We are super happy with our decision to go with Pond Photography to shoot our wedding and engagement photos. We did our engagement photos in April of 2023 and got married on the la...
st day of September. Kristin was so great to work with from start to finish. And the images she captured, both during our engagement session and on our wedding day, are truly amazing. We are still sorting through our wedding photos, deciding which one's to post and frame, because there are so many good one's. It's hard to narrow it down! We had our wedding photos back in two weeks. She them to us through an email link, and that leads you to a portal where you can view and download them. They were neatly organized into each segment of the day. They covered every significant moment from start to finish. It brought back a rush of great memories to go through the albums! We had never taken professional photos before, and Kristin made us feel at ease. She has a very calming presence, and you can tell she knows what she's doing. No matter the setting or moment, she knew exactly what poses would work best. She’s precise, thorough and has a great feel for the whole process. During the shoots, she’ll tell you exactly what poses to do, when to look at the camera or look away. For people like us, who aren’t naturals, it was a big help. She also gave great recommendations for locations to shoot at around Kansas City, both for the engagement and wedding photos. She led us to spots in the city we would've never found or thought of on our own. All of our wedding party photos were taken outside of Kauffman Performing Arts Center, and they are just so well done. Kristin is as nice as can be, but she knows when to take charge and did a great job of organizing everyone to ensure we got all of the shots we needed. We loved our experience with Pond Photography and look forward to the opportunity to work with her again. For anyone in the KC area planning to get married, Pond Photography would be an excellent choice!

he big day would look and feel like. When the day of the wedding came around, Kristin did an amazing job capturing every highlight and passing moment of the wedding day to help us create beautiful images that will last us a lifetime. Kristin was full of great ideas during both the engagement session and the wedding day. She was very patient with us, and we appreciated her attention to detail. Her shooting and editing style is so beautiful, classic and timeless, which is what initially drew us to Pond Photography.

ak highly enough about her work.
I wanted candid and natural looking, timeless, bright photos. Beyond that, Kristin captured all of the joy of our wedding day and I will treasure these photos forever.
Kristin was a prompt and clear communicator, delivered photos on time, and was a calm and reassuring presence which is MUCH APPRECIATED as weddings have a lot of moving parts.
Kristin worked great with our other vendors and came up with creative, fun ideas on the day of for photos that I never would have thought of.
Kristin is extremely present, which you especially NEED in a wedding photographer. I was very appreciative of the fact that our first meeting was a sort of “get-to-know each other”...
style of meeting. To truly get THE BEST photos, you want someone that understands you and your likes/wants. I also was very thankful for our engagement session, where she continued to learn about our relationship, and how we move about as a couple in order to truly understand what wedding day photos would look like. Kristin is SUPER on point and will help keep to your timeline, as well as offer any pointers she thinks you need to hear. We recommend her!! Her background in graphics amplifies her creative eye. As a photography graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, I felt like I was in the midst of a magazine shoot…at my own wedding, all thanks to Kristin!

agement shoot and really got so many more beautiful shots than I expected. We love all of our engagement photos so much!
On wedding day, she was prompt and helped us stick to our schedule which was so important to me. She was kind and melted right into my bridesmaids, and even as I started to get overwhelmed she helped me to take a breath.
Kristin offered great suggestions and at the same time she made sure to keep an eye out for the candid moments. I'm so grateful for some of the more causal shots that she captured during the day with my groom and parents. They will be life long treasures.
She also really made sure to capture the details. The shots of our rings and invitations are beautiful, and she made sure to capture all of the family photos that we listed for her. She gave suggestions on how long the ceremony needed be to make sure we got the shots and helped us to stand up straight and smile bigger during the day.
The photos are beautiful and its so nice to have all of them digitally so quickly. We only waited two weeks before receiving access to an entire digital library of images, and its so easy to download and buy prints.
Pond Photography offers exceptional service, beautiful talent, perfect suggestions and ultimately delivers unreal photos. Our wedding day was captured perfectly! Thank you, Kristin!

knew I loved her editing style. When the time came for me to plan my own wedding I chose Pond Photography!
Nancy shot our wedding day, along with her second shooter Kat. They did a great job wrangling our large wedding party and family. They also worked well with our videographers.
Our photographs turned out beautifully and we'll cherish them forever! Kristin even came to our home to help us pick out some canvases. That was amazing!
My only suggestion is that you be specific on what photos you would like and point out important family members before the ceremony/reception. We have a lot of pictures of one side of the family and few of the other. Other than that, we're extremely pleased!

seen by other photographers. Both of them are very easy to work with and the quality of the shots are unbelievable. You also get to see your some of your pictures a few days after your special day. I was so excited to see my my pictures and when my online viewing was ready I cried looking at them. The moments that they captured brought back all the feelings I had on my wedding day, they also had pictures of things that I didn't know happened. I would recommend Pond Photography to anyone that needs engagement pictures, wedding photographer, family pictures, etc.
I cannot thank Kristin and Nancy enough for capturing my special day.

