors for a concept and left the details to them. They developed a superb train engine!
On our various trips to drop off the cake topper and discuss the groom's cake, we also tried their other bakery items such as the mocha and the vanilla Florentine rolls, frosted sugar cookies and nutty treats - all to our delight. Do not overlook this bakery for your special functions!

ke size was nearly right on - there was some left over, but I would MUCH rather have that than to have too little. I loved how the price was! There are SO many vendors out there and I ended up with this small place based on yet another recommendation. The price even with the $100 delivery charge (just because the reception site was SO far away from the bakery), was still at LEAST $150 cheaper than any other cake place I found.