We knew that choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions for our wedding day. We did lots of research, narrowed down to a few, and met with them to learn more. ...
Feeling comfortable was important, as this person would be capturing both our engagement photos and the day of the wedding. We definitely felt right at home with Kristin through the whole process and couldn't be happier with our decision. She was professional, timely, and detailed. For our engagement photos, she accommodated all of our odd requests (shooting at the bar we met, bringing our very shy dog, and and outfit change). Earlier this year, she found out she would be having her second baby right around the time of our wedding. She was upfront from the get go, and had a back up plan just in case she came early, but reassured me we would be in good hands either way. Kristin ended up still shooting our wedding about a week before her daughter was born and was still so amazing! I don't know how she does it. We also loved our second shooter, Nancy. They were both so patient and moved around the day with such ease, it was like they weren't even there! The photos do a wonderful job of story-telling the entire day, and we now have priceless memories captured beautifully. From my dad tearing up during the ceremony, to doing the chicken dance at the reception, we will cherish these memories forever. Thank you Kristin and Nancy!!

y. Both of them were extremely nice and made us feel comfortable. They made it such an enjoyable, fun experience! They were very creative, attentive to detail and captured amazing, memorable moments during the wedding day that we'll always cherish. We loved all of our pictures - both engagement and wedding photos! Nancy and the other associate captured our special day perfectly, and then Kristin did an amazing job editing all of the photos. She made the experience of viewing our engagement pictures in her studio so fun as well. We are extremely happy with how our photos turned out!! Thank you all for your amazing job! You captured our special day perfectly!

the perfect person to capture our engagement and wedding photos. She is extremely personable and made us feel at ease being in front of the camera which definitely showed in the final product. Both Kristin and Nancy captured us in our natural state without out being overly posed or staged and allowed us to have a fun, stress-free wedding day. Kristin was very flexible when it came to selecting photo locations, scheduling viewing sessions and creating a custom package that was tailored to our exact desires. Not only was the experience incredible, the photos are beyond amazing. Having crisp, bright photos was on our must-have list and Pond exceeded our every expectation. We can’t thank you enough for capturing our special day so perfectly!

knew that you couldn't put a price on one of the most important days of our lives. We found the best of the best when we decided to work with Pond Photography. From the first day we met to talk about budget, wedding details, etc to the viewing session after our wedding, Kristin was fantastic. She is enthusiastic and so caring. She listened to our wants, desires, and visions and was so accommodating in the planning process and when she shot our wedding. In all of the craziness of planning a wedding for us, (a destination wedding), Kristin made her part very easy and exciting! Our photos are amazing and they will truly be cherished for the rest of our lives. If you are looking for a photographer to go above and beyond for you doing your wedding journey, I would highly recommend Pond Photography. You won't be disappointed.

idn't seem to bother them, as I never once heard either of them say anything about having to be outside taking photos in the heat and humidity! They were still so fun, upbeat, and fantastic. They also took such great photos and we are so thrilled with the results. I can't even choose which photos to get prints of because there are too many great ones to choose from! It's really the best kind of dilemma you could ask for!! If you're wanting a talented, laid back, and fun photographer, go with Pond Photography! Kristin is the owner she was so amazing to work with! All of these talented ladies deserve many accolades. They were fantastic. Super happy for these local entrepreneurs.

very engaging and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, even though we are generally more reserved people. We also did an engagement session with Kristin and had one of our photos printed on a canvas. It sits above our fireplace and our friends say great things about it all the time. We would recommend Pond Photography to any couple who wants a professional and fun photographer to join them on their wedding day.

and truly care about their clients. They have a gift for capturing moments on film that far surpass any photographer I've ever worked with. They listen and note every element of your special day in the making and they do not disappoint. Simply one of the greatest in Kansas City!

gs didn't go according to plan. Last minute we were relocated inside, and all of the places that she had scouted were not an option anymore. She was able to quickly figure things out and adjust as we went. Initially, she was a little out of our price range, but we decided to splurge a little for good pictures. Thinking back, if we had an inexperienced photographer, I don't things would have turned out as well. We have gotten so many compliments on some of our outdoor rain photos and even the indoor ones that we weren't planning to take turned out great! Kristin is very professional, creative and responds promptly. Thanks, Kristin for everything!
